The Marble Mountain Bigfoot Footage Needs Another Investigation

I realized a few things reading the comments on my last article. There are a lot of good and reasonable people reading this blog. There are also a lot of people that don't seem to be reading the articles, just making comments. But most importantly, there are a lot of people reading this blog.
So here is my idea: a few people mentioned the BFRO breakdown of the Marble Mountain, along with a lot of ideas on what the thing was coming down the mountain. There has to be a few of us that live near Marble Mountain. Why don't a few of us go up there, camp, and attempt to recreate the Marble Mountain footage. You don't even need to be Bigfoot sized, just a known height so we can measure a comparison.
I live in Ohio and have basically no time off ( I write these by voice to texts as I drive to work) or I would do it. I realize that we are probably in the wrong time of year now for it. But once the snow melts someone with a camera and two radios could very simply make it happen. Measure the person that is going to do the walking, and then have them hike around a bit. You could get real crazy, and give the guy on the mountain a camera and we could see the 2 videos at the same time.
Why should you do it? It would be fun. Plus you get your 15 minutes of fame. You could be helping verify one of the biggest pieces of Bigfoot film in history, or on the other hand be the one that officially dispels it. I volunteer myself to investigate anything within reasonable driving distance of my house.
And who knows, this could get crazy enough that we can give the BFRO a run for their Moneymaker.

DeleteBesides the BFRO already did this they're the ones getting the height of eight feet which makes sense given the stature of the figure. Both this squatch and Patty share many characteristics too like gait and legs, both filmed subjects also happen to fit exactly the descriptions Albert Ostman gave of the adult squatches he encountered back in 1924.
Trying to debunk this is a waste of time, why not simply go there or anywhere for that matter camping for a few days and hope to have a sighting if you wait around long enough in active areas the chance is very good you'll see or hear something. Stake out that place rather than recreate an old video, it's like you want confirmation it's fake or something and that's not gonna happen.
There are some major discrepancies as far as what people think that the BFRO found, or even if they accurately recreated the footage. I think that it is worth it because of the potential the footage has. If it can be verified that the being is 8 ft, that is really going to throw weight behind this as solid evidence. If you put a backpacker up there and it looks exactly the same, that would debunk a bit.
DeleteBut it's already been established that it's not a backpacker because of the size and build how the whole body resembles spot on what Ostman lived to see and tell. Tyler you do realize this video is twelve years old by now ? Much in the scenery will likely have changed quite a bit since then.
DeleteIt will be great if some people try this, but one problem in the attempted debunk of this and the Provo video is that all are waiting to debunk simply based on height, possibly size. That's important but younger creatures will be shorter, smaller, and we don't know what kind of variety size-wise there are out there. So a debunking based on height only is flawed; based on height and size is better, but still flawed, or incomplete.
ReplyDeleteEither way, there looks like an enormous amount of mass on this individual when it comes down toward the filmer in the trees. Arm and leg lengths and proportions are probably more important than sheer height or size, to focus on for attempted debunkings.
I could be wrong, but the thighs look too slim to be a bigfoot. "Patty" had huge, thick upper legs. The lower legs look too long proportionally compared to the Patterson film as well. Perhaps it's the camera and distance. It doesn't look graceful or well balanced either. That's my take. The structure though was a bit more interesting, with the freshly snapped off branches.

DeleteJames, Patty's female of seven feet and this is likely a male of eight so if you recall the descriptions Albert Ostman gave of the man squatch and the woman squatch you'll know how eerily close to Patty and this on they were. Now how could that be when he gave those details 50+ years ago ? In my view there's a match here or two in fact because he knew the species is real.
DeleteI've no doubt the bigfoot exist either. The PG film shows the upper/lower leg proportions that we should all look for, where the lower leg is noticeably shorter than the upper, defined by the knee bend. I see human ratios in this video. Bobo did a comparison and he was taller. I don't see how a creature designed for mountain terrain would have such slim upper thighs either (no shaming intended Cyndi). I also don't think a bigfoot would be having to put its arms out sideways for balance like that, if it had the well developed muscle and bulk that's shown in the PG film. It's so far away it's hard to say for sure I'll admit. We see the bulk of the arms, but not the thighs, and I'm wondering why would that be. Leg power is what these things are known for, as well as speed.
DeleteBobo did his walk at a different location so it hardly counts, you'd have to be blind not see this figure is huger than huge in a typical bigfoot situation of straight focused behavior. The leg movements too are very close to Patty's that inward apelike leg twist these guys have that we just can't do proving this not a man of our species but something else, the other great primates also do this and for some reason these bigfoot do it too. They're just shaped unlike us so again one must point out Ostman's male adult how seeing this video is like they just stepped out of myth and into reality, boom there they are clear as day as similarly described by maybe the closest surviving witness ever.

