Survivorman, Les Stroud was interviewed on KZOZ by Jeff and Jeremy.
Jeremy brought up his favorite subject of Sasquatch which we thought was a ridiculous question, surprisingly, Les brought up an extremely intriguing story that gave us the chills about a possible Sasquatch experience. That's right, Les Stroud believes in Bigfoot!

Today we had Les Stroud from Discovery Channel’s Surviorman on the air to talk about his new book “The Will to Live.” He gave us some incredible insight on his background as a survival expert as well as how he got into the business of making Survivorman. We asked him to share some of his wildest stories which range from the extremely sensational, such as being chased by a jaguar in the Amazon, to the physically taxing, such as fighting off heat stroke in the desert. After some quick lessons on why not to drink your own pee, or anyone else’s for that matter, he got into the topic of other “Survival” hosts. We couldn’t agree more that these people don’t have the chops or the balls to really go for true survival without the constant aid of a camera crew. We even got him to tell us that Bear Grylls better buy him a beer if they ever meet in a bar!

What happened with the second story?
ReplyDeleteFinding Big Foot is such a farce...... this will be a never ending hunt, each episode will always produce anticipation because they will never find a "Big Foot". This show is ridiculous, to think these people call themselves the so called "experts" of finding the Sasquatch. Please.... I think I'm going to have a long talk with my pal the Easter Bunny.

ReplyDeletei was in the marines....to catch someone who is stealth you in turn must become stealth....your group make so much noise its unbelievable...even the lowest of light the slightest of sound is magnified a hundred times in the darkness of a forest...I know your making a TV show and all....but if i was a squatch....i would see you guys coming a mile away....thats why you will never come close...

So true. I retired after 20 years. we know they are there, seen satellite shots of them. went to training class in Cold Lake CA by local tribe on what to do if you encounter one or more. TV is way to much into drama. I could take a small team of military guys and cross the US and not be seen by people. it would not be hard.
DeleteI having been saying the same thing for decades. To see these animals you must become these animals. One or two people at the most should go into the woods looking for evidence. Stealth is a great word, YES you must become stealth. If that involves only moving 100 yards in a day, then so be it. A big camera crew will never "sneak up" on a bigfoot.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree, they need to be quiet. I do enjoy the show because I love hearing the locals' stories. I don't really think they are going to find "proof" with this program but it's entertaining. That's all TV is anyway!
ReplyDeleteNo shit I completely agree. They either need to do away with the show, or completely change their tactics and format. They must emphasize on stealth and stay out there longer. If it goes on another season with no good results again, it's likely the bfro will be taken even less seriously in the future, unless someone else makes the discovery before their fat asses
ReplyDeleteI have contacted most of the so called "research" groups to go with me to a place the native americans and locals tell me to stay out of. Not one person wants to go. This is at 6000ft in the Cascade mountains of Washington state. I am leaving early Oct 1. I am going on the request of people that have been chased out of this area or had some "serious" encounters with something. I am former military (special forces) and a former state police investigator. I plan to find out what this is they are seeing?? The only way to find out if this "thing" exists is by pure stealth.
ReplyDeleteWhere in the Cascades are you going? I am curious because I live in Washington state and would love to know of this place. I would love to see a bigfoot. I do believe they could exist in our mountains because they sre so thick with forests and some tough terrain.

I have a very open mind and I believe that there is definitely something out there that all of of these people have seen and been seeing for ages. And I agree that the only way to find it is by pure stealth. Obviously whatever it is is pretty intelligent and in a way I hope no one ever finds it because it would end the mystery and the search and isnt't that what its all about, the search, the excitement and anticipation of the unknown and what you might find? I agree with the comment of stealth we are not going to catch these creatures while filming a show> I think a you blanket a hot spot with game cams leave them in place for some time before they are checked to capture bigfoot. I respect the BFRO cause they give us a forum and a chance for people to share stories on this controversal topic. I would rather them find bigfoot rather than some gun happy group as they seem to respect this creature as if it were a human.

