Tonight was the first webcast of Bigfoot North Radio with hosts Todd Standing and Dr. Jeff Meldrum. This team-up has been met with speculation and criticism. So how was the show? In case you accidentally missed it, or are curious as to what it was all about, check out this review which includes some new information about one of the team members.

With myself being skeptical of Todd Standing and his work, I was interested in finding out more about why Jeff Meldrum has aligned himself with this project, and what the project was really about. Regardless of my own personal opinions of Standing, I will do my best to give a fair review of the show."

ReplyDeleteI still don't understand why Dr. Jeff Meldrum would affiliate himself with Todd Standing....Not to mention Standing"s unwillingness to come clean about what he has actually experienced have the B.S. detector humming. I think these beings exist but three is a serious credibility gap here with Standing. Meldrum, one of the few in the scientific community with the courage to openly investigate this phenomena is really rolling the dice with his reputation by the company he is choosing to keep. I hope it works out and doesn't blow up in his face.

ReplyDeleteAs a BF researcher, Its hard to immediately release all info pertaining to your site/habituation. For obvious reasons, we are "greedy" and Protective of our established relationships with BF. We don't want hundreds of people stomping through properties and destroying all the hard work. In the BF world, successes come small and ambiguous. If those videos that Standing has made are real, then perhaps I would be a defensive as well, and protect what I've achieved. But if they are fake, then he's got people sitting on the fence and that will continue to ruin his reputation.
ReplyDeleteGiven that Standing has taken some initiative and studied with the first nations people, and educating himself with the way nature works, perhaps he isn't a hoaxer. I don't see a hoaxer taking all that time and dedication to learn from an Elder tribesperson.
I don't see Matt Johnson, Alex Munoz, or Tim Fatsano doing ANY kind of remedial spiritual work with Shamans or the slightest hint of self-evaluation, or making their own PEACE with the forest.
I think it's possible that we can still utilize science with the Sasquatch, however the understanding will not fully encompass all the caveats the make the Sasquatch so sensational. There will always be some kind of mystery involved to their abilities, there will always be an unknown. But the little we do know about them, we truly Care to show the world, and have people follow similar trackways... so that they too can have an equally impressive and mind blowing experience with the Sas.

ReplyDeleteStanding has shown himself to be a self centered, spolied moron. He constantly fidgets loudly while Meldrum and the guests talk. Standing noisily sucks on a slurpee, rattles ice in a glass, or sniffs and snorts. He's a fraud and a total boor.
