The Freeman Footage: A Washington Wood Ape?

The quality of the film is poor, but after viewing analysis of the film and examining some of the other evidence associated, I have come to the conclusion that Paul Freeman filmed a real family of Wood Apes in Washington. For quite some time, I refused to refer to the female Wood Ape in the Patterson-Gimlin Film as anything other than the "subject of the film".
After speaking to Dr. Jeffrey Meldrum about the validity of the film and hearing the evidence for it, I now refer to the subject of the film as a real animal. Now, I feel that I am able to refer to the subjects of the Freeman Film as real animals. In my view, the scene plays out like a real encounter with animals. Paul had found very fresh tracks, he tracked the animals who left the tracks, and then he filmed the animals. So why do I think that the blurry footage is of a living, breathing animal? We will discuss the evidence for its validity here.

DeleteThis is about a specific piece of footage being real or not. Not what is needed to prove to you and others that it is real. We all want solid 100% evidence like a body, when that happens it will happen. The longer we go without it, the better chance they have of survival honestly.

DeleteThe denial is astounding but we must allways remember they can't be faulted it's a perfectly natural human reaction to have when confronted with the out of the ordinary, you tell yourself it's anything but what it really is it's the childhood tactic of making the bogeyman go away. Like the first time early man ever saw a snake or spider he freaked out, that is still with us and none represent that everlasting fear better than our very own resident stock troll company here.
DeleteSo Jay you have called this footage 'real' after speaking to Jeff Meldrum? I'm hoping this based purely on the track evidence offer up and not the creature footage itself. As interesting as the footage is there is no way to discern if it is a 'real' BF from what we have here.

Oops, sorry you have taken my words out of context. I was saying that I concluded that the Patterson film was real after speaking to Jeff about the evidence for it. My trust in the validity of the freeman film comes from the footprint evidence and Paul Freeman's behavior in the film. I have read the article, but a lot of the evidence Paul has brought out of the woods is extremely intriguing. I have said before that footprints which were similar to those he had casted were still being found in the blue mountains after his death. I truly think that as a US Forest patrolman, Paul was able to get deep into the wilderness and find an area where wood apes foraged in often.
Delete"Suspect" is fair if not mild. The most prolific "repeat offender" in the history of this topic. He found more in '94 than Dahindren, Byrnes, Green etc combined discovered over 40 years....

So many issues with Freeman. Forestry service called in Joel Harding to investigate one of his track finds. Harding found that the tracks appeared only in the path, in the most suitable soil with no signs of entry or exit. Additionally, it appeared the forest litter had been brushed aside with the prints, and no forest litter was found in the impressions. Some prints showed evidence of being rocked back and forth to make the impression. Investigators prints also sank deeper than the supposed Bigfoot's.

When Freeman took Rene Dahinden on a search for evidence, Freeman went off by himself on a " hunch"; when he came back, he announced he had found prints complete with dermal ridges. Rene was very vocal about his belief Freeman was a hoaxer.
Freeman found buttocks prints, knuckle prints, adult and juvenile prints, apparent infant prints, saw it several times and filmed it, claimed to have found hide with tooth marks, cave paintings, and found hair that turned out to be synthetic fiber. Human dermal ridges were found in his prints, and the lateral "ridge flow pattern" is likely a casting artifact, which Dr.Meldrum agrees with.
It is also true that while Meldrum dropped in on Freeman unannounced, he visited friend Wes Summerlin first. All it takes is a telephone to let Freeman know Meldrum plans on dropping by.
Taking into account Freeman's admission of hoaxing, how likely is any of his evidence to be genuine?
A lot of the claimed Freeman hoaxes could have been honest mistakes. It is also certainly possible that Freeman hoaxed when evidence still had not convinced anyone. Please read Dr. Meldrum's book, he approves the authenticity of the handprints, knuckle prints, and buttocks print an has presents good evidence for their authenticity. He also details on his trip to Freeman's area. I explained Freeman's hoaxing admission in the article. I agree that the lateral ridge flow pattern were artifacts but some of the coarse dermatoglyphics and the healed scar are not. Thanks for your input.
DeleteThanks for your response to my Freeman post. I do want to add that a look at Matt Crowley's extensive experiments shows that the scars may simply be a result of suction. The same appearance has been present in some of his tests. I think it is important to consider every possible explanation before we conclude some thing is authentic, especially given the lack of a type specimen. I am all for Bigfoot, but feel scrutiny is warranted.

DeleteMatt Crowley produced what amounts to a huge hoax, by claiming that dermal ridges were a drying lines. Consequently, all of Matt Crowley's conclusions, can be tossed into the round file. Melissa Hovey proved that Matt Crowley was hoaxing.
DeleteIn my opinion, Matt Crowley is simply a skeptic who wishes to debunk something even if it doesn't match up entirety. The idea that the lateral ridges are artifacts is likely true, but he has tried to pass off simple cracks in plaster and such as proof that what many experts say is a healed scar is not one. Many of his experiments produce features which superficially resemble dermatoglyphics or healed scars, and that is enough to allow him to say bigfoot aren't real. But while they superficially resemble them, they did not have the consistent and anatomically accurate features which the alleged dermatoglyphics and scar in the footprint casts did. I think that many of his conclusions are false, because he is only basing his opinion of off superficial resemblance and had never examined them with an expert of primate dermatoglyphics.
DeleteThe post by anonymous 6:53, is a perfect example of a cut and paste from a distorted and falsified Bigfoot history database, owned by an anti-Bigfoot group. Because even paid scoftics, do not have the ability to remember falsified details like that for nearly 20 years, and then regurgitate it on the internet. Therefore, what we see here is a perfect example of the end result of the massive corruption that pervades the Bigfoot documentation pursuit.

