Sasquatch Sighting In Northern British Columbia Canada?
We're not sure if this is even a Sasquatch, but the story is very compelling. The size of the figure looks rather small to be a Bigfoot, and the people video taping seem a little too mellow. No one sounded shocked or terrified by the sighting. The only thing that makes this interesting is the fact that someone mentioned "sasquatch" in a sentence and the story behind it is quite interesting:

Its a really good doc and he answers some of the questions most ask, but there were a few who stumped him. DeleteThe history channel over here has been running a show called the Curse of Oak Island, just off the coast of Nova Scotia. Two brothers from my home state of Michigan bought the rights to the island which was first excavated in 1795 and from time to time up until about the mid 60's. Prominent folks like Franklin Roosevelt and John Wayne have funded excavations to 90 feet, but the shaft is boobytrapped to flood from the ocean beyond this depth. Theories about what is buried are from pirate treasure ( pirates did not bury their treasure they always split it in a democratic way, and certainly not to past 90 feet in depth), to Spanish gold ships of the 1500's which I doubt, to the one I like the best which would be one just up the road from you in Scotland. After the Knights Templars were disbanded and persecuted in 1307 14 of their ships supposedly left from France and took refuge in Scotland and came under the control of Henry Sinclair. Theory has it and their is evidence that Henry Sinclair may have moved the treasure to North America. They are the only organization that had the means to construct the elaborate mine shaft and possible underground tunnels with booby trapped seawater shafts from the ocean that I can think of. Last Sunday coconut fibers were found a few feet down that were confirmed by Acadia University. Then a scientist in Michigan dated with 95 percent certainty that the age of the fibers is between 1260 to 1400 AD, putting them in the time frame before the documented European explorers and probably after the Viking adventures, but falling in the time frame of the mysterious Henry Sinclair/ Knight Templar voyage theories. Do you know anything about Sinclair or the Templars from the country to your North?

As for the Islam recordings; and like the write up suggests; what does this mean for Sasquatch Ontario? Interesting that Ron Morehead should comment in a more positive light to Nelson too. Remember that we have a couple of types of Sasquatch; two notably being the ape like type (that are still human) and the more native type that have limbs in proportion. Could the Sierra Sounds; baring in mind the 'Samurai Speech' (that sounded Native American at times) be of the latter type and Saquatch Ontario and now Islam's recordings be that of the former?
I very, very much respect Scott Nelson's opinion however and don't think for one second he has anything wrong regarding this recording, this is just an theory.
It will be very, very interesting to see if more recordings come out of Kazakhstan and I for one will be one who makes an effort to look out for them.

I have no doubt many in Nova Scotia saw it this way, and during your husbands time nothing new was coming from Oak Island as no one could breach the shaft flooding. Facts are in 1795 some boys found a depression in Oak island a few hundred feet from Smiths Cove. This being at the end of the pirate days they hoped it was buried pirate treasure. They dug and at a depth of 10 feet found an Oak tree platform blocking the way. Oaks are not indeginous to Oak Island. They cut these away and dug another 10 feet to find another oak tree platform and then gave up. I think in the 1860s a group further excavated to a depth of 90 feet finding these oak tree platforms every 10 feet. At the 90 foot level sea water flooded in from an angled shaft to Smiths Cove and they could go no further. However they did find lengths of gold chain and other artifacts and at the 40 foot platform and inscribed stone with encripted geometric figures that has since disappeared.
In the 1960's Dan Blankenship with funding tried to circumvent the flooding by digging an 8 foot diameter shaft called 10X about 50 feet away. He came upon the same oak tree platforms every 10 feet and again at 90 feet this shaft flooded. Out of money and almost losing his life, 6 people have died over the years during excavation, he discontinued. He did drop a recording camera down in the water and his video was on the show showing some strange but inconclusive objects.
Now the Lagina Brothers of Michigan with the funding and skills of Rick Lagina who became wealthy with a gas and oil business and bought the island are using techniques from the oil and gas business to try and solve this mystery and it is making for an absolutely fabulous series on the history channel.
One thing is certain. Some group before 1795 went to a whole lot of effort to create an engineering marvel for some purpose that has yet to be explained and the elaborate burial of something would seem a likely explanation. The dating of the coconut fiber which was said to be used to filter sediment of the flooding shafts puts this engineering in a very curious and mysterious time frame.

Yeah JOE it is a shame. I am sure you have some shows that we do not get, but if they are good they eventually make it here. I remember back in the 80's absolutely roaring with laughter to the Benny Hill Show, and more recently top gear. You know what, when you come here you just may not want to go back home. It's been suggested that most of the tunnel was constructed to mislead, at a certain depth the constructors would know to veer sideways before setting off the booby trap, which is an engineering marvel, with a large portion of the coast being artificially reconstructed with rock and seaweed to prevent these tunnels being blocked by silt. I live accross the bay from the island and have been fascinated with this mystery my whole life, unfortunately from what I understand the island is now owned by some very rich and powerful people, and they don't let anyone visit, so it's unlikely the general public will ever get to hear the truth about what is hidden down there

Think its likely they were retrieving whatever they hid down there or they wouldn't have left such an obvious sign after going to such great effort to hide it

ReplyDeleteUnusual activity spotted at what locals call Sasquatch Castle south west of Coalmont BC on a road behind an open pit coal mine. Area has an outcropping of lava rock. Strange whistling sounds heard. Horrible odor of garlic and fish that day. Could this be a squatch?
