Watch MNBRT's Abe, Show How To Properly Setup Food Station And Camera Trap

Ever wonder how professionals setup food stations and camera traps? When you're setting up these things, it is important to remember that you're trying to collect evidence. In this video, you'll notice that Abe is wearing gloves. This makes sure he doesn't leave his finger prints on anything. Just like an investigator at a crime scene, the goal is not to contaminate the evidence.

Abe tells us that animals are known to mess around with game cameras by moving them. He's hoping that whatever touches the camera will leave some sort of evidence-- like finger prints.

The food station is also specially made to collect evidence such as finger prints and hair.

  1. They know how to unscrew a jar?????? Tony used a pressure fit type top - like a cork or a coffee tin etc so they can pull down to get to the contents. Good luck with that screw design - probably end up as a smashed container or a missing one, lol!.

    2. I've had'em unscrew peanut butter jars, empty them, and screw the lid back on. Yes, it would seem some are smart enough to unscrew the jar. A bear or raccoon would just chew it up.

And of course it was at camp settings with no camera on. Never with a cmaera. Maybe the mirror thing with work since the guy with the white BF is having luck with it.

    3. Can't hurt to try a mirror if you can keep the sun off it.

  4. This is all good stuff, but I have tried all this and more and they have defeated these methods every time. I have obtained some palm prints, and hair but the will cover the lens of the camera or pull the cameras off the trees. When I have hidden the cameras they will promptly find them place objects in front of them, or worse. I have used the 360 camera trap and when you do that they just leave the bait alone regardless of how tempting it is. They are VERY SMART...

  5. If this is so damn effective then where are the pictures????

  6. I have to agree with most of the preceding posters, in that, if these are the professionals. And this is how the professionals or even quasi-experts do it.
Where pray tell, are all of the professional and expert results?
I agree that these are probably the basics as to how it should probably be done. But it seems that nothing produces any real evidence or captures anything in images.
As always...It's all just speculation. Nothing we've done with camera traps and bait seem to entice Sasquatch into sitting down and enjoying the party.

  7. Perhaps the author had a wrong choice of words, but there are no professionals or experts when it comes to Bigfoot.

  8. I have to agree. These so called experts seem to only have the skills to win a candle sniffing contest. I personally feel the only "experts" on BF thus far are those who have had actual up close class A encounters or those unfortunate souls who got a fleeting glimpse prior to being ripped to shreds.
