Richard Stubstad is now a part of THE AZCRO team. AZCRO will consult with him and he will be a part of all investigations past, present and future

When we initially reported the Java Bob story we did not know that this would bring about an event which would bring together old friends and bring closure to unfortunate events that strained relationships with the players involved from the beginning in Melba Ketchum’s Bigfoot DNA study. Last week I was contacted by Alex Hearn, Founder and CEO of The AZCRO (Arizona Cryptozoological Research Organization), who spoke about Java Bob and Richard Stubstad.

Alex explained that Dr. Melba Ketchum had requested that he speak to me about Richard Stubstad and about the position Melba is in because of my article and the Java Bob interview. Alex said that Melba wanted us to know that she is not the villain in this. The interview tends to put her in a bad light because it doesn't include her side.

Mr. Hearn stated that he spoke with Stubstad and that he was not actually weeks away from dying as Ro Sahebi was told by Java Bob and stated in the report he gave to me; Ro will be doing an intimate interview with Mr. Stubstad this week and confirm the actual state of Richard’s health. Alex did state: “He didn't sound as good as the last time I spoke to him... All I have ever done since I got involved with this study is bring people together. I guess I'm pretty lucky to get to do it again. Hope it works out with Richard.”

Alex while speaking with me also stated: “It brought me to tears when Richard said he loved me. This is a very good day for me too, and you're the only one I told so far... haven't even told Larry and Jeff yet.”

The following day, I again spoke with Alex and this is what he stated: “I just got permission from Melba and from Richard to list Richard as part of the AZCRO on my Website... It sounded as if it brought Richard to tears, and I was already there.”

He will be listed as member of the AZCRO organization. Below is the official announcement as posted on the AZCRO website.

Announcing our new association with Richard Stubstad. Richard will be re-viewing past and future findings of the AZCRO and Friends. As you know Richard has been very helpful to us in the past. Richard and I both decided to put our money where our mouth is for the good of this new species and work together as much as time and life will allow. Thank you for this great opportunity and honor Richard! Welcome to the AZCRO TEAM of friends.

“Get Well Soon! You don't think we want you to get away do you? Best of luck, Alex Hearn.”

As for Java Bob-- Alex explained he also had a 4-5 hour conversation over phone with him. These are his words about what happened when he also tried to bridge the gap of discord with Bob.

Alex Hearn:

“He didn't make any sense, he really just spewed hatred for Melba…He can't answer, he denies or confuses most of my questions, and when I corner him he plays really dumb~~~like I'm talking about a different time?”

Damian Bravo:

“On Java Bob, It is a shame he is still reacting to you that way, did he say why he is so angry at Melba?”

Alex Hearn:

“Yeah because he feels she ripped him off... I guess he thought he was going to get 15-30% because he set up the LLC that the 3 of them were in? Bob has no value to the study; he thought he was going to be the big business man, like with Biscardi...”

“Most people don't need someone to do that for them... That's what an agent is for... Biscardi lets Bob or someone do it, because he's never going to pay them any ways...”

“Bob should be mad at Biscardi only, not Melba...”

“He admitted to me that she was involved in this before he met her. Which means just like I thought; he was trying to move in and get some credit... Talk to him and read between the lines...”

“He also basically won't even admit any wrong doing what so ever...”

“Even when I'm throwing him a bone and saying you can be part of this like you always should have been, he doesn't bite. He doesn't deserve any money...and we are not getting any...”

“It's not his science, it's Melba's? Even Richard with his analysis, he's not a DNA educated scientist, so he is just basically helping like a little kid would help his mom bake a cake...”

“He (Java Bob) doesn't bite... Even though he says all he wants is recognition (not sure for what?) he doesn't bite at the chance to get his equal share of recognition…”

“He basically says it is Larry’s fault for not telling him he was working with me, when Bob approached him... If he wasn't stealing my research he was stealing from Biscardi... He just thought it was OK, because TB ripped him off, well TB, had giving me the TOENAIL study so BOB stole from me, or at least tried... “

“He did it for his 5-15-30% whatever he thought he was going to get, not to discover the species like Larry, Myself, and Melba, and he still wants money???????????”

It seems that one chapter has now come to a closure with Mr. Stubstad, who may return to being part of the DNA study and may once again contribute to the study (although his health is not the best at the moment, He may once again contribute to the study). It will be great to see how people can change and get over differences that at times can seem trivial.

As for Java Bob-- for what it seems, Bob is still holding grudges against the people that began the DNA study. Hopefully he will also figure out a way to forget about old arguments. Bob did state that he did this to get the recognition that Richard and himself deserve. Time will only tell if this will even be possible for Java Bob at least.

  1. How is Richard going to be part of the DNA study?
Is the AZCRO affiliated with Dr. Ketchum's study? If so in what capacity?

Thanks Damian and Alex for doing the right thing. It doesn't happen often enough.

    1. I heard that AZCRO is involved with Mitch Waite.

AZCRO was also claiming that they were intimately involved with the Finding Bigfoot episode in AZ. When that turned out not to be the case, and his story was passed over for better (less exaggerated) stories, Alex got very angry. Perhaps the show didn't want to deal with his contract demands.

