One of the coolest things about Bigfoot research is the toys!! I remember the first expedition I went on I had the opportunity to use thermal imagers and night vision, two things that I'd never encountered prior to the expedition. It was so completely awesome and added to my enjoyment of expedition. Third generation night vision was like looking through daylight and the thermals amazed me with their ability to pick up all kinds of heat signatures. There was no doubt as to what I was looking at and I was so impressed, never having had the opportunity to use them. I was completely fascinated with this technology and wished that I were made of money so I could go out and pick up one of everything. These gadgets can be pretty pricey, but there are some pretty good deals out there. Check out the gadget below!
This is recording made with a Yukon Ranger 5x42 with tokina 3x lens and 3W IR laser 808nm. Recorded with Yukon mpr. This night vision can be picked up for around $400, and an added IR laser, that really enhances you view can run anywhere from $100 and way up there!!
