Maine Man Claims To Have Witnessed Giant Beaver
Here's one you don't hear every day. A man from Maine claims to have seen a gigantic beaver. His estimations of size were about 14 feet long and weighing over 350 pounds. The man didn't want to give away the exact location, for fear someone would try to harm the giant rodent.
The anonymous eyewitness says he doesn’t want to give too much information about the area of the alleged sighting in order to protect this “rare animal” from “unwanted” human activity.
“It was about 30 years ago,” he told Crypto Crew researcher Thomas Marcum. “It was a very general geographic area,” he added.
The man believes the rodent was about 14 feet long with an estimated weight of 350 pounds.
It is believed that giant beavers, also known as Castoroides, went extinct about 10,000 years ago.

DeleteLOL! Too easy, however, beavers can get very big since they never stop growing it was not uncommon for 250 lb beavers to be caught in the pioneer days.
ReplyDeleteBeavers are all fine and dandy!
DeleteBut what about giant 400lb CLAMS??
I know where on the saginaw River in Michigan there are a pair of large beavers living. They have taken up residence in a hole in a cement seawall. I was fishing too close and the next thing I knew he was not 25ft away slapping his tail on the water to scare me away. His head was as big as the biggest Rottweiler out there and the tail was as big as a canoe paddle. He didn't leave until I left. His partner was as big. Now this was only a few years ago so I imagine they are still around

DeleteAbout 1/2 mile south of the I-75 Bridge on the east side near the south end of the sea wall. Thats the best directions I can give. Not to knowledgable with that area. There were several seawalls but this one is very old and big and beat up
