  1. Sykes stated zanas dna was 100% modern human (same as us) but sub saharan origin. Perhaps he is looking to refine that further but certainly no bigfoots in that line of enquiry. All his other samples (the best the bigfoot community had to offer from researchers who swear the sample is from a bigfoot) came back as known animals. He has since stated that he is not a "bigfooter" and has tried to distance himself from the subject. As a good scientist he did not ignore the evidence, he actually took his time and money to investigate and test the evidence but ultimately found no sign of such a creature existing.

    3. So we really needed Sykes to tell us Smeja was lying ? Consider the sources of who he collected evidence from.

    4. I remember seeing on TV Dr. Sykes that the DNA sample that Smeja submitted as from an infant Bigfoot was bear. I thought Smeja was going to cry.

    5. "Mark Evans and Justin Smeja during BBC Documentary. Another misleading matter in this whole thing is just about that. Where the test samples came from. I've read various articles that claim a little less than half of the samples came directly from bigfoot sightings. Really? How so? Because someone reported a sighting in a general area, and the hairs were found in that same general area? Did someone pluck the hair directly from a bigfoot creature, or see a clump fall out as it ran away? I'm fairly certain you could find all kinds of hairs in my front yard, that doesn't mean they came from the rabbit I saw out there. This is exactly what happened during the documentary about the Sykes study where Justin Smeja was interviewed about his claim to have shot and killed at least one bigfoot. It was well known within the community that Justin submitted a tissue sample to Sykes that was believed to be that of a bear. This was known information before hand. Yet when the documentary was released, it was edited to make it sound like Smeja claimed to have acquired the tissue sample directly from the bigfoot itself. This was not only misleading, it was an outright lie. Regardless of how you feel about Smeja, or what your opinion is on his claim, he was in fact misrepresented and lied about during this documentary. That is a fact."

    6. ...If it was thought to come from a bear, why did he submit it? ..Justin is apparently a likable guy and Shaun, Ro and some others with a megaphone propped him up..The veterans(Meldrum, Moneymaker and Coleman) sniffed around for 10 seconds, smelled a rat and bailed..IMO they were right..I dont believe it..In the end its just another story so no matter what anyone believes the ball is not being forwarded one inch..

    7. One can only assume that he submitted the "Bigfoot steak" out of chance. He was after a while persuaded to go back to the alleged kill site many weeks later when there was apparently several feet of snow on the ground, and the tracker dog he had was trained for bear.

I can understand people being dubious of his claims, but it's the affiliation he has with some very trustworthy researchers that swings it for me.

    8. ...Yeah, I think Cutino trusts him and he seems like an honest sort..Still, he got a big boost from his drinking buddies including the owner of this blog..It was like they were his political handlers promoting him..The promotion actually changed this blog. Shaun became a part of the team taser faction so the blog became less of a neutral hub...It seems now its back to the way it was; The drudge report of the bigfoot world..lol..

    9. Personally, I have a feeling, that Dr Sykes was "advised" to have his samples come back as 'known' species. That just my opinion - which was partially influenced by what Sykes did to a low budget, simple but honest, researcher named Dan Shirley http://www.bigfootresearchnews.com/2016/01/dan-shirley-talks-about-bryan-sykes.html

  2. Even a caged animal once shocked by its electified fence will learn its lesson and not try again.

Joe on the other hand just keeps coming back again and again. Each new study, each new project everytime coming back with absolutely nothing, yet there he is first inline for the next "bigfoot coming soon" circus event.

    2. Yet Joe can reference every sort of evidence required to warrant a consorted effort from mainstream science to look for proof. Maybe that's why you're so obsessed? Satisfaction was never a familiarity to the chronic butthurt.

    3. I think that the trolls obsession comes from a lack of basic intellect and so therefore Joes deep intellect turns him on

    4. Who is the Joe you refer to, Iktomi?

      Delete
    5. Iktomi is refering to his previous persona Joe Fltzgerald. Hes the guy that made a bet that sykes would be presenting a verified bigfoot on his show "bigfoot files". He didnt just make a bet, he rambling on and on for months saying skeptics are finally gonna be shut up by sykes. He lost the bet of course and has been attacked ever since because he is not man enough to admit he lost the bet.

    7. Donald... I heard SOOOO much about this Joe chap, I went back on previous comments sections and found out just why you're so bum sore.

8:15... The way it actually happened, was that you and your hero Daneil Campbell were so closure desperate, that you claimed that Sykes was done and dusted with the topic after the airing of Bigfoot Files, and that he was to find nothing positive. A subsequent published study, two published books on the topic and interview upon interview stating clear as day that he's only now coming to the end of studying Zana (due to be published), means Danny isn't around anymore and you're left all alone like the angry, pizza stained, chubby little nerd that your lack of self esteem paints you as.

    8. ..9:21..When Iktomi first came around he signed his posts Joe Fitzgerald , Peace..That is who they are talking about..He only denies it to annoy his detractors; he really isnt hiding or lying..You are New Joe and he is Peace Joe..And I guess there is also Gay, Horny Joe..lol..

  3. According to merchant bigfoot is not a flesh and blood creature in the conventional sense so certainly not a modern human like joe is invested in. They dont leave dna according to merchant and hes actually out in the field. Think you need to catch up on whats actually going on rather than desperately hanging on to sykes and other such nonsense.

    1. Referencing Merchant doesn't help your cause. An ex-sceptic who is a biologist that is, as you put it "in the field"... I think you need better arguments and need to stop focussing on what I think Sasquatch are, you come across so personal and oblivious to your real obstacles. Whether they're modern human or interdimensional alien chin-waggers, there is reliable, scientific, PHYSICAL evidence for what people have been reporting for hundreds of years. Everything else is very interesting but not measurable by scientific means after that fact.

"If Bigfoot are close relatives or actual modern humans, would they sound apelike?"

  5. I don't pay any attention to the DNA efforts as they have become so muddled that nothing can bring clarity to it. The 50,000 foot view is that Sykes really botched the whole thing.

    1. ..I was never a big fan, either..No one ever named an animal on dna alone..However, it is nice that university professors like Sykes and Disotell are involved so maybe more will take an interest in cryptozoology..Also, dna could serve as strong enough evidence short of proof to get other scientists involved..

  6. I was once charged by a man eating pig/dog monster over 11 feet tall at the garden beside our public library!
It never really revealed itself but hid behind thick bushes mumbling, growling and scratching around. I took a blurry photo of its left hind foot and found prints later on that matched Doc Martens but,I think that is really a cover.
These things are real you people.
Stop doubting all these crypto monsters before it is too late!!
