    Not only that, the Bigfoots spent years around the house, pounding on the house, going in the car? Leaving fingerprints that the fingerprint expert calls
    fingerprints.

    Not one hair. Not one. Any searching in the nearby woods for scat? They
    are eating the food from this woman, surely it digests and comes out somewhere?

    No, fallen down dead trees do not make Bigfoot real. That is part of the "folklore" of Bigfoot. Not a scientific fact.

    This lady and her special needs child live alone in the woods?
    Come on now. I am making assumptions now. Sorry.

    If I KNEW that Bigfoot exists, and it was around this woman's house for YEARS, I would round up some other Knowers and get to work finding actual
    PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.

    I would look over every square inch of that property.

    The knowers want to be known as scientists, and are amazed no one takes
    them at their word. Real scientists say "Sorry, this doesn't cut it."
    The knowers then figure out another reason that scientists won't take their evidence.....uh, the gubmint took it and uh.....conspiracy.

    If anyone really believes in Bigfoot, why haven't they found anything at these
    "habituation" sites. I mean evidence. Hair, skin, poop.
    Or, you know what? How about a real animal? How about one of those?
    Yep, that would be a good one.

    I think they are role-playing at being fringe scientists who "actually go out there in the woods and look for the animal".
    But, it turns into worse when the bad behavior starts.
    Lying, just out right lying. Hundreds of reports become thousands of reports.
    Making up out of whole cloth how they sleep, what they eat, how they interact socially.
    Please just stop the lying.

    Really, taking your kids out to the woods, where there are REAL wonders of nature,
    and teach them how to look for an animal that does not exist.
    Since there is no evidence, and never will be, I really wish the believers would
    leave the kids out of it.

    The picture the little girl drew of the "skunk daddy" reminded me of the guy (a true believer?)
    who would come here with gifs and draw lines all over them (showing movement of a joint?).

    DNA evidence of bigfoot has been taken before by other researchers, Del Rio said, but the results always come back as "unknown ape."

    This annoys me greatly. This is one particular bigfoot meme that irritates me the most. There are exactly zero DNA tests with published results of "unknown ape". Yet footers toss this one around every chance they get. And then news sources just repeat verbatim as if it's true.

      If they had DNA, they would be able to place on the Phylogenetic tree precisely. It would not be an unknown ape, it would be an ape that is X number of mutations from the Chimpanzee, and we are Y number of mutations from the unknown sample.

      They would be able to tell last common ancestors with whatever Ape it was related to last.

      There can be no 'Unknown' ape DNA anymore.

This story was circulating the internet way back in 2004, or maybe as far back as 1999. Back when everybody was on 56k dial-up modems and a "Facebook" was just a regular book with directory listing of names and headshots. BREAKING: Finding Bigfoot Production Company Seeks Filming Permit In Virginia

Rumors abound on whether or not Finding Bigfoot will continue, but hopeful news is on the horizon. Snake Oil Productions, the production company responsible for Finding Bigfoot, is seeking a permit for filming in the Monterey, Virginia area. Monterey lies between the Monongahela and George Washington National Forests. Definitely a good place to look for bigfoot. We can only speculate if this means Finding Bigfoot has been signed on for additional seasons, or if perhaps a new bigfoot show is in the works. We'll keep you updated on any further announcements for sure.
