Watch this: Man Feeds Rare Albino Raccoon Girl Scout Cookies, Does Not Know Raccoons Carry Horrible Disease
Raccoons can carry rabies, a lethal disease caused by the neurotropic rabies virus carried in the saliva and transmitted by bites. Most warm-blooded mammals can carry this disease, but the primary carriers in North America are raccoons and other rodents such as skunks. The man in this video does not seem to know this, or does not care. He sees a rare albino raccoon and decides to get close. He wrote this hippy statement in the video description:
"Why anyone would want to get rid of racoons are beyond me. Here goes to show how "vicious" they are. I do not support the feeding of wildlife but i do support the preservation of it. Please commit to helping nature stay nature, pick up your trash, and respect all creatures. Anyways, this is really cute lol..."

ReplyDeleteOne can tell by observation if a racoon is rabid. The most obvious tell is the animal is staggering about in the daytime. The racoon in this video is perfectly healthy and I would taterhole it bareback without a second thought...
