This Trailer For "The Lost Coast Tapes" Looks 100 Times Better Than The Syfy Bigfoot Movie
After that horrible Syfy original movie, "Bigfoot", are you dying for another Bigfoot movie? Here's the official trailer for "The Lost Coast Tapes"-- coming soon.
Sean Reynolds, an eager television host, is on a mission to debunk famed Bigfoot hunter Carl Drybeck, who claims to possess the body of a dead Sasquatch. When the team arrives in Northern California, they are immediately thrilled -- Drybeck's zealous belief in his hoax is going to make for a wildly entertaining episode of campy-paranormal television.
However, when Drybeck's hunting partner is mysteriously attacked, the team is left alone, and reality begins to set in. The evidence is stacking up, Drybeck's theory may not be a hoax, and the existence of Bigfoot might just be the least of their worries.

Why do the movies make all Sasquatch into insane murderers, or Harry and the Henderson's type? Most are shy and retiring, and just want to be left alone. Movies like this are going to scare people to death should they encounter a BF while hiking.
ReplyDeleteWho in the blue hell would pay to see Sasquatch hiding behind a tree? I mean if its not killing insanely hot chicks or being a dumbass and sticking its head through a refrigerator door than why in the hell would I watch that lame POS.
DeleteLinda's right, this is so stupid it's not even funny anymore. Only a total moron could laugh or shiver at this film, it looks exactly like the garbage it is and sends all the wrong signals. Why does Hollywood always need to turn it into crazy monsters when the species isn't even an animal but elusive primal forest folks, there's not one bit of truth to these flicks and show the short attention span America at its worst.
DeleteI think that it's going to be a great movie it's like boggy creek! Please keep us up to date on when it will be released to tv!
ReplyDeletei love the trailer for this movie i cant wait for this movie
ReplyDeleteto come out looks good
Yeah it's made for kids alright.
DeleteI've seen other episodes of these......this is all made up fake footage. Basically a waste of time.
ReplyDeleteYour thinking of the animal planet series "Lost Tapes" although this is similar, it is not the same thing. Also, this is a trailer for a fiction movie, not a mockumentary acting as if it has real footage. So you might as well be saying "Just so you know, the Titanic movie is made up of footage filmed decades after the event. You guys are so gullible."
DeleteIts a fake movie , it's not based on any real event, period. Basically a waste, the end.
DeleteIt's total crap yes even unseen. If Hollywood wants to make realistic worthwhile Bigfoot movies, why don't they tackle some of the famous stories like Fred Beck or Albert Ostman and actually produce something meaningful and interesting. Instead all they can think of is the same old creature splatter.
DeleteDid anyone see "Return to Boggy Creek" that came out last year? Horrible. Why do they insist on making Bigfoot a killer? In this movie, there were a whole bunch of 'em killing. At the end, the cute little girl was taken away by a Bigfoot. She was dragged away trying to call her Mom. There was something about her that she had experiences with Bigfoot when she was a little girl and kept thinking about it. The Bigfoots looked stupid too. One looked like he was balding and needed Rogaine or HairClub for Men for some new folicles. All with fangs too!
ReplyDeleteI could make a great Bigfoot movie looking at all the crap that is out there!
What about Lost Woods?
ReplyDeleteLost Woods looks just as bad as the Sci Fy Bigfoot! Madone!!!
ReplyDeleteThis trailer looks way better than that other movie. It had me hooked from the start and I'd love to watch it.
ReplyDeleteI would watch this movie for entertainment value because it looks suspenseful.
Linda, that's television for you. They're in the entertainment business, not education. That's the impression I get from what's out there in T.V. land. Whatever happened to the Jacques Cousteau and Marlin Perkins type shows?
I would watch this movie for entertainment value because it looks suspenseful.
Just my opinion.
You would, wouldn't you.
DeleteThis movie really feels like it has been done before, in different contexts. Same basic plot line. Different marauders. It is spawn of the Blair Witch fad, but 10 years too late.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!! Let the movies begin!
ReplyDeleteThis movie is a movie meant to entertain. At the same time we made sure that authenticity and respect to the Bigfoot legend was a first priority. Without giving the movie away, I will say that we did much research and even had BOBO from Finding Bigfoot as our advisor. With that said we tried to walk the line between authenticity and entertainment as well as we could. Knowing this, you will see why we made the choices we did story wise to achieve this. I don't think Bigfoot enthusiast will be upset with what we did. Remember the trailer is to hook you. See the movie and you be the judge.
ReplyDeleteWhat about horror enthusiasts? Did you think of them before you ripped of Blair Witch? Try coming up with something original for once. I'll still watch it though..gerr.
DeleteThe only thing similar to Blair Witch is the POV genre. I personally wasn't a fan of BW... I shoot traditional style movies so the limitations on shots that comes with POV didn't interest me. Also I wanted a defined story, not improv. I like to actually see composition. This movie was shot to look POV but was blocked in a way that you are watching composed shots as in a actual movie. Therefore the the whole jittering camera thing isn't a distraction... Also the choice of it being done POV was created by the writers and I felt that after reading the script, it was the most effective way to tell this story. I said I only woud do it POV if we could shoot it well. More of a cross between POV and TRADITIONAL style. We don't want you to believe it's actually real. it's 2012.. That joke was over in 2000. We want you to feel that you are actually along with these characters on a journey. This is a story, what genre it falls in is up to the viewer. Art is subjective. Some people will love it somebody will hate it, but everyone has a right to a opinion.
DeleteI never comment to the public about my work on blogs , However my first allegiance is to the Bigfoot community which is why I've replied here. I for one am a believer in Bigfoot and being on location in HUMBOLDT COUNTY and meeting with the residents opened my eyes even more.
Thanks to all who will support the movie...
