Where Are The Bigfoot Bones?

Editor's Note: This is a post by Bigfoot Evidence contributor M. Strudwick, a Sasquatch enthusiast.

Everytime skeptics talk about Bigfoot they always ask the same question: If Bigfoot is real why are there no bodies or bones found? I normally try to ignore this question as I have no plausible explanation other than that, which I have been told by hardcore Bigfoot believers:

“They have never found bear bones or chimp bones, so why would they find Bigfoot bones?”

To be honest I have never fallen for this answer but by now I know not to get on the bad side of a “Bigfoot expert”, for I have neither the will nor the energy to fight indefinitely. Luckily though there are some people brave enough to ask this question and to seek the real answer.

    1. Mainly Krantz was mistaken in the species identity he thought sasquatch was namely Gigantopithecus, he's wrong there they're not the safe animal explanation of nonhuman apes and therein lies the bone answer.
They must bury them or take them god knows where maybe underground somewhere, it's a good theory as any since they must be intelligent evidently to evade capture yet continuously remain witnessed.
The species may in fact not even be of the earth and if ufos are real (they are I've seen them so know that to be fact) that means someone's flying them therefore aliens exist and when that's the case why couldn't squatches be that too theoretically speaking at least.
Hidden history tell us by ancient archeology we were indeed visited thousands of years ago, so with bigfoot proof still not in it's perhaps time to look outside the traditional scientific window regarding this species.

  9. I find bones every year hunting. Most are deer with a few odd ball elk or small animal bones. I am not including road kill bones. Most are bones from hunter kills. In my 35yrs of hunting memories, I have found one bear skull. That is NY and WA combined with most of the hunting in WA, where I found the skull, which has second largest black bear population in the country.

I have found maybe 20 deer skulls and about four or five elk skulls with one beaver skull. Never found a cougar or even a coyote skull. I don't try to figure out small bones. If it is not a skull, vertebrae, rib or leg bone it is would take too long to figure out what it was. So how many deer, elk, bear, cougars, coyotes, beavers, etc have lived in WA and NY the past 35 years? Many many million I imagine. Then break it down to just WA and by half the state. Still millions.

Now take 1% of 30,000 (high estimate of WA bear population) and get 300, the possible number of bigfoot in WA. Put two thirds, or 200 in western WA. What are the odds of even seeing a bigfoot much less finding the bones of one?

One thing I did not see in that video was the dense evergreen forests around any of the carcasses. Our evergreen rainforests literally eat bones. With small animals, insects, and decomp. Think how many animals die every day. Now think about not having Mother Nature clean up the bones. We would be eyes deep in them.

Now human bones pose a different problem. Most humans who die in the woods are found before they reach bone stage. Believe me, I have found a guy who committed suicide once while I was hunting. The rest who die are either killed by animals or other human. The animal kills are found usually too. But when a human kills a human, they tend to bury the evidence. This does two things. Prevents bones from being scattered much and eaten by animals. So when the ground spits out us nasty humans, or a killer confesses, the can find some bones.

So I tend to think the odds of finding bigfoot bones is about the same as winning the lottery, twice. I. sure it happens, but the bone is misidentified or tossed aside.

    6. While most skeptics seem to think the forests should just cough up bigfoot at will, few ever venture forth into the forests. Actually the same can be said of believers too. They don't understand the vastness of the forests and groves.

They say, we have all this technology like night vision, thermal imaging devices, drones etc so just go out and find them. Since several researchers do try these devices but have no proof or typical blurs and blobs, skeptics feel vindicated in their view. But if it was that simple why are so many hikers, campers, hunters, climbers lost every year and never found?

Many places I hunt even gps does not work. The trees are too thick and valleys to steep to let a good signal in, or out. Sure tv and movies make it seem that our technology is so good we can beat Mother Nature every time. But that is just not true. Look at how many floods tear out dikes that were built to stop any flood. Or weather extremes like hot or cold that paralyze our heaters or coolers by knocking out power.

The skeptics have their right to want proof. Same as I do. But if they just took a little more time to understand all the little, and not so little, barriers thrown up by Mother Nature they would see how hard proof of anything in nature is hard to get. There are some skeptics here who do understand and you rarely see posts by them automatically calling whatever fake or not possible.

They are the same skeptics who will actually spend time looking at so called proof and deciding if it might be something unknown before calling it junk without even looking at it. They keep an open mind because they know anything is possible if it can just be figured out.

    13. Like I said, skeptics want proof. Proof that can not be mistaken for anything. That means a body. I agree with wanting that undeniable proof. But instead of being a skeptic with an open mind, I am a believer who has an open mind that the majority of bigfoot "evidence" is crap. And call it as I see it. I got burned once, so I make sure I look very very close now. Will I get burned again? Maybe, but I doubt it.

