This sh!t is about to hit the fan, Ed Smith is real, and so are these people

Last week, I gave the chances of this "Daisy in the box" claim a less-than-zero percent chance (which is next to impossible) of it being real. Our opinion on this has now changed. We're now 0.0000000001 percent sure this thing may be real. Now that well respected people like Dr. Jeff Meldrum, Kathy Strain, Melissa Hovey, Abe Del Rio, and Steve Kulls have allowed their names to be associated with this story, we're not so sure anymore if we're being played by Ed Smith / Team Quantra. According to Smith's lastest post on the MABRC forum, they've assembled a "Bridge Team," and while their purpose is unclear at the moment, their association with the story is now set in stone. Steve Kulls has also posted a statement regarding his inclusion into the list.

Earlier today, D.W. Lee posted this message on the MABRC forum:

Many will question how this team was decided upon. Ed Smith wanted Dr. Meldrum and Melissa Hovey from the start, he left the remaining members of the team to be decided upon by D.W. Lee. The info below gives a basic background for which the decision was made from.

  • Dr. Jeff Meldrum - Dr. Meldrum is highly respected by the majority of the Bigfoot Community, and has the scientific background to evaulate the data.
  • Kathy Strain - Kathy is highly respected by the majority of the Bigfoot Community, and has leadership positions with the AIBR.
  • Melissa Hovey - Straight-shooter, tells it like it is. Respected by many in the Bigfoot Community for her strong stance to call it like she sees it.
  • Abe Del Rio - Radio show host, respected by many on both sides of the fence in the Bigfoot Community, from the Forest People side to the Flesh and Blood/Animal side.
  • Steve Kulls - Radio show host, respected by many from his radio show work, and will help with his experience as an investigator.

The MABRC part of the Bridging Team is as follows:

  • D.W. Lee "Darkwing" - Executive Director of the MABRC
  • Randy Harrington "Driveroperator" - Randy is well-known to many of the principles of the Orig-6, and has substantial background knowledge of the last 4 years with Ed Smith and the Orig-6
  • Jim Whitehead "Biggjimm" - Jim is a degreed biologist, and will help to identify and understand the information presented as part of the meeting.
  • Rob Gaudet "ElectricBigfoot" - Rob has a great background in technology and will help D.W (who also has background in technology) keep track and understand the technology side of things.
  • Doug Todd "Holotype" - Scientist, who along with Jim, will provide the scientific side of things for the MABRC.

Here is Steve Kull's statement about the new "Bridge Team" via his blog:

I have no details of what is exactly to take place, nor a timeline, a location, nor any photos, videos and the like.

All I have is a commitment to have a meeting with the alleged Bigfoot captors.
This is one of many steps that are necessary to validate their claim. If you’d ask me a couple of weeks ago, what are the odds, that this was real, I’d honestly tell you, “Slim.”

I still feel that way, however I am impressed at this effort.

Other than that, I have been a viewer on the sidelines as much as anyone else.
I have not been in contact with Ed Smith during this time period, and my only contact pertaining to this matter has been the last few days with DW Lee, who has as well wants to this to see this to the end.

Due to my “boots on the ground,” mentality, and Squatchdetective.com’s mission statement, we must follow this to the end to see if such claims are the truth or otherwise.

To have absolute proof, you must follow the proof absolutely.

My personal “proof of life,” is to lay eyes on their specimen. No more, no less, videos, photos, interviews with Team Quantra will not suffice.

I will be releasing no further information on this independently, as I am now part of an assembled group. However I will not allow this to be a long, drawn out process either. This is not for an air of secrecy, but to prevent any wild speculations or conclusions.

It should not take days, weeks, months and years for this kind of thing to be presented.

    2. agreed there @12:11. I think Meldrum is careful enough with his tenured FULL professorship that he wouldn't want to risk it unless it WERE true. On the other hand, maybe he's just willing to go this far, go to the meeting, and then withdraw and call it fishy, if that's what it's looking like to him. That might still work for him. He does say that "there is a clear body of evidence that warrants further investigation". That how I feel as well, as I haven't seen a bigfoot. So, I'm a believer, not a knower, as I presume Meldrum is also. So, it's got to be checked out. But, if they've got one, dead or alive, you'd think they would just go to the mainstream press and get their publicity that way, and cut out the middlemen. That's why I think it's going nowhere. I assume they've already consulted their lawyers about the fallout, and I can't see any legal advantages to bringing in the "respected members" of the bigfoot community. They're not lawyers. If you've got one show it. Up close, let the press poke it if it's dead, or see it live if it is. If it's real what advantage could there be going this route for team quantra?

