"We are prepared to retain" basically means he (or she as it's written above) hasn't yet retained (paid retainer) therefore he likely typed this himself. The copyright has to be obtained within something like 60 days and before Rick Dyer made it public, otherwise it is worthless. Therefore, his claim is false. There is no copyright. The library of congress does not copyright anything to do with bigfoot, because bigfoot does not exist for them.