Now, I have said before I have never seen a bigfoot. Not even a blur. I have had several incidents in the woods that I can't explain though. My story is on this site and the BFRO forums. So I won't make this post twice as long by retelling it. But I will say it is these WTF moments and the 1-3% of the other evidence found by others that makes me believe.

If you have ancient artwork, cave drawings, Native legends, that continue into modern times and add in unknown hair or dna samples, sightings by reliable people, and a few photos or videos that have not been proven fake by anyone who is unbiased either way, what do you get? An unknown and unproven. So instead of saying nothing exists like a skeptic, I say SOMETHING exists and based off descriptions and stories going back hundreds and thousands of years, it might just be bigfoot.

I am not trying to make an excuse for the lack of evidence really. I am stating what really happens in a forest. Have any of you found a recently dead animal or returned the carcass of an animal you harvested to the forest? I have. And in many cases, most of the carcass will be gone in a matter of days. I once returned a deer carcass to the forest to return the nutrients I couldn't use (bones, fat, tendon) so that other animals could use them. A week later, every bone was gone. I saw a small tuff of hair left on a branch, likely dropped by a bird using it to pad a winter nest. That happens to any dead thing in a healthy forest. Unless the animal was diseased, which seems to slow scavengers.

As for proof or STFU, what do you want me to prove? Bigfoot I can not, but the way forests clean up bones is easy. Take a fresh road kill, drive into a large forest, drop off the carcass. Come back every few days and see what is left. Then on how hard it is to find things in the forest try this. Take your car and drive ten miles into a huge mountain forest. Bring a map, compass, gps, cell phone, radios like a Talk About or CB, then walk into the forest without watching where you go. Go about an hour or two in. Spin around twice and then use all the fancy technology to get back to your car. But make sure you can use a map and compass because odds are pretty good nothing electronic will get you out even close to the car. Make sure you tell someone where you are going too, so search and rescue has a better chance of finding you before bone stage.

This experience will teach you just how hard it is to find anything in our forest. Now, if you are comfortable in the woods, like me, bring your camera and take a photo of a cougar for me. Better yet, make it two cougars in one year. Unless you know how to hunt a cougar, you can't do it. You can even ask avid hikers and hunters how many cougars and bears they have seen when not hunting them. Odds are pretty good a few will mention bigfoot too.

Like I said, I am not trying to make excuses, I am trying to explain how limited our ability is in understanding this world. How many tribes of people are found in the Amazon? Large mammals are found every year. I won't even get into insects or the oceans. I am just saying don't know what we might have running around this planet.

    15. Big Jim Jr, do you believe in the tooth fairy? There is more evidence to support it than bigfoot.

The prints have been proven time and time again to be made by man, not bigfoot. (yet footers keep calling them bigfoot evidence, despite this) No DNA or body, no unambiguous photos or video?

Yet bigfoot is allegedly sighted all over the place, by people in sometimes rural and sometimes not so rural places. How can this be? It's either elusive or not? right? How is it elusive if its throwing rocks at peoples cabins, or camps? Isnt that drawing attention to itself?

After so many sighting reports, and evidence claims, there is still a big fat 0 for bigfoot. This matches other creatures though... like leprechauns. chubacabra, the tooth fairy, ghosts, mermaids, unicorns, and all other mythical beings. All of them share these attributes as a social folk lore item. Nothing more.

The footers don't care about this. They want the dream kept alive at all costs. They will never admit its not there. "you cant prove its not!!!!" Well, that part may be true, but I can't prove leprechauns exist either. One of the best things I've discovered from this website is the JREF forums due to the crazy believers posts. As much as you all make fun of that site, I found it to be alarmingly more clear and accurate concerning these phenomenons. Maybe thats why the believers feel that they must try and belittle others that choose a logical and sane stance.

All the while, making excuse after excuse as to why there is no bigfoot, but there is. It is just sad, and lame. Consider me converted. Now I can see what a lie the whole bigfoot thing is. Maybe more of you should do as I did and actually read that JREF website. You just might learn something and you may find yourself changing stances just like myself.

I've observed this phenomenon for the past 44 years, and there is no other website that has more factual information concerning bigfoot. Too bad its not a bigfooter website. Just goes to show how dishonest most bigfooters are . They will do anything to try and con people into believing, to explain away the obvious. It doesnt matter how ridiculous the story is, such as bigfoot avoids all eletronics devices such as trail cams. OK, well why does it approach vehicles, and homes and campers? Elusive? Hardly. More like Illusion, made and kept by those unwilling to admit the truth.

