Spiritual Nature of Culture vs. Misguided Fantasy

Editor’s Note: This is a guest post by Tom Fonner. He has been exploring the backcountry of Arizona for over 30 years. He enjoys the solitude and peace of the outdoors with a passion for wildlife, nature, and landscape photography, tracking, hiking, camping, and fishing. You can visit his blog at swbri.blogspot.com.

There have been many accounts of individuals claiming a telepathic relationship with Sasquatch that reflects a new age, psychic, and mystical belief system. This view is controversial and most often rejected by mainstream thinking. Some individuals may truly believe in the possibility of a telepathic relationship with Sasquatch though actual accounts may be more in line with fantasy than reality.

There is a stark difference between misguided fantasies that are present with those consumed by new age mystical views, and the cultural beliefs of Native Americans that are based on spiritual relationships with nature. These vastly different points of view should remain separate when discussed or debated. Those that attempt to compare these, or group the two together, in any discussion should consider the vast difference of true spiritual beliefs and as I stated previously, misguided fantasies.

There is no scientific evidence, that I'm aware of, supporting telepathic communication between humans or humans and animals. An understanding of communication in general will help most people recognize the impossibility of telepathic communications between Sasquatch and humans. If you are monolingual with English being your primary language, then you would not be able to have a conversation with another individual who's primary language is Chinese. Our thoughts are language based. If telepathic communication was possible, then this would only occur between individuals who spoke the same language. Communication with Sasquatch would be impossible on two levels. First telepathy alone is not possible by our current understanding of human cognitive capabilities, and Sasquatch is not likely to have a highly developed language such as English.

Conversations, discussions, or any debate that reflects the cultural and spiritual beliefs of the indigenous peoples of North America should include input from those being discussed. Those of us who have not been raised in, or have studied, these cultures should refrain from criticisms based on unfounded assumptions. Showing respect for anyone's culture and/or spiritual beliefs may provide us the opportunity to learn and grow as individuals as well as a community with a common agenda.

  1. One of the first people to believe in psychic abilities among Sasquatch was Datus Perry. He also claim to have not one, not two, but 12 sightings.....

    1. Jonathan, so what is your opinion on the work of Kewaunee Lapseritis? I just finished reading 'The Sasquatch People And Their Interdimensional Connection' interesting read to say the least.

    2. I have never read his book, but I'm not impressed when any investigator claims their theories as fact. I'm open-minded to the possibility of Sasquatch having a UFO/Inter-Dimensional/Psychic connection, but I think we should leave it at that. A possibility, but not a fact. Same goes for calling the Sasquatch human, it's possible, but not proven.

  2. Maybe there aren't any published scientific studies proving the existence of telepathic communication but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

    1. If you have no evidence to prove your claims, they do not exist.... Nobody has demonstrated telepathic ability in a scientific setting, even with the prize of one million bucks for anyone who can. It's just not true. telepathy does not exist between humans.

    2. Clueless fools. Lol. Kathy your comment is right on. These fools would rather debate than understand there is much more to physics and Gods creation than they can fathom. If things were that basic we wouldn't have all the black ops programs. It's no wonder the economic hit men can rob this country blind. People in this country are ultra stupid. Run along neophytes. 3. Alex, do you always sign your posts? Some people think you often anonymously attack other people, especially SWP. I commented once before that I noticed you sign your posts, but I still see anonymous comments being attributed to you. I would also add that you posted a video, which Shawn showed here, when you had something to say. There are plenty of unsigned attacks here in the mosh pit, so I am not saying that you are obligated to clear the air. Just letting you know that
some quotes are being attributed to you.

    4. You obviously buy into any old silly conspiracy theory that comes around without any critical thinking. The CIA's program was abandoned due to lack of any evidence that it worked above the statistical level of chance. If you have evidence for telepathy, go present it and win a million bucks. Seeing how nobody has pulled this off yet, I think the null hypothesis of "telepathy doesn't exist" still stands as correct.

    5. There you have it people. There are Leprechauns riding poca-dotted Unicorns on the Dark Side of the Moon. Just because we can't prove it, doesn't mean they're aren't Leprechauns riding poca-dotted Unicorns on the Darkside of the Moon. No wonder people are swindled out of their life savings by criminals. Its like shooting fish in a barrel.

    6. Anonymous 426 I have proved it to myself time and again. As for the gov knowing it exists, the us army contracted to have synthetic telepathy developed using nanotech in 2007. The remote viewing programs are well documented. If the gov thought it didn't exist they wouldn't have contracted to have synthetic telepathy developed for the battlefield. So much more documentation that I won't go into here. Like I said before, folks that quote that bs above aren't terribly intelligent. You just demonstrate your ignorance. Funny thing is that you don't sign your name to formally earmark your ignorance. Alex MW

  7. Tom I have always thought that Infrasound might be a contributing factor to some of the experiences people report.

I find too often people will scoff at the idea but research has proven all kinds of effects it has.

Just as whales, dolphins and elephants communicate with infrasound why couldn't Bigfoot? These sounds cannot be heard by us but they can be felt subconsciously which leads to anxiety, wariness, fear or overall feeling sick, hearing voices even.

Before one discounts this it'd be a good idea to research it or at least look at some of the research below. Even Cliff Barakman discusses this and his experience with it.

  9. A culture enriched nature provides a great feeling of spirituality. It can increase your inner psychic abilities and powers. To be mere concise, anybody can say that it is wholly different from the misguided fantasies.

  10. There is alot a heck of a lot of evidnece for human to human and human to animal telepathy and most pertinently telepathy certainly can and will transcend language incompatibility .