DeleteThey got scared when Ketchum found the species' DNA and it not only proven living new species but turned out to be a human one, no wonder the Darwin lovers in mainstream science got cold feet. However a simple inspection of the film reveals to even the most inexperienced person, the slower rhythm of the body and appendage movements, that indicates a larger body mass than that of a human. It would be impossible for a human to replicate this rhythm, to replicate a subject of this height and proportions, to replicate with a full body hair costume, and to be stupid enough to wear it in broad daylight where he could easily be dispatched by one of thousands of gun toting morons who frequent the woods. Therefore, despite that massive efforts and expenditures of an obsessive anti-Bigfoot group, this film is clearly a genuine documentation of a real animal that has been popularly described as Bigfoot or Sasquatch.

Today's ingenuity has yet to get around the difficulty of going back in time to use 1995 technology to produce additional footage in 1995, that was similar to the Freeman footage. If a person had unlimited funds in 2013, and studied all of the actual Bigfoot footage, then in 2013 they might be able to use the latest technology to accomplish a poor hoax. But they still could not go back in time to present their footage to the public then, in order to discredit the Freeman footage. So your standard paid scoftic/textbook arguements, is clearly without merit. Furthermore, heavy body mass has yet to be duplicated in a suit without revealing weights sewn into the suit, that would then change body rhythms.

While I have no doubt the Freeman video is that of a real squatch or two I must also admit it wouldn't be impossible to do that walk, unlike Patty out in the open terrain. It's not the walk itself that convinces me it's no hoax it's everything combined, Freeman's words and reactions and of course the look and sheer size of the figure not so much the moves more the whole thing/situation yells real and knowing already myself these beings exist I must classify this a genuine and quite typical bigfoot encounter. Tell yourselves it's not real if you must, but it still is.

LOL The very name is one of the major problems with the whole study of Sasquatch just because we currently don't understand what they are (at least the public has not been clued in) we lump them in there with strange and hidden animals but they clearly aren't apes, hidden yes but no apes these guys behave very differently.
DeleteA human primate species does not belong in that category simple as that, it's time to take a different approach to the mystery or we'll never solve it if you continue to think you're looking for an animal based on traditional white man lore of the last 50 years you'll only keep on finding nothing. Nothing pisses them off more than to have the best Bigfoot videos appear over and over on the internet, without being discredited. There are only so many skirmishes that they can pull out their anti-Bigfoot propaganda, before it gets too old and too well used for anybody to pay attention to anymore. And now we have Karl and his friend here, attempting to set a trap over on cryptozoology.com. What they don't tell you is that when you join up, you have to give them enough information so that they can find out who you are, and then they can destroy every aspect of your life. Karl and Karl's friend no doubt are in tight with the site owner, who hands out confidential member information like candy. So now you all know just a little bit more about how the corrupt parties in the Bigfoot world, work to destroy the Bigfoot educational process in America. As far as Karl being vicious, it appears that he proved that point beyond a shadow of a doubt. It appears that the pathological liar aspects of his personality, were not properly introduced, before he went on his "denial" rampage. If you noticed him using the "prove otherwise" phrase. "Demanding proof" is one of the most commonly used weapons, that the paid scofics have in their arsenal. Of course, even if you presented proof on the internet, Karl and his sweatshop friend would never accept it as proof. So then you would be caught on a never ending treadmill, where there is no amount of proof that can satisfy Karl and Karl's sweatshop friend.

Karl appears to have more than a passing acquaintance with "cowardice". On cryptozoology.com, when a new contributor posts something new and contrary to the standard diatribe of the home boys, they gang up on the contributor with Karl often leading the charge. As soon as the contributor makes any kind of reply at all, the home boys get the word to the website manager and the new guy is instantly banned. This cowardly tactic prevents the home boys from having to debate actual historical facts with persons who have not drank the kool-aid. The home boys will attack the banned contributor for days on end with falsified recollections of history that they make no attempt to prove, nor could they prove. But they never hesitate to demand proof from their opponents. It is similar to locking a guys arms behind his back, while his fellow gang members beat the crap out of him. This is the kind of intelligent debate that Karl participates in. So what you see here is just a hint of Karl threatening to go postal, instead debating on a level playing field. Which is something that he is not used to doing. Ordinarily on Karl's home turf, I would have been banned by now and not able to point out the cowardly action of him and his home boys on cryptozoology.com. I guess that is what Karl refers to as "chewed up and spit out", cryptozoology.com style. Amazingly enough, Karl actually has admitted on the internet that Bigfoot are real, yet he has devoted pages and pages to decrying that they are not real. Which kind of tells you something about old Karl.
