Photo of the Day: Yeti footprint cast from 2011 Yeti Expedition in Russia

A cast of a supposed Yeti footprint taken from Siberia.

This is a cast of one of the ten footprints found in the Azasskaya cave outside the Siberian town of Kemerovo.

When Dr. Jeff Meldrum and a group of scientists entered the cave, there were several large footprints along the muddy floor, but strangely enough, they were only imprints of right feet.

  1. Did they look for a peg shaped print? Maybe it' a pirate yeti. :)

  2. If I were there and observing it myself (I hate taking stuff secondhand), I'd probably make an assumption that this creature's left leg is injured and it's favoring the left, and putting all its weight on the right. When I was starting to walk again after having my Achilles reattached, I left only left prints when I walked because I came down with all my weight on it instead of the right (injured) leg.

  3. This is not a Yeti print. Do these people know what they are looking for??

  4. There is always something that makes things questionable. Has it been like this for 40 years with "bigfoot evidence". It makes a believer start to question the train they have hitched themselves to.

  5. This sounds familiar. Was this the event where he (JM) refused to comment and basically left at that point. I believe he stated later he felt he was being hoaxed.

  6. Yes, it was a publicity stunt for tourism. Nothing more. Hell, at this point I think the entire Bigfoot phenomenon is just one big publicity stunt.

  7. The cast shown on the photo has no relation to that one found in Azass cave, Siberia.
As to the real footprint from that cave you could see on it the dermal ridges, and only because of that it could not been faked. I don't know how to show that photo here, in another case I could do it.

  8. The cast presented here has nothing with Siberia findings. It was brought from North America I guess by John Bindernagel or Jeff Meldrum (I didn't know exactly who has brought) and left as a present to us.
