The Crypto Hunters: Creston Flats Bigfoot breakdown

It's been less than 72 hours since the surfacing of the Creston Flats Bigfoot footage uploaded by Troy D. Hunter. Click here to view original post.

Within a few hours of posting, some comments made about the video were very skeptical. "Sorry this is the patterson film running as an overlay/background," said one comment.

Troy responded to one critic (The Crypto Hunters, Tom) by encouraging him to have a closer look if he's not convinced the creature in the footage is real.

"As the guy who shot this video, I am deeply honoured to have it considered to be the Patterson Film. Its a good thing there is You Tube because I didn't know what the 'Patty film' is until now. Sorry Tom, I don't have the technology or the know how to do what you are suggesting. Feel free to conduct scientific analysis to prove your theory. My original tape is intact," Troy said.

Less than 24 hours later, The Crypto Hunters came up with the requested breakdown video casting dark cloud over the film's authenticity:
TCH stated it was a interlaced/overlayed video and Troy said he did not know how to do stuff like that, but after viewing his Linkedin profile he appears more than capable of doing the video.

Our breakdown was per his request, don't think he will like the results.

PS - yeah i know i misspelled the word distortion ..hey it was early.lol

  1. Hee hee. Yeah, I mean, even panning the camera up at the end was brilliant because knowing that you'd be putting in the Patterson film, you'd have to end it before the ending of that film or it would be way too much of a giveaway. Why a person filming this grass and seeing this thing would pan away at all is shocking. None of it adds up. Man, if you want to make it for your video skills and show people you can hoax, don't put up your resume in LinkedIn until the dramatic reveal that you could do a hoax that snowed people. Amateur.

  2. Another great breakdown by The Crypto Hunters. They are fast! It does sorta look like Patterson footage. Deja vu.

  3. Not that I think this is real but the "box effect" could very well be macroblocking from video compression.

Also, I don't think "overlaying" the PG film on another piece of footage is as simple as some commenter have suggested...not by a long shot. The movement of the original footage would have to be very carefully matched to the movement of the new video...then you would have to superimpose the grass on top in a convincing manner.

  4. In my previous comment I should have said, "not that I think this is NECESSARILY real..."

I'm not saying it's definitely fake either.

  5. Autumnforest, I put up the video I shot, no editing, nothing. My resume, skills, etc. has nothing to do with my footage. I dabble around with multimedia but by no means am I skilled enough to do the seemingly impossible.

The Patterson film has a slightly different camera angle showing more back than mine and the P/G arm swings are very long compared to my footage, there is no match and there is no glitch. Also, my footage shows a slight bobbing of the head as it walks, (as one poster put, it walks with attitude) I don't seem to recall that in the Patterson film.

I can understand why people think its the Patterson film footage based on the creature walking in similar trajectory as in my footage but its simply coincidence and nothing more, nothing less.

My original footage is better quality than what is posted online and it shows some sort of marking on the lower back, which definitely is not on the Patterson film, they are not the same.

I don't know why I panned or why the video ended, maybe my battery lost charge, maybe I was shaky with fear, adrenaline or excitement, maybe I was scanning to see where it was going, or if others were present. I would not waste my time trying to create such a faked video, which would likely take painstaking hours and would not work without a glitch.

I am tired of defending a simple handheld video shot. This is what I saw and I merely recorded it. TCH acts like they are experts in their stated conclusion but their theory does not hold water; there is no glitch, and there is no boxing on the original footage, maybe a bent cat tail but no boxing and if there is on a later version its possible TCH put it there. As Ripley said, "Believe it or not".

I am very happy about this Bigfoot Evidence blog because I now have seen and read some very convincing evidence, that along with what I have seen and personally know. If I was a skeptic before, I am now a believer and my new research on this topic has come up with something very astonishing. I look forward to revealing that astonishing truth in the future giving further evidence to the Bigfoot saga. To be continued.

  6. sorry troy - you said you didn't know how to work with film/video, which is not true. The "cat tail" reasoning is not true as it is not there before or after the few frames. Man i'v worked with video for 20 years now, worked on movies, have friends and family who act and make movies...I do not think this is real footage of a sasquatch that was filmed at the same time of this video. It's a nice piece of work ....but there are several things wrong with the video...No tree, grass movement, size and scale of the bigfoot is off when compared to surrounding trees and bushes, bird sound seems very close to camera but yet the bird seen in the video is too far away to be heard....plus there is several times you can see through the sasquatch...which shows a laying effect has been added or something to that effect, plus why did you not zoom in on the sasquatch?. You will convince some bigfoot reseachers with your video but i'm just not one of them.I'm not trying to be mean to you in any way and i hope you can get more and better videos of a bigfoot, but you started of saying you DID NOT know how to work with film/video which is not true...it's always best to be honest. Good luck with your bigfoot quest.
    Thanks

  7. I have never stated that Tom, what I said was I don't have the technology or know how to do what was suggested (i.e. interlaced video). Yes, I dabble with multimedia and my Youtube account and Linked In account are evidence of that, I have never said I don't know how to work with film/video because that would be entirely false. The mere fact I shot the footage and put it on YouTube proves I do know how to work with film/video, I just don't know how to interlace the two videos as you have suggested. Peace out.

  8. You know...I just spent about 2 more hours with this video....hmmm...some things i like about it...some things i don't...troy seems like an ok guy....in some ways the video looks pretty good but there is still things that are out of sorts with the video...I wish i had even better software...the video is only running at about 12 frams per sec. which is kind of low but not horrible...I've not seen enough for me to change my overall conclusion but...it does make me have more questions and at least question the conclusion. Also i think Troy Hunter said he had the video away in storage but if you knew you filmed a bigfoot why would you store it away? Wonder if i could get a better version of it?......What does everyone else think? I'm i just looking at it too much?
    Thanks
    Tom
