This story was circulating the internet way back in 2004, or maybe as far back as 1999. Back when everybody was on 56k dial-up modems and a "Facebook" was just a regular book with directory listing of names and headshots. This story was so disturbing and so shocking that nobody believed it at the time. It was the Robert Lindsay " Bear Hunter: Two Bigfoots Shot and DNA Samples Taken " story of the time. And like Robert's Bear Hunter story , this witness didn't have a name. The only thing known about the witness is that this person was a government employee, anonymous of course. The author of the story was a science teacher named Thom Powell who believe it really happened and that the whole story was an elaborate cover-up. Powell said the anonymous government employee alerted the BFRO about a 7.5 feet long/tall burn victim with "multiple burns on hands, feet, legs and body; some 2nd and 3rd degree burns". I do remember seeing that, Jo. It's interesting.
Things I liked about it:
Old school (like early 80's)
On all fours but didn't look like a bear (who'd have thunk of that at the time?)
Reactions seemed authentic...b.s. meter was pretty low on that one.
I remember it was just so fast and the reactions of the campers seemed pretty legitimate. I'll see if I can find it now...

Fact that it ran on all fours - likely = "dogman" phenomenon? I think most people (bigfoot believers or NOT) still are thinking of/conjure an image of a "Patty" like creature...upright etc.
There are some accounts that have clocked Bigfoot hunting on all fours at 30 miles per hour. I think that the way the subject in that video moves, suggests it could have made some serious ground and that's what intimidates the campers (if my memory serves me correctly).

Am sure the video is out there somewhere. Saw it a few years ago...That may be a good one for someone to "break-down". Since hoaxes have been running rampant (and they are generally STILL pretty lame) gotta love the older videos.
How exactly were the Bigfoots observed "clocked" at 30mph, while hunting on all fours? What did the witnesses do, use a radar gun? Do you just take every report as iron clad fact?
DeleteThe account I'm referencing actually claims 30-40 miles per hour and I'm not sure of the exact details (I'll try and find them for you), but I think when you witness something as big as a Bigfoot moving like that, in an open field (is what I recall the account claiming); I suppose you can visualise the standard speed of a car can't you? That's another bizarre video. Hard to explain away that one...it really is. Guy in a suit is really all you can come up with and it doesn't really look like that very much.

I don't know what to think of the P.E.I. Video, I've watched it many times. Doesn't look like a guy in a gorilla suit, but there is not a lot of forest on the island (been cleared for potato farms) and never been another sighting.

A white tailed deer does that speed easily... Sasquatch, though not everyone agrees with me; eat deer and are widely reported as being interrupted hunting by eye witnesses, as they are more concentrated on their prey as opposed to people. Bigfoot, though not all, switch from bipedal to quadrupedal motion and this would also be consistent with the way they are reported to take the back legs away of deer in chasing them down, before snapping them and then snapping the neck back. These Sasquatch types that eat meat, then use their long nails to tear open the deer's stomach and take away the insides; regularly leaving the rest of the carcass.
