Watch This Monster Sink Hole Consume a Dozen Trees In One Gulp
This sink hole is called the Bayou Corne sinkhole, located in Louisiana. It is the result of a collapsing salt dome owned by Texas Brine, who were extracting brine for use in petrochemical refining. According to one theory, the sinkhole emerged after a wall of the salt dome collapsed -- swallowing not only swaths of land but also releasing explosive gases under homes in the area.. Watch it swallow a bunch of trees in one gulp.
