Bobcat Goldthwait's Bigfoot Horror Willow Creek Set to Stomp Into Theaters Soon
Bobcat Goldthwait's bigfoot horror movie Willow Creek is finally coming to theaters. According to our good friends at dreadcentral.com, the movie is set to release in NYC on June 6th at the IFC Center with theatrical releases to follow. We can't wait!
"We told you that the sliver of sasquatchploitation from Bobcat Goldthwait known as Willow Creek (review) has scored itself some domestic distribution via Dark Sky Films, and now we have some release details for ya!
MPI will release the flick in NYC on June 6th at the IFC CENTER with a theatrical rollout to follow.
Described by Jimmy Kimmel as “Scary and the Hendersons” and by writer-director Bobcat Goldthwait himself as “The Blair-Squatch Project,” found footage movie Willow Creek is a radical departure in Goldthwait’s career after directing a string of black comedies (World’s Greatest Dad, God Bless America)."

Bob Gimlin.
ReplyDeleteThe...THEE...most important person living today with regard to Bigfoot.
This is the guy. THEE guy boyz and girlz. who was "there".
"there"...
Patterson went to his grave saying that was real footage.
Gimlin says it's real footage...and one would presume at this
late stage "to his grave" real footage. In fact, he says...the footage was "unimpressive".
In other words, my illiterate, tongue tied and computer bound friends........it blew.....him.....away....
What he SAW. In front of....his very own EYES.

There was a time in my life when Bigfoot meant the world to me. Everything was Bigfoot morning, noon and night...
ReplyDelete...But with the help of my friends here at BFE I can proudly say that without a doubt, Bigfoot is no longer a part of my life.
I just don't do it anymore ! Even when I'm out in the woods, all by myself....I do not think about Bigfoot.
DeleteCept maybe when I've had a few and we get to partying. Sometimes his name might come up.

I don't like the idea of perpetuating the notion that Bigfoot are dangerous, terrifying, predatory killers. There is no evidence that they are predatory towards humans. They may watch, follow, check out, or even approach in way to scare off humans, but that is only displaying territory possession.
ReplyDeleteThe same smear campaign happened to bears. There is a great display at the North American Bear Center in Ely MN that shows hundreds of drawing/depictions of bears in hundreds of hunting/outdoor magazines where you see a snarling, teeth bearing, attacking beast. For decades this image was promoted to make people fearful of bears. We now know that bears rarely attack and run the opposite direction once they get a whiff of you.
So I notice with the popularity of Bigfoot lately, the increase of images showing a menacing creature. Even "Finding Bigfoot" has their CGI animated bigfoot snarling and growling.
Fear sells. Sad how predictable we humans are.
