Suspected Bigfoot Trackway Discovered In Connecticut

From the youtube channel of Mike Trainor:

Possible Sasquatch/Bigfoot trackway found February 2, 2016 on an old railroad bed in northeast Connecticut (approximately one mile from a late 1990s encounter).

Prints were in the telltale straight line (in-line/tightrope step), measured between 12 and 13 inches, with a step length exceeding 56 inches and stride length of over 9 feet (112+ inches).

This area has a history of Bigfoot activity, further suggesting these tracks were made by a large unidentified bipedal primate. I do not believe these were part of a hoax based on conditions and details. Prints were likely left 24-48 hours prior to discovery based on warm weather and extent of snow melt.

  2. For the love of me I just can't understand why SOMEONE - just once - doesn't follow these tracks? The conditions are right (snow on the ground for easy tracking) and the terrain is favorable. Why are such suspected tracks never followed to their conclusion? If man-made they have to stop somewhere and that would at least show it wasn't a Bigfoot. If this guy is truly interested in solving a mystery I would think he would put forth more effort than just a few pictures on YouTube.

    1. because that would require effort and common sense both which are lacking in the bf community

    3. Because these are not prints - they are an unfortunate pattern of melting that someone mistook for 'possible tracks'.

    4. I think they are tracks - human tracks distorted by the melting. In fact if they did follow the tracks I would suspect they would lead to a parking lot or someone's nearby home. Instead he breathlessly announces them as Bigfoot tracks. One simply has to use a little effort and follow them to discover if that is true.

    5. That's the reason it needs to be investigated to see if there faked, there human and lead to a back yard or parking lot or they are real,

    6. People have followed trackways. There's a really interesting snow trackway video on the Paranormal Breakdown YouTube channel that keeps going and going. They ultimately aren't able to follow it further. The famous Grays Harbor tracks were found in multiple locations, and followed to their conclusions. Whatever made them had already left the areas.

    7. Would you happen to have links to that video you refer to as I don't seem to be able to find it? Was the Greys Harbor tracks made in snow? I'm puzzled as to what you mean by "followed to their conclusion". Tracks have to eventually end somewhere with something at the end so that is what I am asking about. Has there been anytime someone has followed tracks in the snow until they have reached the subject making them?

    8. Hey there, if you Google Bigfoot snow track video, I believe it's the first video at the top. I'm sorry I can't copy paste the link directly with this phone, and I apologize if I sent you on a wild goose chase, Phil Poling narrates the video, so I assumed it would be on his channel....my bad. As far as the Grays Harbor tracks, the were documented over a period of time by Sherrif's deputy Dennis Heryford. They were not in snow to my knowledge. What is really interesting to me, is the apparent plasticity of the toes...they expand and contract differently from print to print. Doesn't automatically make them real, but it is definitely a vote in favor of a living organism. If you search for Dennis Heryford Bigfoot on Google, there should be ample links to explore. Please note that I am not trying to persuade you one way or the other, I am only suggesting these as a response to your query. Have a good evening

    10. Thanks for the response and I understand what you are saying. I was once an absolute believer but have now pretty much given up hope it exists although the subject still interests me. This site interests me because of the rapid fire Bigfoot related news but I do appreciate some of the humor (well, at least the witty stuff) as well. I find some of the Bigfoot community personalities interesting also. But I'm not here to throw shade at anyone.

It always vexes me why no one simply doesn't follow fresh tracks in the snow if they suspect it of being made by a Bigfoot. It just seems like a simple plan and only requires a little persistence and endurance. I'm no tracker but I have followed animal tracks in the snow and it was very easy to follow them and trace the animal to it's lair or resting place.

      But what do I know?

    11. We are in the same boat. You describe my experience more or less exactly. I remain interested enough to at least dip into the subject from time to time. I guess on the subject of tracks, they would need to be pretty fresh, and while I'm not declaring myself a believer, I have no problem imagining something that large and adapted or walking getting far quickly. The snow tracks I mentioned are obviously somewhat old, but they were able to account for three miles worth. Did a Bigfoot make them? I can't say that, only that it is interesting and puzzling. If there is anything to the phenomenon, I tend to think they are really quite rare, nowhere near as common as the profusion of presumptive evidence suggests. Thanks for the chat!

    12. I found these tracks. They definitely were prints, assumed to be from a bigfoot. Granted there is no detail in the prints themselves, they very obviously make up a trackway. The step length is outside normal human walking range (even most running range), but I accept that someone might run on this trail (although maybe not in winter).

We followed them as far as possible but there was little to no snow in most of the area and the tracks were lost. They were found nearby a historically active area (ignore this if you're a cynical skeptic).

The details are in the video, many will simply ignore them though because it would rattle their fragile little world. I'm just presenting what was found. PM my for info if interested.

    2. We do are best to research and study all the evidence with a open mind ,unfortunately we find a lot of hoaxers but on the flip side we do find credible evidence once in awhile, but with that Joe thank you for your support!

  4. I'm guessing the Thompson area. There are train tracks. There have been sightings there. One back in the 90s as they mention.
Google the train track map in Ct.
If you follow the tracks in Ct, and if there is a BF, the sightings in MA, CT, and RI, all are accessible by these railroads.
Seems an obvious travel way for them. They can easily veer off into heavily wooded surroundings at almost any point.
There have been sightings in Litchfield as well. 3 or 4 train tracks begin in the Litchfield area.
There was a sighting near the train tracks in New Haven.
Follow the train tracks, look up the history of sightings in this tri-state area on the various bigfoot sights.
There is a pattern connecting the sightings to the railways.
Either there's a bigfoot, or very well coordinated hoaxers and loons out there.

    1. Also I'll add the recent January sighting in Charlton Mass.
      Decades of sightings, tracks etc.....
All connected via this artery of railways and woods.
I have an armchair interest so far, based on a highly unusual personal experience I had in Eastern Ct., about 3 years ago.
It was something. What? I don't know.
But not something I'll ever forget.
      Good luck Ron.
