TBRC: Photographs of a Possible Unrecognized Bipedal Hominoid From Oklahoma

Alton Higgins, a wildlife biologist, and member of the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy recently submitted an article to The Relic Hominoid Inquiry website, created by Dr. Jeff Meldrum. The article contains an investigation of two wood ape photos from Central Oklahoma. The photos were taken by Russell Lumpmouth, a member of the Arapaho tribe, in November 2000 during an outdoor tribal function. According to Lumpmouth, an office secretary felt the photos were so disturbing that she deleted the files from her computer. The only copies left are some scanned copies that were printed on high quality 8×10 photo paper.

TBRC's Alton Higgins writes:

Oklahoma has a long record of sightings of large apelike creatures resembling what people often refer to as the sasquatch or Bigfoot. Most of these accounts originate in the mountainous eastern areas of the state; however, sightings are also affiliated with locations along or near Oklahoma’s major rivers. One such area with a history of accounts pertaining to mysterious manlike creatures is the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribal trust lands in Canadian County, located west of Oklahoma City.

In November 2000 Russell Lumpmouth, a member of the Arapaho tribe, took two photographs that appear to feature a sasquatch-like figure. According to his account, he and several co-workers were cleaning up after an outdoor tribal function. His supervisor walked over a short distance from their vehicles to pose for a picture with a piece of litter seen lying on the ground. Lumpmouth followed with a borrowed digital camera. As he looked through the viewfinder and took the picture, he noted the appearance of a dark object in the background, visible through gaps in the foliage that aligned from his position. Advancing a step or two out of curiosity, he took a second picture as the subject turned and departed. The men did not initiate a pursuit. The photos were printed on high quality 8×10 photo paper. According to Lumpmouth, the office secretary said the images disturbed her and the files were deleted from the computer. Higgins corroborated this description of events during on-site visits and conversations (Higgins, 2004). Further details regarding area investigations are available online via the “Sasquatch on the Oklahoma Prairie” interview available here (MP3).

  3. The first and third pictures I can not tell much. The creature in the first picture looks absoulutely huge. We could get some perspective if we knew how high the prairrie type grass is. The fourth picture is a comparison with the Patterson/Gimlin creature and similarities abound. Digital cameras in 2000 did not have great a lot of pixels like today, but not bad here.

  5. Dr. Meldrum's "Relict Homind Inquiry," so far shows just one research paper, by Kathy Strain on Hairyman Pictographs.

It will be interesting to see this website/online Journal develope and if this submission is accepted.

I think we need a serious venue and who better than Dr. Meldrum to begin.

The standards seem within reach of many in the field.
And, I see now a very long list of well qualified editorial board members.

This effort is good news for us all really. But, I did notice, this peek is in advance of review, but submitted. Humm? LOL!!

I hope we see many more submissions.

  6. These photos were not given to the TBRC. They were given to Alton as a representative of the BFRO, at the time. Alton was the point-of-contact for Oklahoma.

Of course, the TBRC did their own thing, and eventually came out of the closet for being pro-kill.

Needless to say, the native tribe that provided the photos to Alton back when he was a BFRO investigator, would not even allow him on their land if this incident happened more recently.

    2. No. I don't see a hood on a face, nor do I see a gorilla costume, etc. The photo is not clear enough to shout "saquatch" but it is clear enough to see that this huge figure isn't simply Andre the Giant coming back from the grave wearing a hoodie. What ever (or whomever) this is, they are huge and heavy set and wearing a fur suit.

    3. Haven't you noticed? Those "critical thinking" intellects have trouble seeing. They mistake everything for a person wearing a hoodie. The "critical thinkers" babble on and on about blobsquatch this and that, yet they have poor vision and intelligence; So, everything looks unfocused to them. 3. I think "Patty" was pregnant given her girth and enormous breasts, and her uniwllingness to run. She was either leaving behind something she didn't want to, or just couldn't move too fast safely. The PG massacre theory arose b/c all is not right with the story from that week, and anytime things don't add up people look for explanations. This could be a pregnant Bigfoot, or just fat, or malnutrition.
the struggle is the lack of orginal negatives/or digital file. 10 years ago using a digital was leading edge, so that sounds odd also, in that many consumers were still on emulsion film with negatives.

  13. It very well could be a photo of a real Sasquatch. But, it's just to blurry to make any definite conclusions. We need long (10-15 mintues), HD, crystal clear footage in broad daylight with the photographer placing the camera on a tripod. That is the only type of footage we should even consider, because when it comes to blurry photos and videos, they're a dime a dozen.

  18. A friend of mine was privey to the investigation of these photos. They went to the location and used a stand in for where the bigfoot was and shot a photo from where the photograper was. The stand in was 6'-6". Based on the estimates the BF is around 10' tall. This same one has been sighted around that area many times. This is the real deal folks.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Should be pretty easy to get some clear photos and videos then.

    2. I can maybe believe that based on how much taller it is than the grass which I estimate at least 3 foot maybe four and it only comes to its knees.
From the pictures I'm not sure you can get an accurate measure of where the stand in should stand, however it is quite clear if you just know the height of the grass which should be easy to find out.

When I look at this creature I'm seeing at least 8 foot, hardly a man stuffed into a suit. Ask your friend for me if possible.

      Thanks
      Chuck

      Delete
    3. Or it could be standing on a small bank we cannot see due to the grass.

As for it being the "real deal", i am also privey to the investiagtions of these photos. The stand-in was 5.8ft tall and estimated height is only 6.6ft as there was a bank which suggests it is not so tall as it appears.

I don't have any names or pics or videos to back this claim of how i know, do you?

Either the same large fat guy is wearing the same costume all over the country over multiple years..or these creatures pack on allot of body fat to survive the winter..like many large North American mammals. Yes the photos suck..like most..but I am seeing the same body shape over and over. The recent cell phone footage from the PNW, the Freeman photo and now this photo and all have a rather fat Sasquatch in them. Or perhaps, Sasquatch has succumbed to the American obesity epidemic..I have found empty big gulps deep in the woods..thirsty hunter?..I think not!

Tell 90% of a 100% bullshit story then the sheeple will fill in remaining 10% with thier own ideas/imagination/conjecture and the sum of this = Hoax which can then be converted into a product that will remove the fleece from said sheeples. Rinse/repeat.
