By now I've gotten used to the idea that I'm a member of a species who can no longer even see what is in nature much less survive out there. We have become hive creatures who are barely aware of our surroundings.
Modern humans have been undergoing non-Darwinian evolution for a long time. It is not the strongest who survive but the most social and congenial who prosper and produce offspring.
Meanwhile the big guys have been subject to classical Darwinian evolution where the strong survive and the fittest individuals procreate.
The divergence could not be more clear.
As individuals we are the weaker species, unfit to even survive without grocery stores and chiropractors and hybrid automobiles. We are the monsters.