Its already been reinvestiagted and after the side by side comparison even bobo felt it looked suspect the only person that felt it was still legit was matt moneymaker and he will say every video is real. Why would do.we waste our time trying to recreate bad footage? You can recreate 1000 times just like thwy have done with the pg film and could never prove it was a hoax. The only people who know and will ever know are the ones who filmed it and the guyin the suit.or the actual squatch they filmed so how about instead of wasting time recreating and debunking we spend time trying to get better footage. The pg film the hoffman film andbthe freeman film was enough to.make me a beleiver all these other bad videos are useless. Lets get better footage. DeleteThe biggest one is red eyes tall dark figure with almost glowing red eyes. Thats why in nj sasquatch is known as ol red eyes its all in wierd nj. Allot reports of tree knocks and whistles. But the biggest thing is the poeple who have seen a large hairy animal in.the pine barrens. In central nj pine barrens there are no bears or moose onky deer and turkey and small rodents so any large bipedal animal sighting out here is suspect becaue you dont have your usual misidentification animals.present at all

Nope. FINDING BIGFOOT did not go to the same place. The USFS would but give them a permit to record video there. They just reenacted the scenario. In any case, too many variables exist, including camera zoom levels, poor quality tape vs digital equipment, unknown exact locations/distances, and twilight lighting conditions.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion this is a set up, it probably wasn't supposed to go this far, just something to scare the kids and give them something to talk about.
In any event the filmer is a lie, and therefore is a sinner if he is christian.
Saying that "he's yelling at us, etc" was just a way of saying that the figure on the ridge noticed them and seemed uneasy / nervous. Remember, he was talking to a group of special needs children, it is very unlikely that a trick to "scare" them would have been perpetrated on the youngsters. It is more likely that his statement was to put the boys more at ease if anything.

As far as comparing people now vs the tape from then, you would have to use the same camera and the weather would have to be the same (at that distance humidity et al will distort), so it is very unlikely to get a valid comparison. Just believe what you will, and let others do the same. Easy
Yes sadly trolls are the special needs kids here. The guy filming saw everything a lot clearer than any of us can now, also, this figure match the general idea of the somewhat slimmer male Sasquatch whereas Patty's one much rounder lady.

ReplyDelete....Time of year. It is a hard reeactment but possible. On "Finding Bigfoot" besides not getting a permit it was a long drive and long and steep hike. Then another hike to creature location(no helicopter ride). The info is out there to answer many questions on where, when and how but so is the site. The PG site rediscovery team(Bluff Creek Bigfoot) could do it sometime next year. We are probably one of the closest teams.
ReplyDeleteThis video is such an enigma. It spells of hoax, but there are quite a few people watching and they just do not seem to be acting or laughing. They start out there is the Bigfoot and laugh some, but as time goes on they seem more mesmorised about what they are seeing and trying to get a handle on it. The figure looks like a backpacker with long shorts sideways, but full on frontal it looks large. It looks awkward at times and other times able to move in ways humans do not normally do. In comparison to the branch it is much larger than the recreation actor, and its arms look considerably longer than a human. I also saw rerun last night of Finding Bigfoot Marble Mtn. and figure looked as large as Bobo in some shots, however Bobo was one third distance closer they claimed due to permits. It was also easy to see that Bobo was a human and we know cameras do not film Bigfoots very well probably due to all the hair. The branches on the shelter were fresh and large and not cut but clearly broken off a trunk in some method. I don't know what to think, to me it is an enigma, but it is a good idea Tyler. Thanks for bringing this back and creating a discussion. What part of Ohio do you live in?

I think if someone can go up and film it the way it was filmed, And try and place them selves as close to possible to the original location, we would have a reasonable assessment to work with. LOL That 1967 footage lives on because it's real as will this clip. I'd understand it better if you went to reported places of squatch activity and hung out there for a while, make your presence known in a area you're likely to be inspected upon by these big boys sooner or later. That's the only way to be near-sure of an encounter to visit their home and stick around like an invader, a daytrip will literally get you nowhere.

ReplyDeleteZoom and all of that could easily be accounted for by landmarking and lining up geographic markers. Time of year, day, and positions would be enough to get a pretty good handle on what we are seeing. Rock on.

What's the point anyway, it's like you've already made your mind up that you wish to somehow debunk it when enough good pointers have been put forward by others why it's neither fake nor a guy hiking.
ReplyDeleteThe subject on marble mountain is walking behind the trees, any scale comparison would be invalid cause you can't tell where the subject is in relation to the branch.( looks to me like the subject is further behind it on high ground) To get a scale comparison the subject would have to be inline with the branch and you can't tell from this video, their scale is bogus. you would also have to know the exact spot it was filmed to get scale from someone just walking down the mountain. I don't know if filming spot is known or not.
ReplyDeleteAnd to the skeptics that say the shelter is man made and you can see rope, it might not have anything to do with the subject coming down the mountain just somebody's shelter. I try to look at things unbiasedly but what stinks to me about the video is the guy saying "some creature built this" as if bears, foxes, deer, etc etc build things like this, and right on cue
here it comes down the mountain? If this video makes you believe or disbelieve your doing it wrong. just my 2 cents
