Russian tourists captured photo of Bigfoot (Yeti) on April Fools' Day

A reader sent us these photos from a Russian TV website. The photos were taken on April 1st, near the mountain top of Sheregesh Green showing a creature, covered with hair, walking behind the trees. In the U.S., April 1st is also known as April Fools' Day.

When the photos were uploaded to a Russian Cryptozoology website, some of the members were calling it "fake". One member uploaded a photo outlining a red zipper behind the costume.

Red Zipper?

The photos only show the backside of the creature. A member of the Russian Cryptozoology website who calls himself SasquatchHunter outlined the creature in the photos for us:

  6. That's a pretty big-ass dude to be your average faker. Check out the size of those legs, like tree trunks. Looks real enough to me plus the fact that it's blobby!
