Bigfoot Lunch Club reported this morning that Dr. Jeff Meldrum of Idaho State, and Dr. Bryan Sykes of Oxford University, is currently working on a "a parallel Sasquatch DNA research". Who is Bryan Syke, you ask?:
"Bryan Sykes is professor of human genetics at Oxford University. His company, Oxford Ancestors, traces human genetic backgrounds. Sykes's books include the New York Times best-selling The Seven Daughters of Eve."
According to Guy Edwards, the president of Bigfootology, Rhettman Mullis Jr., said that they were also participating in the project. Edwards cites a discussion from Steven Streufert's Facebook page where Rhettman spilled the beans about the project:
Guy, yes, and depending on the outcome we may ask Dr. Sykes to become an official member of Team Bigfootology. We asked Meldrum and Bindernagel last year but they chose to remain neutral at the time, even though Dr. Anna Nekaris accepted the offer. We were approached to do this project by Dr. Sykes through Dr. Anna Nekaris, who is our United Kingdom Bigfootology representative. They are currently filming a pilot show right now. There are two different things happening. Dr. Sykes is writing a book on the findings and their invitation for us to be a part of this project is the equivalent of having Dr. Stephen Hawkings ask to help identify a new star, or Einstein asking us to be a part of developing quantum-mechanic theories. We are honored and privileged to be included. So Dr. Sykes will write his book, but they are also filming a documentary that will be three one hour shows about the event. Soon we will be asking for DNA samples from all over the world and Bigfootology will assist in the accumulation of those samples. We are also in the process of reaching out to some known hybrid-offspring of human and Bigfoot joining. Because this work is being done by scientists using scientific method and Bigfootology being the only actual scientific organization, the outcomes will not be questioned or doubted critically, because the scientists involved are at the top of their field. It is a very exciting time and we are awaiting our next marching orders from Sykes through Dr. Nekaris, when that happens we will make a formal announcement and really get things moving. We have been working on this project behind the scenes, quietly, for about 3 months now, so regardless of what other DNA projects find, their work will either be validated or invalidated by Sykes outcomes.

I had samples but they went to another researcher before we got invited to be a part of this project. I have met two people in my time of doing this who claimed to be a joining of Bigfoot and a human (Native American) and looking at them there was little to cast doubt on their claim. We are aware of one such person living in Eastern Washington and we are attempting to find this person to acquire samples from him. We have team members all across the United States, Anna is handling samples out of Asia, we are hoping to get samples out of Russia from Igor Burtsev, who is also a member of Team Bigfootology, as well as our team members in Australia. We are hoping to acquire samples around the world which would also put to rest any possible local or regional anomaly. The great thing about Sykes is that he specializes in relic samples, and contaminated samples.

DeleteI had to go to other sites to make sure what I am reading is real. Seems it is so. This is pretty big news. There are credentialed folks all over the place here, and if it is done right. Well we will see. Glad to see Dr. Anna Nekaris onboard also. Besides being easy on the eyes, I feel she just carriers herself with a certain air of confidence and knows the right things to say. I had a feeling Dr. Meldrum would try to cook up something along these lines, but this is more far reaching than I would have thought going across the world. I have never heard any kind of modern news about a Bigfoot, human hybrid, only older stories. I sure would like to get some more info. about this. I imagine we will be hearing of other heavy hitters involved soon, or maybe they will just keep wraps on this project until complete and I would suggest such an approach.

In June 2009 when I had about 150 subs and had not had a comment in days, I posted a seven minute video in which I posted a photo on the very end of a Photoshop image of a burnt tree that looked like Bigfoot. The video got 64 views on a slow weekend. According to YouTube stats 98% of the people that watched the vid ever made it to the end. The video was up for about 36 hours. I did it to see if anyone was paying attention. At no time on the video did I ever mention it or claim I was videotaping a Skunkape. It was a Easter egg I put at the end.

DeleteThere are also programs that allow a site owner to ban entire banks of IP addresses. So unless you are planning to make significant geographic moves, you are still sol. Now a good hacker might be able to circumvent these programs, but a good hacker doesn't announce his intentions to Earth like you did.
And just saying you intend to commit malice and intentionally spam a Bigfoot blog (of all things), well if you are not quite stupid, then you are certainly mentally ill. Seek immediate medical attention.

If someone wants to throw down their own money to do something, who is it to you? I am sure that you have paid to watch a movie, go to a ballgame, etc. (Maybe not based on some of your comments) But my point is this; entertainment is what it is. If I want to shell out $150.00 to see the Steelers play, what am I getting in return? Answer: Absolutely nothing other than the entertainment aspect. No different with a BFRO expedition. DeleteSay what you want about Meldrum (I don't agree with every thought or theory he has either) but one thing about him is that I've NEVER witnessed him trying to construe evidence to support his theories or claims. What I mean is: when and if he's wrong about something, you can just about guarantee he genuinely believes what he's saying. There are very little of those people in this field and its refreshing to have a "straight shooter" speak his mind on the subject.
