Watch this: Dr. Jeff Meldrum Discusses The Falcon Project And Dr. Sykes Bigfoot DNA [Bigfoot Discovery Days V]

During the Bigfoot Discovery Days V yesterday, we had the chance to interview Dr. Jeff Meldrum, an Associate Professor of Anatomy and Anthropology at Idaho State University, about the recent projects he's been involved in. Listen to what he had to say about the Falcon Project and Dr. Syke's Bigfoot DNA study.

  1. We're lucky to have Dr. Meldrum. Nice interview.

  2. So there you have it. Meldrum dismisses Ketchum's ideas as unprofessional rumors. He will have Sykes invalidate Ketchum's evidence. She wants them to be feral humans, and he wants them to be apes. Incompatible theories, or story lines. So he's going to have Sykes wipe her work away before the new year, and then go back to working the Gigantopithicus angle again, in peace.

    1. Well, that only works if Sykes' results so support that theory. Are we going to believe Dr. Sykes will report anything but actual results?

    2. But what Ketchum has is amazing and beautiful!

    3. Hybridization theories are definitely viable. We even have evidence of it coming into our line, in the DNA of non-African humans. Why not the reverse? Modern humans bred into other relic species?

Theoretically, any ape can mate with humans if the chromosomes align properly. We have one less chromosome than chimps, indicating a concatenation event sometime in the past six million years. Inside that window, cross-breeding is theoretically possible, given other realities of a live birth and upbringing.

    4. Meldrum's a religious man and may have personal motives for driving the ape wagon, sensible people have long abandoned that idea in favor of hominin because most serious evidence simply isn't pointing in the old world direction anymore and yet he still seems to push it, as does Ro both of them seemingly having romantic desires for an elusive wild ape in America but the idea of Giganto is unrealistic and foolishly childish today. And don't say the other options are crazy too because you'd not even be here then in the first place if there's nothing to any of this, the haters know there is or wouldn't care spimple as that. Anyway, Meldrum won't be voting for the Hawaiian guy something tells me that.

    5. Homo sapiens are "apes" we are members of the Great Ape family along with Gorillas, Chimpanzees and Orangutans. Did you miss the part where Dr. Meldrum mentioned his "null hypothesis", he is a scientist, he is not pushing an agenda he just wants to know WHAT they really are along with the rest of us who believe that the current evidence supports the reality of their existence. Dr. Sykes data will simply show what the samples he has tested are or are not, to the extent that said samples are not beyond testing due to contamination or degradation. In all likely hood he is testing samples that will in some cases come back as human, inconclusive and possibly one or more unknown species, he is testing samples from multiple continents and sources after all.

Dr. Meldrum does not control the results that Dr. Sykes testing produces, and neither does Dr. Sykes. That is the beauty of true science, the results will be what they are and can not be manipulated. Interpretations however can be manipulated and that seems to be the downfall of the Ketchum project. She may indeed have legitimate data, but if she is unable or unwilling to correctly interpret that data she owes it to all those who have in good faith submitted samples to her and funded her efforts to hand it over to legitimate academics who can do something constructive with her results.

  5. I have a question about the Falcon project and maybe if you read this you could ask Dr. Meldrum.
Will the FAA give this clearance to fly once it is ready. Once you file a flight plan and purpose are higher up officials going to say no. Anyone out here have any thoughts about this.

  11. Meldrum is a nice guy and a smart man BUT he is blinded by Momonism, which touts that MEN will become GODS in the "celestial kingdom". So, even if DNA proved bigfoot was closer to human than any other primate, he would still try to disprove because of his beliefs. Mormons are very arrogant, brain washed people who believe only what is allowed by their doctrine(s). And yes, they can be scientists but still believe (and have to) in creationism....

It's true. I used to live it.

