I have spoken with Justin several times and became good friends with him. Personally I believe him. I have had him tell me the story several times and he never waivers. Sykes 'theory' and the references within the Nature article are interesting. As I said previously they don't prove Bf or anything like it.
However, we are beginning to see mainstream science accept that 'new strands' of archaic humanity existed in a fairly recent past.
Do one of these 'strands' lead us to BF? Only time will tell...

The guy's a hack who like Dan's said was famously fired in 1984 from Return of the Living Dead for being shit and making a lousy costume for a simple headless man gaff. That's right, fired in the middle of a production which is a Hollywood no no unless it's absolutely necessary which in Munns case it was. If you look up William Munns on IMDB you'll see that as his last movie credit yet he'll claim to be an expert in SFX when he hasn't worked in the field since the mid 80s and was shit to begin with. I once had an arguement with Joe about it and all he did was keep posting his CV over and over as if this was proof of anything. When I kept asking if he really was an expert where's his Oscar or Bafta or hell even a Golden Globe as these are all proof of excellence in make up effects he just kept cut and pasting.... The problem with Munns isn't he took on the sceptics it's he's calling himself an expert and like many people in Footery he's a hack and full of himself to boot. He's just telling footers what they want to hear like Ketchum did and using them for a paycheck.

I personally don't find Bill 'full of himself' however I can see that trying to argue with a guy who has indeed spent countless hours on the PGF would be a daunting prospect.

So Munns can be an expert in SFX without working in that field for 30 years? So you'll have also heard all the rumours bout the late John Chambers and the Patty suit too? The reason I brought up Oscars is because Oscar winning make up artists have been on record as saying it's a hoax including Rick Baker who studied the PGF film when making Harry from Harry and the Hendersons. It was originally Rick Baker that was supposed to have started the Chambers story and later changed his mind or didn't want to dicuss it on the record. Anyways, still how can someone fired for making a bad costume on his most high profile job claim to be a costume expert?

ReplyDeleteI don't for one second believe, after looking at Zana's descriptions that she was a disabled person. I don't for one second believe that Kwit's skull proportions are the result of Zana being abandoned as a feral child and having hypertricosis. If it was possible for Kwit to have different morphology in one generation as a result of someone living feral, then that would be something, wouldn't it? That isn't 'normal'. I don't for one second think that the Russian anthropologists that studied the skull in 1987 were confused when stating that the skull had a clear combination of modern and ancient features... A statement that Sykes echoed to some extent ("all this could suggest ancient as opposed to modern human origins"). I don't for a one second believe that this is over. And laughably, out if all of Mullis' statement one thing was conveniently avoided; why would Sykes still be preoccupied with learning whether Zana was relic or not?
I stand by the notion that what is referred to as Bigfoot is human... I always will and science better understanding archaic and known hominids is a key aspect of getting to the bottom of the origins of this mystery being that they are so close to us... So close to us that it is too difficult to determine genome differences with our current means or knowledge of such evidence. I do also stand by Sykes who is clearly looking to find definitive evidence of this species, and that is a victory for this field and the biggest open book possible;

We still have the long term study and he is still openly looking for samples. Why would he be doing that so intensely, anyone would think he has something to replicate??
How easy is it for the slimey ego-driven, scared-of-what-isn't-in-their-control idiots who have the biggest cheek in the known world to come to a Bigfoot blog and make it there daily priority to belittle and call hoax a on everything? How easy is it for them that should hurdles fall they should simply suggest that it is more proof that Bigfoot isn't out there? The chances of them coming out seemingly temporarily victorious is easy when they firstly; maintain the same denialist stance over a field of study that is trying to evolve against all censorship and ignorance... And secondly where real evidence is ignored and denied outright and not treated fairly. Everything is lies or a hoax, therefore by the sheer probablity of events they will appear to score and when a hurdle falls this means they feel they are right to express hate and lies the way that they do, but this doesn't wash with people like me because to me there is nobody more tragic, nobody more ritualistic and faith driven. Science still isn't moving any closer what so ever to proving that living relic hominids are a fantasy.
