Erickson Project: First ever photograph of Sasquatch sleeping, scientific proof of Bigfoot to come

Frame grab from an Erickson Project video, Sasquatch: The Quest, depicts sasquatch sleeping.

Update: From R.W. Ridley's blog, here's a minor breakdown of the photo. Ridley notes that the original is not black and white:

Sasquatch lying in fetal position with her head ducked down under her arm to shade herself from the sun.

Update #2: A much clearer digital version of this photo was posted online as well.

Earth shattering photographs depicting a sasquatch sleeping have just been released by the Erickson Project. Thanks to Bigfoot Encounters, they photographed a newspaper clipping from the Maple News Ridge newspaper that was recently published.

The photographs are actually frame grabs from the Erickson Project video that’s soon to be released. Considering how blurry these photos are, it probably won’t sway anybody who’s already skeptical about the claims this group has made. It’s no wonder Erickson is waiting until Melba Ketchum’s DNA project results are published in a scientific journal before he releases the documentary.

Remember, these are only frame grabs or stills. Some have speculated that Erickson did not want a clean digital version of the frame grab online, so they were only allowed to put it in the print version. We can all hope that the video Erickson had been privately showing to people close to the project will show more detail of the creature.

  1. If this is the kind of shit they're putting out as their proof Erickson should go ahead and shoot himself and save us the trouble. This crap proves Fisano right.....

    1. Why don't you tie some raw steak around your waist and take a no flashlight stroll in the woods. your the type of dumbass that if given the chance, you would shoot and kill Bigfoot. back home, after my 7 th tour in Iraq, a old retired marine told me a story of seeing bigfoot run in front of his jeep while he was checking his property for whatever was killing his sheep. I believed him, after I saw the prints left in the mud, it had happened the night before. he was a friends uncle, and that friend had called me to come out and keep a watch over his uncle with my .338 lapua mag. rifle. I didn't see Bigfoot that night, but of course, neither have you. stick to pissing your life away by running your mouth on a blog, and I will stick to protecting your sorry ass.

  2. I'm not 100 percent convinced. They say the squatch actually stands in the video.

  3. Well, someone is managing the PR nicely "leaking" out tidbits when people get frustrated. The problem is, at some point they have to actually produce this proof and I believe that a finding such as BF would be such a huge thing that there's no freaking way they could have this much control over what they "allow" to be leaked. I wonder if CNN will fall for this one too?

  4. If Fasano is right. I think he deserves and apology from the naysayers. If he is wrong, he's going to eat some crow.

  5. 3 million = this? I sure hope it was his own money.lol I really hate to say it but it's really looking like a promotional stunt and hoax to me. I guess he's just trying to get his money back.

  7. Lets just hope this is the suckiest photo they have and that they're just saving the good ones for later.

  8. Let me start out by saying that I believe that there may be something to the sasquatch mystery. I line myself up with people like the late Dr. Grover Krantz and Dr. Jeff Meldrum who were/are opened minded enough to not dismiss the entire sasquatch mystery as nothing but folklore. That being said, the coat/fur on this "sasquatch sleeping" looks fake, as if this is some type of hoax. There is a lot of idiocy associated with bigfoot. This kind of photo will not do anything to advance the possibility of the reality of sasquatch. All this "sasquatch sleeping" will do is add more fuel to the skeptics' fire.

  9. This is an "earth shattering photograph?" Oh please. This could be anything. I'll be waiting for the "scientific proof of Bigfoot to come." Because this photo certainly does nothing but look like there's deceit involved in trying to convince anyone that this is an "earth shattering photograph" of a "sasquatch sleeping." I think that people have the right to be skeptical with this photo.

  11. It looks like all these other wackoos like Timbergiant, Jubel2012,the guy with AZCRO and everyone else who try to show you a photo with absolutely nothing in it but a natural setting and draw lines and crap showing u the head, eyes, arm, etc. Just keep the CRAP to your self you jackoffs and quit trying to make every picture look like there's a sasquatch in it.

  14. Enough with the inconclusive crap like this!!! If you've got some "scientific proof of bigfoot," quit beating around the bush with all of this asinine teaser crap. I'd like to believe that this Erickson Group has found something conclusive; however, based on what I've seen so far, it looks like a bunch of typical bigfoot crap, along the lines of those two guys in Georgia who a few years back claimed to have found a bigfoot in the woods and had a press conference about it. SHOW THE PROOF IF YOU'VE GOT IT!!!! The longer you string this along, the more idiotic and deceitful the Erickson Group looks.

  15. "Thanks to Bigfoot Encounters"--for what, exactly? Really, this is such a poorly written and confusing post, I can't even figure out what you're claiming credit for. If you reply, please also explain why you'd want to be associated with a pile of fur in some leaves.

  16. wtf is this crap? You kno its a shitty photo when you gotta create a diagram to show me where the head is lol

  17. slow down, anonymous! nobody is "claiming" anything! they're just drawing big red arrows, labelled "head and "butt". don't be so judgmental!

  18. this is a joke right?

its no wonder no one takes any of this crap seriously.... when you hype it up and we see junk.... its joke.

no one takes you bigfoot people seriously and its your OWN fault.

    show us REAL proof.

show is real video... real pictures of the thing...

no blurry pix... get real this is 2011... we have HD cameras.

  20. I have been following the BF scene for many years, and have always said, that if just one of the many sightings is real, then BF does exist. This may be the read thing or a hoax, time will tell. I am keeping an open mind on this on. Just cut him some slack and lets see where this goes. By the way, i am from Missouri "show me"

  21. I've been following the BF scene off and on for decades, since I was a kid (since the Six Million Dollar Man battled bigfoot). For all of these years, I have stayed open minded. If someone actually has some proof of bigfoot's existence, they should present it to the world ASAP and get the sasqutch protected. I have seen many BF enthusiasts over the years who claim to have great evidence (Slyvanic comes to mind), but it turns out that they all actually had nothing, nothing but large amounts of hooey. I agree with some of the comments above that stalling does nothing but make this group seem less credible (they've been at it for quite some time). This is seeming more and more like bologna. I sincerely hope that I'm wrong. No one would love more than me to finally have some concrete proof that gives creedence to the many folks who were willing to risk ridicule to tell their eyewitness stories (or in the case of some such as Dr. Grover Krantz and Dr. Meldrum, risking their academic reputations). I hope I'm totally 100% wrong on this prediction, but based on what I've read and seen so far, I predict that what this group will produce will still keep bigfoot in the
    "inconclusive" category.

  24. This is a fake for sure. I wonder if it's part of a pattern of researchers trying their best to protect the species from the very scientists many are trying to impress. Why in gods name would you want mainstream America on the trail of big foot. Stop and really be honest with yourself. I am hunting the big guy myself, but will never share any proof with anyone but other researchers with good intentions. Forget the media. Find, share, protect. Use your head man.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Are you kidding me? Find, shoot, share with everyone. Or see, step on the gas, run over, share with everyone. One "big guy" has to be taken out for science, for government protection, and for the vindication of those who have risked personal ridicule and professional reputation talking about their belief in sasquatch and/or encounters with bigfoot.

  26. This looks very similar to the Halloween Costume we saw in Georgia. Again, if someone had the proof that they claim to have, why keep it under wraps? This is just another glory grab. These sort of things do more to discredit research than anything. The entire field of research has slowly turned into a giant opportunity for profit and fame, and Bigfoot has become a Celebrity. Even some of the most famous researchers have turned into profiteers. Let's get back to the basics. Get back to searching for the truth. But most of all, stop giving the attention to these types of distractions.
