Director of "Shooting Bigfoot" Morgan Matthews Speaks Out: Bigfoot Was Not Harmed or Loaded Onto a Truck
Thanks to Brian B. for sharing this CBC.ca interview with Filmmaker Margon Matthews regarding Tuesday's premiere showing of his film "Shooting Bigfoot". Contrary to what Rick Dyer has been telling gullible believers, Matthews says he has never helped moved a Bigfoot body. The members of Facebook Find Bigfoot can be heard before the Matthews portion and it's clear they're deeply upset and agitated by the possibility that this could all be a hoax. Brian writes:
Morgan Matthews gave an interview today on british radio. when asked if he believed in Bigfoot, he said that was a difficult question to answer, but he thinks the world is a better place if we think Bigfoot if real. Rick Dyer says Morgan Matthews helped him move a Bigfoot body. I don't think Morgan Matthews would lie. It would ruin his reputation as a documentary maker. Rick is lying there is NO Bigfoot body. Rick Dyer is lying. Here is the interview:

DeleteFolks...are you actually going to buy into this 'second coming' of the 2008 'Bigfoot in the Freezer?' There is a conscious attempt to prolong this charade until August 15th...at which time the parties involved will undoubtedly conjure up another excuse why there is no Bigfoot body (ex. "the government stole the Bigfoot body"). Everything that has happened so far was part of a plan. The participants now have 3 1/2 months to spin this story in order to convince more dupes into sending money. In the meantime, serious Bigfoot research will continue to suffer aggravation and ridicule from the public because of Ricky D. and his followers (including several attention-seeking bloggers and social media mavens).

Isn't that the guy who directed the "Blair Witch" and still is claiming that it was real.
DeleteHe wishes, I bet. "Blair Witch" was an independently produced low-budget flick picked up by a major distributor-Lion's Gate- and made millions....
DeleteAnother Moron interviewer who makes a stupid comparison to Santa and the Easter Bunny. Not going to rehash the silliness in the comparisons to Bigfoot. She sounds like someone who's idea of getting outdoors is sitting on her 30th floor condo balcony downtown Toronto!

DeleteGee Morgan, ambiguous much?
ReplyDeleteYes very. I personally believe that the way he is talking about this not confirming or denying to me sounds like he could be under a NDA.. Just a thought. Anyway I still believe Rick 100%.. Everything he has said has happened and his reaction on the show on the evening of the premier to me looked like someone who was shocked that what was seen was not what he expected to be shown in the documentary..

The Bigfoot hunting populace seems to be afflicted by a disorder that affects some individuals within its confines. Read the following information and tell me if this describes anyone you know or familiar with:
DeleteSymptoms of the affliction include:
- Being easily influenced by other people
- Being overly dramatic and emotional
- Being overly sensitive to criticism or disapproval
- Believing that relationships are more intimate than they actually are
- Blaming failure or disappointment on others
- Constantly seeking reassurance or approval
- Having a low tolerance for frustration or delayed gratification
- Needing to be the center of attention (self-centeredness)
- Quickly changing emotions, which may seem shallow to others
- Acting overly seductive
- Making rash decisions
youve just described traits that in one way or another most people show from time to time depending on the situation, facts, beliefs, etc etc.. and also depends on the person who is witnessing these things own interpretation ... So whats your point, I dont even think you know yourself.
Deleteyeah no shit anon 4:55 I agree. This person at 4:45 is a real winner.
DeleteWhy the hell doesn't he just come out and say Rick Dyer didn't shoot anything and that there is no body, why all the mincing? It is NOT a difficult question.
ReplyDeleteHe's not mincing. He says clearly that they did not shoot a bigfoot.

DeleteSome people may say that this simply describes someone with a huge ego. I honestly don't think that this is the case. There are a few of these seemingly ordinary people that thrive on being the topic of conversation...regardless of the tenor. A majority of this particular group make a point of producing videos full of rants and ridiculous claims, challenging others to contradict their 'proof'...then going on the defensive when they don't agree with what they hear or read in response. I like to refer to these people as 'emotional vampires' because their actions can simply 'suck patience and sympathy' out of a person.
Histrionic personality disorder is a condition in which people act in a very emotional and dramatic way that draws attention to themselves. The American Psychiatric Association defines it as a personality disorder characterized by a pattern of excessive emotionality and attention-seeking, including an excessive need for approval and inappropriately seductive behavior, usually beginning in early adulthood. Associated features include egocentrism, self-indulgence, continuous longing for appreciation, and persistent manipulative behavior to achieve their own needs.
The cause of this disorder is unknown. Both genes and early childhood events are thought to contribute. It occurs more often in women than in men, although it may be diagnosed more often in women because attention-seeking and sexual forwardness are less socially acceptable for women. Histrionic personality disorder usually begins in early adulthood. It is treatable with psychotherapy, including cognitive therapy.
You may want to refer to the idiom 'making a mountain out of a molehill'
I think it's safe to say that we all know one or more people possibly afflicted with this disorder and the search for Bigfoot can attract these individuals for obvious reasons.
He wants his film to succeed. Period. Everything he says or does is in service to that goal. If he believes ambiguity keeps the buzz alive then we will get ambiguous answers...