As for the Ketchum Study; Alex's name is somewhere in the mix with Biscardi's toenail.

    2. So when is Alex not angry over something he is not in control of? This is one man to totally avoid, unless you beg to be cyberbullied by this individual. Hundreds of people observe this on his Facebook page every day.

  2. Well done Damian. With all the infighting and back biting, resolving old arguments is quite an accomplishment. Keep up the great work!

  4. Notice how this is all about money? People arguing over their %. No scientific papers are handled in this manner. Not with NDA's not with refusal to discuss the data. Not with all this Bigfootery behind the scenes malarky.

It's a con, a scam the data says modern human and they are going to try and push this on you as being "proof" of Bigfoot. Don't let them get away with it, don't let them sell you snake oil.

    1. Nick,
      what are you ranting about??
No one has disclosed any data yet. No one is asking for any money yet.

Whatever you or anyone else may think. There is no big money making opportunity involved in either proving or disproving the existence of Sasquatch.

Please explain your thought process, as to how this business model is supposed to work, profitably. A scientist or anyone else that finds and identifies a new species doesn't own any rights associated with the species. Especially if the work done to identify the species is deemed lacking scientific merit.

You guys keep talking about money. Where is this money going to come from?? Please explain this business model.

  5. TV show, books, appearance $$$$. Meldrum does pretty well for himself selling books, dvd's footprints and appearing on TV as well as conferences. Bigfoot stuff is hot right now with the success of Finding Bigfoot.

Stubstad himself released information that the mitochondrial DNA is modern human. That's pretty amusing stuff. I'm not ranting about anything btw, I'm trying to help you footers from getting sucked into another version of that Biscardi Georgia fiasco.

First they came under the guise of rednecks finding a body, now they come under the guise of science. Under what guise will they come next?

    1. First of all. those things are available to them now.
They don't need this study for that. As you said...
"Meldrum does pretty well". He's doing that without any proof.
They can't split money from these individual ventures. No need to argue over them.
If Bigfoot is proven to exist by these studies. Then all involved will be due whatever recognition they are due. However, that recognition does not translate into money.
TV shows are being made now. with no proof. How is that affected by these studies?

I'm sure all the "footers" appreciate your concern and "protection". It's very altruistic of you to volunteer that protection.

But I think, you think you are smarter than you are. The Erickson/Ketchum study does not model as a money making venture in itself. Most of the major players involved, already have fairly lucrative occupations.
They won't own rights that can be sold to TV producers, or publishers or be able to speak about things that aren't already being spoken of on lecture tours. Lecture tours generally either break even or are used to sell books. Unless of course, you are a former government official like a President.
If they prove the existence of Sasquatch then they can go on lecture tours. And charge. And they would be right in doing so.
If they don't prove anything...Would you pay to hear that lecture? People, even people that believe in Bigfoot for whatever reason aren't that stupid.
There is no business model, with the exception of that damn Finding Bigfoot show, that is more lucrative than their "day job". And proving Sasquatch exists would shut down Finding Bigfoot.

    2. I would think that it be more lucrative to be able to prove Bigfoot exists. And be ready to reveal that proof.
But instead. Take money from the lumber companies, mining interests and the like; to keep it quite and not go public with it.
That business model could be a real profit maker. That is of course, that you had real irrefutable proof.

    4. Well, if there is no money to be made, then why are these people arguing over it? It's that simple. They must have plans to monetize this project in some way.

If you will notice. It isn't the major players that are arguing.
It's minor players that are running around on the periphery that seem to be jumping up and down.

Maybe they are the ones that would like to try their hand at monetizing this project. Maybe they have been shut out and that has ruined their chance at "scooping" the story. Maybe by being shut out, that ruined their book deal.

The science of this project is not the money maker. The results of the science will be public information.

I don't and I assume you don't begrudge anyone from making a dollar from his/her own efforts.

If the study pans out, Erickson could make money from any produced documentary. He would deserve to. He put forth the effort and capital to make that happen.

Ketchum could gather scientific and professional kudos from an approved and accepted DNA paper related to this study. She put forth the effort and would deserve any profit she could gather from that.

All that being said. I still don't see great fortunes being made from this. Tell me how you see it differently.

      Do you feel better now?
I noticed that you mentioned allot of other names and neglected to post yours.
I'm not taking sides. I just think it's cowardly and shows a decided lack of character to post in that way. What are you afraid of?
Understand, I'm not picking on you. I think everyone should use their real name when giving an opinion on any subject.
That's just my opinion of anonymous posts. And since that is my opinion. I'll post my real name.

    2. Those guys don't lie and are honest about their findings. But one of them, namely the leader of AZCRO is not exactly a psychologically stable person. He loses friends weekly and gets into extreme arguments full of vulgarity and aggression, especially on Facebook. The observed characteristic of a cyberbully. There's no place in bigfoot research for people like this guy, and most likely a logical reason for the Finding Bigfoot team to not use this unstable individual for thier show.