  11. Well, I see the numbers people who learned to count are here. I just wanted to say that I will be patiently waiting for the results. I'm excited as anyone else. I have seen and know these things are real. I just want to be able to have proof to back my story when I tell people. I have talked about it for years and been able to hear alot of good eyewitness accounts of them as well. I would never had heard of others accounts if it were not for asking questions or talking about Bigfoot openly. I'm not affraid of what people think of me for that or what their opinion of what I saw was real or not. I know they are. Just because you haven't seen one. I have seen things some people don't see. People see things I don't. So does that make them less credible or less believable. Does that make everyone a liar. It's like a good question. Have you ever seen a place you never been to but know its there? It must be true with all the people that talk about it, post pics of the place, and talk about their experiences there. Should I call bull shit if someone stakes a claim to have visited a foriegn country? NO! Because, even though I have never been, people as a matter of fact accept that its a real place by the accounts and the pictures of it. When so many people, thousands of people, like myself, claim to have seen, heard, or experienced a Bigfoot, over thousands of years and in many countries and people of different races without the use of phones or e-mail, or any other technological devices claim the same thing, how do explain that? Most skeptics will say, I DON'T KNOW! I think they are too ignorant or too scared to admit to something that is there in fear of the Bigfoot itself or fear that they will be ridiculed by people who don't know about these creatures. It's important to remember that we all are human and we are smart animals ourselves. Lets not play dumb anymore and be real about what we know about Bigfoot. Skeptics and Non believers as well. Its ok if you don't believe. Just don't come here to tell us people who do, not to!

    6. Yep that is true rum! Just to play devil's advocate a bit here I think the whole foreign country analogy doesn't really work here because we know and have empirical evidence supporting the existance of other countries. We know for a fact that New Zealand or Iceland exists we've even seen pictures of the Earth from space to confirm what we already know! The problem with Squatch is there is no solid evidence yet. There's no Bigfoot we can visit or see on a nature documentary or even look at a good photo in a book. There are only eye witness testimonies which are impossible to prove real or fake unless you where there too. The whole folk story tradition thing isn't reliable either, just because the Native Australians and Americans didn't have the ability to email each other to come up with similar legends doesn't prove anything. There are legends of Werewolves throughout Europe, Vampires are a common myth across the globe and nearly ever culture has a wicked Witch or Sea Serpent it doesn't make them real either. There are just a common fear of things that go bump in the woods.

If the meeting doesn't happen, it'll scream "hoax"! But if the meeting happens, then it'll be easy - either Meldrum, et al. come back and say they have one, or they come back and say they have nothing. Then it's a matter of whether you believe Meldrum and the others.

I do find it interesting that these individuals have all agreed to the meeting. Strongly suggests they see some validity in it.

Here are some FACTS about Munns:

Has worked on a grand total of less than ten films in his career

Fired from ROTLD in 1985 for the poor quality of his work. Hasn't worked in film since.

Banned from jref forums for insulting posts and threatening legal action against the site

Looks at giganto bones, builds an amazing giganto statue. 'Studies' pgf for five years, builds an Ewok with tits.

Played around with 3D software, calls it photogrammetry.

Despite having absolutely no professional qualifications or training he acquired some of Meldrum's U of Idaho bigfootbucks to do, you guessed it, photogrammetry.

Has repeatedly and shamelessly solicited money donations from bff forum members.

Has never seen a real bigfoot.

Declared pgf creature to be 4'6" on national television. Claims he didn't really say that. But he did.

Thinks rebuilding the pgf creature exactly as it's seen on the film is open to artistic interpretation. It's not. Build what's on the film or give the money back thank you.

      Delete
    4. Well on the one hand you are saying he is not a competent designer and builds crap and on the other saying he built the PG suit isn't out of the question.

