What if we found and captured a live Bigfoot?

I live in Spain where not a lot happens in the Bigfoot world, they are supposedly in Northern Spain but to be honest I doubt it. Living here has taught me one thing, most of the Spanish like to kill animals, they have very low regard for living creatures. This is why I concluded that even if there was an atom of truth behind the legends we would see their heads adorning the local bars wall or worse stuck in a ring with a man fighting it until one of them dies.

I think if Bigfoot did once exist here it has sadly long gone, I am sure of that given the amount of hikers and tourists who walk the huge parks and report nothing. Bigfoot in Spain I fear is now but a fireside tale to tell the grandchildren on a cold night. I hope I will some day be proven wrong though, we shall see.

I often ponder the question, would Bigfoot have a chance in a country like this?-- animal cruelty laws are flimsy at best and often ignored, some animals such as farm stock have no rights at all. So where would a Bigfoot fall in all of this? Here in Spain I doubt they would have a chance but in America, Canada, Russia or China, I feel that they would.

America and Canada may have its hunters but it does not have the history of animal abuse like Spain does. Within time I think they´d sort the protection out for them and everything would be like it always has been. China may also be an animal abusive country like Spain, but they have a deep rooted belief system and to them the Bigfoot would be sacred, so I think it would fair well there as long as poachers were kept an eye on. Tibet has already deemed the Yeti to be a protected species so maybe we could fly them all over there for an extended holiday?

Now Russia, I just see that as a country that would say “Ah yesssss, vee already know about Bigfoot, is no problem, is free in mountains” then they´d go back to drinking their vodka. Anywhere else I think it would be subject to poachers and people trying to make a quick buck.

If it was found, what would it mean to you?

I know for me it would be a deeply sad thing, I´d just be worried for its safety and mourn the death of the mystery. I like believing in magical mystical creatures, creatures that are just beyond our reach. It makes life a little less boring, I adore watching my grandsons face light up when I tell him about mythical creatures, strange precious creatures like Bigfoot. Children need a little magic in their lives and in this day and age they get less and less.

For some finding Bigfoot, proving its existence will mean a life long search coming to an end. Some will cash in and write books, while nodding to the sceptics and saying “We told you so”, some will get their guns. Others will feel the need to commune with this wonderful beast seeing it as the ultimate in mother natures wild and free spirits. Heads of logging companies will be banging their heads on their desks wondering if they will be able to continue to lay waste to the Bigfoot lands. The scientific community will be scuttling around like busy little dung beetles, testing this and analysing that.

The biggest and best zoos will be counting their pennies seeing if they can afford to buy one so they cage it and lure the people in, to rudely spy on this very private animal. Hunters will be making spaces on their walls, cleaning their guns. The list is endless, so many things could and will happen.

But one thing I am certain of is this, people like you and I, the true believers in Bigfoot will just sit quietly amazed, wishing that the animal, who we have all been interested in for so many years will be all right. All hoping that in time the dust will settle around the feet of this majestic half man, all still willing to learn more, trying our hardest to make sure that Big Foot remains free and unharmed forever. Bigfoot researchers and believers united in one important task.
