Bigfoot Caught On Film Ten Years After Patterson-Gimlin Film

On the 7th of October, 1977, Frank White and his wife, Lorraine, were in the Mt. Baker region of Washington state filming movies of the scenic fall colours when Lorraine suddenly shouted "There's a bear!". Without much hesitation, Frank quickly trained his 8mm camera on what he called "A North American Ape", something that was completely different from a bear. The film clearly shows an erect creature walking through the dense brush.

Whilst retreating from the humans, the creature turned back to look at them, twice, the second glare was a menacing stare. They took the aggresive facial expressions on the creature as a warning to get out of there, and fast! Mr. White, the vice president of the Scientific Progress Association (an organization which serves to promote interest in scientific developments), gave a public showing of the film on October 16th at the University of British Columbia. Unfortunately, this film is more than obscure. In fact, the average Bigfooter has no knowledge of this particular film. No known copies of this film have been released to the public (although some researchers believe it may have been shown in the 1978 film 'The Force Beyond).

But why? Well, this film was supposedly better in clarity and quality than the Patterson-Gimlin film that was taken ten years prior. This was not something Rene Dahinden wanted to hear, seeing as he owned some of the rights to the Patterson-Gimlin film. So could Dahinden have taken action and put an end to the short-lived publicity of this film? Who knows. The film will most likely never be released seeing as how the White's were described as elderly at the time and the film was probably thrown out after their pressumed death.

And for the record, I deny the allegation that the film was shown in 'The Force Beyond', mainly because the creature in the film does not match up with the creature in White's film (a single still has been released) and the photographer of that film was described as an anonymous attorney, not as Frank White, the vice-president of the Scientific Progress Association.