      Delete
    16. How is there more proof of the tooth fairy? The tooth fairy is real, since anyone with kids who wants to continue the tradition, does. By putting money under pillows for kids teeth. Have there ever been photos of the tooth fairy? How about footprints? So using the same logic bigfoot is real because humans made it real. Right? By every single track, photo, hair, video, or sighting being carried out by humans.

How about the rare instances of hair, dna, or whatever that can't be proven what it is from. Sure, dna degrades or gets contaminated but there are still cases left of unknown. Why would a person go miles into forests to do a hoax of tracks? Humans are lazy. They are not going to walk miles into remote areas to prank. And hope someone might see thier prank. They are going to prank where it will be found.

You are throwing everything out because you are assuming there is no proof. Yet there is proof of tracks that couldn't be done by humans, dna and hair that does not match any known animal, and photos and video that many people say are fake, yet can not point a a single study by a non biased group. The skeptics refuse to say an unknown could be anything but human error. It has happened too many times to be error everytime.

For every unknown you call hoax and can provide skeptic based proof of hoax, I can provide proof it is not a hoax, but an unknown by believers and also support many with unbiased proof too. You can not accept only one side. That holds true for believers too.

Now, all claims about bigfoot are just that. Claims. No one knows more than a wild or educated wild guess on bigfoot. No one knows if they avoid cameras, homes, cars etc. All I know is they seem to act just like other creatures who live in the wild. They tend to avoid humans unless we spark something they find intersting. Same goes for bears and cougars. Most avoid people at all costs. Others get too close. Or eat fluffy. If you afe only going to say there is no possible chance bigfoot exists, you already found your blog site, JREF. If you want to be only a believer, the BFRO forum is your place to be. But both of those sites do not keep things up long that do not match their beliefs.

I have a challenge for everyone. Skeptic and believer. Post your proof. Then I will post a counter to it all. Since we already know that will never solve anything, you can do this too. Go out in the woods and learn about them. Learn how bones get used up. Try and find several bears and cougars in the wild. Heck try to find small game like raccoons, bobcats, coyotes, and possums in broad daylight without baiting them. Bit do this in the forests not on your computer.

    17. Big Jim Jr: You are not being honest with your argument, and your footer is shining through. You said:

"Yet there is proof of tracks that couldn't be done by humans, dna and hair that does not match any known animal, and photos and video that many people say are fake"

There is no proof of tracks that could't be done by humans. Prove your assertion.

There is no DNA or hair that doesnt match any known animal. (there are samples that could not be sequenced due to degradation, or due to fake hairs) Prove your assertion, once again.

All of the videos, and photos are either fake or misidentifcations. The simple truth is, after all these years of the folk legend, there is nothing but lies and cons. I guess you'd like to keep that going with your BFRO associates. The same ones that have made claims of observing bigfoots for 20 plus minutes, and even made cell phone calls during the "encounter" yet no one took a photo, or collected any evidence. Just like all bigfoot related things, all you have is a story, and some bogus crap.

You can play the game if you want, but you're not fooling anyone with half a brain. The rest, well they get fooled by fake footprints, and claims of DNA and hair and all sorts of things like you are suggesting is there (when in reality, its nothing to point towards "bigfoot")

You can cry fowl, but reality has a different set of rules than the bigfoot world.

    22. Sorry for delay, been busy. Anyway, here are a couple links about unknown animals, dna etc. This first link is not in any way bigfoot related It is a published article on the number of species on earth. It states that we have only found 12.27% of suspected animals on earth. That is animals only. Total number of suspected species on earth is around 8.74 million, 7.77 million are animal. Not fungi, protozoa, plants, etc. 7.77 MILLION ANIMALS of which 953,434 are known.

      http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/08/110823180459.htm

That leaves a lot of room for bigfoot. Next are two separate reports of unknown hairs found in China. Ot does not touch dna, only unknown hair.

      http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/90001/90782/7210877.html
      http://english.people.com.cn/90001/90782/7066196.html

I found articles on a 2001 report by British scientists of dna from hair that was an unknown species, NOT human or bear etc. There are also 2006, 2004 and some from the '90's all do not include the samples from the few TV shows that submitted dna samples that came back unknown. Not inconclusive, unknown. From scientists in China and the US, and from British and Danish scientists too. But all the links are on sites related to bigfoot and I know you will automatically throw it out as junk. So I will let you find the articles that debunk them but there are some of the years to look for.

As the Anon above, and I myself, have said, we need a body. Period.

  26. With having so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagiarism or
copyright infringement? My website has a lot of exclusive content I've either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my permission. Do you know any ways to help reduce content from being stolen? I'd really appreciate it.

  27. Woah! I'm really loving the template/theme of this site. It's simple, yet effective.
A lot of times it's challenging to get that "perfect balance" between superb usability and appearance. I must say you've done a great job with this.

In addition, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Safari.

    Excellent Blog!