ReplyDeleteWhen Nick Redfern refers to a case as "beyond weird" you know it's a doozy and that's exactly what this bizarre Bigfoot encounter is, as a couple is intercepted on a hiking trail by a telepathic Bigfoot. Redfern says that rather than file these beyond weird cases away, investigators should embrace them (the weird cases, not the telepathic Bigfoot) because it's always possible that they might hold key to solving the mystery. Redfern plunges into a whole book's worth of these sorts of cases with his latest: Monster Files, including a fresh look at the Flatwoods Monster: Creation of the US Sir Force, a case that pushes even the limits of "beyond bizarre".
Please tell me where he states "no bigfoot was harmed". All he actually states is he himself is not in possession of a/the body.

Body, parts of a body, a live specimen, or enough fossil material to identify a fossilized animal as an unknown primate equivalent to sasquatch, is what is needed. No amount of testimoney, footage, video feeds, and DNA will ever do. Body, major body parts, captured animal, substantial fossil evidence is all that counts.

ReplyDeletecoming over again to read more news.
Look at my web site - wealthwayonline.com
hope or hate - here is what happened (maybe?):
ReplyDeletemr. matthews produced a film about bigfoot hunters in the vein of "trekkies" - a group character study about a selection of the odd and obsessed. this was all the film was ever supposed to be. and then san antonio happened - my guess is it was pretty deep into the production calendar - and the fun film he had about some kooks, became something altogether different - and the footage, the first ever A #1, landmark, groundbreaking footage, now he has that. and that, friends, is found gold.
so, do you put rarest of rare footage into the tail end of the semi-serious character study, with the modest budget and modest marketing plan? no, that would be a terrible idea. why? because you have another, much more serious, and cash worthy film on your hands. and there is NO WAY, let me repeat, NO WAY you put the money footage in the first film. because, let's be honest, mr. matthews is a professional, and that means he wants, and deserves, to be paid for his work. if anyone thinks that the pics and footage are going to be released without some form of payment, they are delusional. the second film (bigfoot shot?), which is already in the works and has been, no doubt, pre-sold to a major distributor, will have what you desire - just make sure you have your credit card ready.
that's showbiz!
So the guy films an actual bigfoot and doesn't put it in a movie he's making about bigfoot. Do you realize how much more ridiculous this sounds than just believing in the magic monkey?
Deletethe opportunity to turn two films, one with better backing based on groundbreaking footage, and one that was already in the can, and of a completely different tone, is absolutely the road to take if you want to maximize your production dollar to profit ratio. the payoff is still there, just delayed. plus, two films.
Deletei'm not saying that's what happened. as usual, there isn't enough evidence to make any conclusive judgement. i'm saying it is the route to take if you had that footage (both sets) and were a filmmaker. the film ends with a cliffhanger, yes?
it is improbable, but possible: a theory based on film strategy.
Deletefrankly, i hope it is not the case and the beast remains unproven.
Scientist Announce Support for the Ketchum DNA Study
ReplyDeleteThe critics have tried to frame the argument as they always do. If they do not have the facts on their side then they yell and scream as loud as possible. The critics with throw out phrases like "Five Geniticist say the study is flawed and lacks data". Every time I asked the critics to name the "Mysterious Five" they can not! They always makes excuses or just stop commenting. By contrast here art the SCIENTIST that support the studies findings and what they say:
David H. Swenson, Ph.D. - Biochemist with over 39 journal publications to his credit. (Click here to read his resume)
DeleteBelow is his statement:
David H. Swenson
Brien Foerster, Jeff Kart, and other interested parties. I went over the manuscript by Melba Ketchum on Bigfoot genomics. My desktop had difficulty with a blast analysis of the consensus sequences. It helped me understand more about the project. This collaborative venture has done a huge project that taxes me to fully grasp. I see interesting homology with a standard human sequence with 99% match for mitochondria. From my abbreviated study, the nuclear genome seems to have human and nonhuman sequences.
My opinion of the creature is that it is a hybrid of a human mother and an unknown hominid male, Just as reported. For all practical purposes, it should be treated as human and protected under law.
Brien, selection of Melba's lab for your studies is a very good call.
Sasquatch is real, as proven by genetic analysis.
Sasquatch is real, Ketchum science is lacking. Peer review is the lowest bar to recognize her work as foundational in any way.
DeleteShe has become worse than a bigfooter, as she moves to hawk ancient alien theories.
If Dr. Sykes can achieve peer-review he will be the one to identify the species for science.
Dr. Ketchum made so many mistakes personally, professionally, and scientifically, that to reward her with more than a nod as a fringe bigfooter is evidence of the proponent's own ethics and ignorance.
"..art the SCIENTIST that support the studies findings.."
Deletewho is this "art the SCIENTIST' guy? does he know joe the PLUMBER?
Ketchum was under a lot of pressure to present her results. She did it a quickly as possible. Once she posts the sequences, her results will be clearer one way our another.
DeleteMM does not say that there is no bigfoot in the movie. MM only confirms that there is no DEAD bigfoot in the movie (which we know already). MM confirms that he personally has never been possession of a bigfoot body nor had it moved to a secure location (we knew this already). If people actually listened to what he actually says, they would realise that he is giving out mysterious and misleading answers. At the end of the day MM has NOT said that there is no body and that the film contains a hoax.