      Delete
    5. Hasn't someone else come forward as the maker of the suit in the PGF film? Wasn't it that Morris costumes guy and he had Bob Hieronimous appear with him on tv last year to confirm it, it was on Making Monsters on the Travel channel. Think his name is William Morris and he says that Patterson got him to make an ape suit for Bob to wear in the film and after keeping it a secret for all these years he's now touring round doing a talk about it. So think the fake Knower is full of shit there, Bill Munns does suck though watch the Return Of The Living Dead documentary on the new Bluray and see why he was sacked for being shit at SFX!

    9. Munns' first credit on IMDB is 1969 for working in the sound department on some movie or tv show. However, like I stated in a comment above someone else backed by Bob (who claims to have worn the suit) has gone on tv and said they made it so if it is fake then either Morris costumes made it for Bob to wear, or Munns made it and Bob is full of shit or Bob never wore the costume and has no clue who made it. Either that or there was no costume and the footage is real, who knows but Patterson who's dead and Gimlin who says it's real

  28. Let me get this straight.

Ed Smith is distancing himself from Team Quantra
The MABRC is distancing themselves from Team Quantra.
DW Lee is distancing himself from Team Quantra.
None of these individuals has seen the alleged specimen.
Hovey is not part of Team Quantra and has not seen a specimen.
No one else on the list is posting on the MABRC forum, which Team Quantra had agreed to post there only.
No one will admit who is a member of Team Quantra.
On MABRC, there is description of a trapping container, but it is not air tight at all and certainly cannot allow all of the oxygen to be sucked out of the container, to order to render anything unconscious or dead.

Over a week has passed and they are still claiming that they have a powerful, paranormal person captured, that can render them all unconscious with a thought, that can walk through solid steel walls, and that can follow them home and reek terror on them and their families.

In conclusion, in my opinion this is either a carefully orchestrated scam or the Team Quantra members that were present at the capture location, have already been either rendered unconscious or have been made to disappear, never to be found again.

  31. Ideally, if paid skeptics were behind this, it would be desireable for the entire Bigfoot community to be made to look like fools on national television. This would ideally occur just prior to the Ketchum study being release. As a second choice, at least a core of the highest profile researchers that they could find, could be humuliated. This would give the news anchors some great lines to warn viewers about the Ketchum DNA study, and completely discredit it despite it's scientific achievement.

This Daisy event is a scam that is being carefully timed to precede the Ketchum study
publication announcement, in order to discredit it, in my opinion.

The Sykes study hasn't even started testing yet according to Meldrum's email on here in December, factor in Christmas and New Year and they might start soon if you're lucky! The third study already published it's results on here in December pretty much discrediting the Ketchum study with it's results of Smejs and black bear not possible new homonid that Ketchum believed it to be! You need to grow up and stop either believing all the bullshit conspiracy stories or learn to put things in to context!

  33. With the list of people mentioned if it does NOT go down it will for the most part close the book on Bigfoot.2013 will be the end of the story and the end of Credible Research as we know it. What they need to do is add one more to this team as a witness to any and all antics "Hold their feet to the fire" sort of speak. I really wish it to be true so it will shut a lot of people up but if it's not then it will shut us all up. I know they are real and maybe some day they will be revealed to society or buried by society. As a Minister of the Gospel I pray for Truth and the scales removed from all eyes. God Speed and get ye behind me Satan !

    2. ^^^wrong Paul. This has nothing to do with ketchum. Ketchum will wow the scientific community with her DNA study and data. DNA does not lie.

  34. The list of 5 mentioned above are not 'involved' as yet. It's one thing for Quantra/Ed Smith to talk about forming this 'bridging group'. It's a completely different matter, however to get everyone around a table to review Quantra's hard and indisputable evidence.

  36. Why do some of these dudes have callsigns with their names? Posted by Maverick

    ReplyDelete
  37. By naming the experts that they suck in, as part of the Bridge "Team", and the name of perpetrators of the scam as being of the Quantra "Team", just by consenting to be part of the overseeing "Team", you can easily be included with the HOAXING TEAM when this finally gets exposed. Therefore, the group of experts on the Bridge Team will be forever associated by the JREF paid skeptics, with the hoaxers who orchestrated this entire charade.
