Huffington Post Reporter Believes Florida Fisherman's Bigfoot Story
The Florida Skunk Ape photo submitted by John Rodriguez to the Huffington Post has been met with skepticism and all sorts of theories about the authenticity of the photo. Rodriguez, a 66-year-old Florida man, claims he stumbled upon the creature while out fishing. In an interview with a local Fox news affiliate, Huff Post reporter Lee Speigel claims he believes the man's story, and thinks he is telling the truth.
"I looked at this picture and I was like ummm," said Lee Speigel.
Lee Speigel writes stories on UFO's, Aliens and even Bigfoot for the Huffington Post.
He said it is a possibility.
"From the very beginning he has not given the impression that he's looking for any kind of publicity," he said.
A local fisherman, John Rodriguez, e-mailed Speigel a few days after Christmas with a few pictures and his story.
"I don't think at this point, that the guy is lying," he said.
The fisherman claims while out on the Hillsborough River, he spotted the creature in the water and was able to snap off a few shots.
