ReplyDeleteWhy not? Stranger evolutionary paths have been forged - playtpus or kangaroo anyone? Perhaps there was an isolating event or even accidental divergence with conditions that made this path favorable. We know virtually nothing about them - no one can say with certainty that they don't use tools.

Suddenly? Some populations of H. heidelbergensis contained individuals over 7 ft tall. And we have no idea what they really looked like. We heavily use anthropomorphism when recreating what we believe early hominids to have looked like. For all we know they could have been hair covered, especially since hair isn't fossilized.

Thats funny I don't ever recall saying it wasn't Australopithecus nor did I state that they are conclusively in the genus homo. I only said that heidelbergensis populations contained individuals over 7ft tall. And WE DON'T have any idea about what they really looked like. Its all speculation. It could very well be Australopethicus-all we can do is speculate at this point and even if a specimen is produced we still may not even know. That doesnt mean that the super predator theory is incorrect. It also shows that you don't have evidence to back up your premise.

Whether it was right or not isnt in question, is everyone has their own opinion, but everyone who has analyzed that sample so far has all stated its not from a known animal, like Meldrums initial assertion that it was probably just a coyote. It may look like that, but that doesnt mean thats what it is. The fact is that Justin has been truthful regardless of all the B.S, at least up until the part about the recovery. Of which, im still on the fence as to if the whole bodies were found. It was to much for me to endure so I had to turn it off. I'm glad my kids weren't watching it. They love Bigfoot, even though they are scared to death of it and can't sleep near a window, for fear that Bigfoot will reach in and grab them when they're sleeping.