ReplyDeleteHE NEVER said he didn't see or help move a bigfoot body. He was able to dodge those questions for now. HE KNOWS if it is real or not, so if he is hoaxing then he has tarnished his reputation in documentary film-making, but it hasn't been proven for sure just yet.
ReplyDeleteIts difficult to make heads and tails out of this whole story because those with agendas, on both sides, manipulate the truth. This site, while I enjoy the content generally, is guilty of just that with this story. Matthews did not say in this clip what you report he said. That is being untruthful or lazy. I am not a worshipper of Dyer, but show some integrity of your own and report the actual truth without your spin. Matthews was purposefully ambiguous in his answers. He did not say there was no body. He said "I" don't possess "the body" and "I" didn't move "the body." He then says a dead bigfoot isn't shown, emphasizing the "dead" part. A clear allusion to showing an alive one. He dodged the question about whether he is withholding other video evidence and would not answer if he thought it was real, but hemmed and hawwed and one could reasonably conclude he does believe its real. He basically said NOTHING to dismiss the Dyer story on purpose...whatever his motives may be.
ReplyDeleteOn Bigfoot Tracker News, the one and only homeless person who was living in the same plot of glorified woods that the movie was filmed at, clearly stated in his interview that Morgan Mathews did the gun shooting scene 3 or 4 times. Given that, how many times do you think that they got a real live Bigfoot to cooperate and repeatedly attack a cameraman, until Morgan Mathews got it just right? They even hired that homeless person, gave him a walkie talkie, and had him stand on a hill between the parking lot and the filming site, in order to stop anybody from interupting the filming. And they told the homeless person over the walkie talkie, just before they started firing the rifles. Does that sound like there was nothing staged regarding the final scenes?
Deletehttp://bigfoottrackernews.blogspot.com/
my god there really are some naive footers out there. I believe, but some people...have no common sense when they are being hoaxed. They want it so bad they'll believe any and every story they here.
ReplyDeleteI never heard Morgan answer yes or no to any question
ReplyDeleteListen carefully to what he said. Morgan Matthews said HE did not have a body stored somewhere. Matthews is not in possession of a body because Rick Dyer has it!
ReplyDeleteSimple question. Would a video of a dead, warm, blood trickiling Bigfoot that was just shot be worth a ton of cash? Answer Yes!
DeleteIf Dyer shot it as he claimed, would Morgan have walked up and video taped it for his documentary? Answer Yes.
Did Morgan say je believed in Bigfoot? Answer no. He said its a tough call.
Now answer this. Are humans motivated by money and credibility? Answer yes!
So why wouldn't Morgan film Dyer walking up to the body after he shot it? Wouldn't that shot be worth millions? Isn't the PGF the best film of a Squatch? Yes. Wouldn't that shot be worth its weight in gold? Of course!
So Dyer shot a Bigfoot in front of a film crew and there is no video and no body yet, and Morgan who "witnessed" Dyer kill one still cannot confirm he believes in Bigfoot.
So to end the rant, does Morgan have it out enough for Dyer that he would give up millions as the guy who filmed the first confirmed living Sasquatch? Answer no.
Did Dyer kill a BF? Answer no!
Can you spell "circling the drain", boys and girls?
ReplyDelete
