M.K. Davis Talks About His Work And People Not Giving Him Proper Credit

Here at Bigfoot Evidence, properly attributing sources and letting people know where we first heard about it is paramount. It's a full-time job digging up stories to post, and it's annoying as hell when others take the work you put into finding the news items and present it as if they found it.

We can understand why M.K. Davis is feeling the way he's feeling right now. 10 years ago, he discovered some things in the Patterson-Gimlin film that were previously unknown to many people. The discovery of the bulging calf muscles on Patty and the other possible Bigfoots in the film were the results of years of blood, sweat and tears.

M.K. Davis recently stumbled onto an article containing some of his work. At the end of the article, none of it was attributed to him.

  1. Why don't you focus on finding bigfoot, instead of talking about getting credits for all the "hard work".

M.K. Davis, don't you think you look like a fool, when you talk about people not giving you enough credit? If you don't get "enough" credit, there is only one reason. You don't deserve it!

And when you ask for it yourself, that only makes you deserve it even less!

Stop trying to bring focus on yourself, and try to find bigfoot instead.. Then fuck what other people say, or what credits you might or might not deserve...

When you one day find bigfoot (if you havent died in you way of getting credit from the BF community), then you will get all the credits.. Trust me

So stop being such a pussy! Be a man for fuck sake!

    (My english such yes!)

    2. I don't think Davis is asking to be regarded well or is asking for respect in the general sense. He just wants it noted that it's his video work if someone chooses to use it.

    1. Shawn is a hoaxer.. It's old news

Instead of doing the bf field a favour, he is killing it, posting all this non-sense.

    2. Regardless of some of the things he analyses, he generally does good work. I think he should be credited for that.

    3. Is the label "hoaxer" the new way of saying I don't like what you do in the Bigfoot world? Whatever you may thing of his website, I'm pretty sure he hasn't hoaxed anything.

      Delete
    4. He supports the hoaxers, by posting their videos, making them get more attention.

So yes, he is a hoaxer

      Delete
    5. Nonsense. He made an editorial decision to post everything he can find on the web pertaining to bigfoot, and leaves it to the readers to decide the validity of the material and post their views in a free-speech comment section.
By accident or design this site became a hub and is an excellent source of information and leads.

    6. LMFAO! MK DAVIS knows exactly where all of these videos he's been analyzing came from. That didn't stop him from posting them and KNOWINGLY promoting a hoax. That makes MK Davis a hoaxer, period. He even deletes the questions about where these videos came from on his YouTube comments sections. So there's zero doubt that he knows they came from a KNOWN HOAXER. That my friends is the cold hard truth!

  4. I don't blame him. If I spent a lot of time working on something, I would hope that it would be noted when presented by someone else. I don't really think that it's unreasonable.

    1. I assume video editing when someone uses his work when putting out a video. If you go to the trouble of using a specialized technique to illustrate something, it's normal to expect a citation of some kind.

    2. As per wiki, he applied software and techniques used by observational astronomers to enhance the PGF. He gets plenty of credit for it, even though he has been surpassed by Munns.

  6. What is he talking about? I saw the blurry "white bigfoot" wearing a jacket and riding a bicycle trying to be passed off as a legitimate bigfoot.

If he's being doubted or ridiculed, he's getting the credit that he deserves.

  7. M.K. Davis is the only researcher I know of who realized some of the photos Mrs. Patterson has of Patti and 67' site don't sit well with the story Roger Patterson and his accomplice Grimly have portrayed.

Photos including what appears to be blood pools, dog tracks, and an exit wound on Patti's thigh. I wish he would re-present these findings before Grimly passes. I know BF'ers think of his as an uncle, but he's got some explaining to do before he passes.

    1. MK's great and important findings obviously deserve correct credit, but none sit well with either side of the bigfoot fence. The skeptics dislike it because it makes them look even more silly than they already do for pretending to think it's a suit, which Patty's not of course, and the Gimlin fans are upset for ruining their image of him that there might be, just might be, ulterior motives behind that day's events. That it wasn't the pleasant field trip on horses but actually unpleasant logging-backed work of removing pesty treehugging squatches from the area. Gimlin the tracker knew Roger had this hobby and a camera so he came along, and lo and behold got at least two we know of on film. Later edited and nicer tale of a week long trek was spun, can't say for sure it happened like that but the theory's realistic.

  9. Give us a break. Everyone knows he was the first to create an excellent enhanced version of the PGF. Credit is not the problem. The problem is the credibility and goodwill he has been squandering ever since( See anon 2:25 above or any "analysis" of a Sell's video).
BTW, Roger Patterson was the first to note muscle definition, although he may not have specifically mentioned the calf.

  10. The blog MK is talking about is yet another one that seems to want to take credit for old discoveries, and does not seem to know where ideas and information have come from originally. Attention to citation and due credit are important, and I am with MK on this one. He has done some very helpful work in the past, and deserves credit for that work and for the things he has seen in the film. Of course, some of those things he has "seen" are not really what he thinks they are, but that is not the point.

MK is the "only researcher who realized" certain things about the film (in regard to his often very odd theories) because those things are not really even there. He has imagined them, and created a bizarre story to match his fantasies.

    1. What things, the massacre ? Maybe not but everything else he's said and found in the footage is spot on like the butt crack, two different subjects, the toe movement, etc. Basically, that there's no question we're looking at the body of a real unknown humanoid.

  11. Although I think sometimes M.K.knows he is analyzing hoaxed video,I think he has a legit complaint here.
He puts his time and effort into these PGF ones only to have someone else claim credit, thats not right.
Also M.K.I hope you feel better soon and I thank you M.K.for your time.

  13. This is what happens when you watch fake videos 24/7 365 a year. You end up cuckoo begging for attention be given to you for something that isn't even real. What a sad way to go....Let this be a lesson footers. This could be you.

  14. I understand MK's issues. The man deserves a helluva lot of respect. He's not getting paid for what he does. He's examining videos from all over just so we can have the best view of these sightings and make our own decision about what is found. I give him my standing applause for not being like all the swinging dicks out there trying to use Bigfoot as an industry. He's the only person I trust right now in the entire field.

  16. If he deserved the respect for his work he would get it! The Bluff Creek Bigfoot massacre is a joke, he manipulated the colors using software enhancements. Much of the work on the Patterson/Gimlin film was completed way before he came along. I have seen first hand how he manipulates his enhancement software to change colors on the Patterson film to make the water look like blood. What a bunch of BULL!