    1. It is a pretty terrible and immature thing to generalize ALL members of a religion as "arrogant, brain washed people who believe only what is allowed". You are the one who is being narrow minded here. I don't believe you should bring religion into this. How do you know "he would still try to disprove because of his beliefs"? To speculate this on Meldrum is unfair. He is a true scientist (and a good Christian) and deserves more credit than that. Mormons are Christians, and no different in the fact that most Christians believe in creationism. Indeed if the thing called squatch ends up being more human than ape based on DNA evidence, that certainly may throw an interesting twist into the creationism theory. But to attack one's personal religious beliefs with the "Mormons are very..." comment is unacceptable.

    3. Nah, anon 9:32 has it right regarding the religion and beliefs.

    4. Anon 9:32 is correct, Meldrum keeps promoting and doing the ape dance when you'd have to be mad to seriously entertain the notion of thousands of wild roaming giant upright gorillalike nonhuman apes across America. It just doesn't make any sense and hold any water, he ought to be clever enough to see this so something else is on his mind.

    5. I have discussed Evolution with Dr. Meldrum, and believe me he believes in it 100% There is nothing about Evolution that excludes one from also believing in a Divinity or Spiritual Practice, that is a false dichotomy that the media and some fundamentalist religions like to perpetuate. Evolution is simply proven in our DNA, if you understand how genetics work or are willing to accept the validity of DNA evidence used for forensics, criminology and legal paternity cases but dismiss Evolution, then you simply do not understand the science behind them both and that they are one and the same.

I am a scientist, I have worked with hundreds of other scientists in my 18 year career. I have worked with Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, and people of just about every religion or spiritual belief possible. They have all believed in Evolution. To my knowledge not one scientist I have known or worked with was an atheist, agnostic or skeptical perhaps but there is nothing about the scientific laws behind genetics and Evolution that excludes the possibility that they are of Divine origin. To me the wonder and beauty of how the DNA helix works simply supports my spiritual beliefs.

Anyone who Dismisses Evolution out of hand as an affront to their "God" or belief system simply has not tried or does not want to understand the scientific facts and that it is based on.

The media misreports and misrepresents Evolution to perpetuate the division and misinterpretations instead of educating the population and sharing the truth, in simply the same fashion that they continue to treat anything related to Bigfoot as a joke and a hoax.

    6. You want to know why we don't know yet? Religion is the name of the main culprit, losing control the other. There's this I'm guessing Muslim guy (in Egypt?) who wants to behead Mars reseachers Richard Hoagland whose work apparently irritates religious fanatics, he revealed that in his latest(?) C2C interview.

The very thought alone of finding proof that maybe we came from elsewere and religion is made-up nonsense frightens all these fruitcakes of all faiths, think it only takes damn cartoons to challenge (conveniently labeled offending) many of these illiterate nitwits before mobs burn down embassies. This is undoubtedly why so much out of the box study is hampered and ridiculed because it challenges the ruling agenda and status quo of both science and social stability.

That is why we're still a good ways away from finding bigfoot and finding life on other planets they're in no hurry revealing anything, these painfully slow decades reaching giant steps that every new world important discovery takes is well planned. Too bad because they and some of us know already.

  12. Maybe that might be it. He gets tense when Ro asks that question about DNA. Dr. Meldrum probably knows by now there is good DNA evidence that points more towards Homo Sapiens rather than other hominids.

    1. Then why is he saying the opposite? I'm positive this species is real but apes no they're not, it's high time he stepped out of Krantz' dated shadow and into the real world.

  14. Wait till you have a cult member (Mormon) for president.... Then you'll all see for yourselves. Heck, Mitt will probably dispatch an army to go bomb the forests so as to NEVER prove the existence of bigfoot.

And BTW, I didn't get kicked out. I left of my own volition because that relegion is seriously messed up. Who says we can't talk about relegion here? It's relevant to Meldrum as it has GREAT influence on his life AND his beliefs.

Funny how suddenly the trolls unite to protect "relegion" but don't hesitate to bash on gay people, bigfoot believers, women, etc. The list goes on and on and on. Make up your fucking minds.