ReplyDeleteIS NOBODY WONDERING WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF/WHEN YOU ACTUALLY FIND ONE?? I mean, it will be researched in the worse vivisection labs this place has to offer! Think lab monkeys, but much MUCH WORSE! If they are real, I hope to GOD nobody finds one, because I have seen the horrors of animal testing, and the Bigfoot would live the rest of his life in excruciating misery:(

DeleteIf I were to ever see one I would be so enthralled and excited but I would never try to catch one because I agree that scientists would just want to dissect it and do what ever tests on it all the while keeping it locked in a cage if they even let it stay alive that is.

ReplyDeleteThis show drives me nuts. They claim to come within yards of a Bigfoot virtually every show. But then they leave the site without going back. If one really was "just beyond thermal view", then all they'd need to do is put up a bunch of cameras in ANY area that they claim has "squatches"and leave them there for a month. But they'll never do that because they're not really interested in finding one, just keeping the show going.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't apes, dammit. The Bigfoots, I mean. Just like Soylent Green, Sasquatch is human! {:-D But seriously, the TV show will never find Bigfoot because the approach is way off. They may catch some green night vision stuff - Sasquatch Green - but the final evidence will need to be DNA. Here's where Dr. Ketchum can hopefully help us soon. Forget this nocturnal thing, there's just as much activity during days.
ReplyDeletei dont beleave the stealth part my self i saw a adult big foot 20-30 feet away from me with a full moon 2 feet of fresh snow well riding a snomobile i got a good 10-20 second dead stair with a big foot wondering if it was going to come after me or just curious its self of what it saw it was looking at me like i was looking at it i wouldn't want to see one dead but some very good pictures or legit vidio that can prove to every one with out harming it but even if some one did kill one it would be dead testing it as far as i see them i would think they would be missing link human but it would be very cool to no where they stand and how it came about

DeleteThese guys can't be serious. Really? Really? The episode I saw they were yelling and carrying torches, like a scene out of Frankenstein. Even the big homemade green monster was afraid of that. They probably scared off all the timid creatures in the woodland forest for miles. Ever see Bambi? It would be easier to believe in a talking skunk, than a "SQUATCH"..lol, because at least I know skunks are real...and that at least is a start. Show me a skunk that can talk and I may start to believe. But, until then, Animal Planet, please drop the Blair Witch format and try to do something for real animals, like the Smallfoot population in Area 51...just kidding.
ReplyDeletei to think that stealth has to used. walking through the brush at night with a camera crew, wont get it done. i saw my first one 2 yrs ago while deer hunting.this one was in full daylight paralleling me across a picked soybean feild. i was quiet but walking in the wide open. 3 days later i got a buck. 4 days later i went again was very quiet, to where i took my deer and sat down., 20 minutes later, its still a hour before sunrise. one walked up behind me, close enough to hear it breathing, i stood , crossbow at low ready position,backed up 3 steps, and said loudly what the f---. i'm gonna shoot. i wasnt really going to, but if it was a person they would be yellin hang on a minute. this one just stood there a minute or two and walked slowly away. about 30 yards it screamed for lack of a better word, and i about shit. sat back down and waited for daylight then left. this bf was within 20 ft and the wind directly in its face, so it knew what i was then, but before that i think it thought i was a deer. alot of sightings around here in sw ohio. recent and older. 1 freind has seen them 3 times and is scared to death of them.

EVERY PERSON IN NORTH AMERICA WILL OUT IN THE WOODS WITH RIFLES OR TRAPS TO GET THEIR OWN! who wouldnt want a pet squatch? or what zoo wouldnt want one to get more money?what trophy hunter wouldnt want its head and pelt for his cabin? IF EVERYONE AND THIER BROTHER ACTUALLY WENT OUT TO FIND ONE,(4 hundred million people in N America! plus tourists) they WOULD be found and go extinct!
