Watch This David Paulides Interview About His New Book "Missing-411" About Missing People And Bigfoot (Update: Henry May Retracts From Statement)

David Paulides, the head of the North American Bigfoot Search (the group responsible for kickstarting Ketchum's Bigfoot DNA project),  has a new book out and it's called "Missing-411".  In the book, Paulides writes about the the hundreds of people who have disappeared or gone missing over the years in U.S. National Parks.

He notes the "geographical clusters of missing people" and whether their cases can be attributed to Bigfoot. The book claims that nobody has ever studied the archives for similarities, traits and geographical clusters of missing people, until now.

Missing-411 is the first comprehensive book about people who have disappeared in the wilds of North America. It’s understood that people routinely get lost, some want to disappear but this story is about the unusual. Nobody has ever studied the archives for similarities, traits and geographical clusters of missing people, until now.

A tip from a national park ranger led to 3+ years and a 7000 hour investigative effort into understanding the stories behind people who have vanished. The book chronicles children, adults and the elderly who disappeared, sometimes in the presence of friends and relatives. As Search and Rescue personnel exhaust leads and places to search, relatives start to believe kidnappings and abductions have occurred. The belief by the relatives is not an isolated occurrence; it replicates itself time after time, case after case across North America.

The research depicts 28 clusters of missing people across the continent, something that has never been exposed and was a shocking find to researchers. Topography does play a part into the age of the victims and certain clusters have specific age and sex consistency that is baffling. This is not a phenomenon that has been occurring in just the last few decades, clusters of missing people have been identified as far back as the 1800’s.

The manuscript for the research was extremely large so the story was split between two books, Missing 411 Western United States and Canada and Missing 411 Eastern United States. The Eastern version will be released in late March and will include a list of all missing people in each edition and a concluding chapter that draws both books together for conclusions.

Some of the issues that are discussed in each edition:

  • The National Park Service attitude toward missing people
  • How specific factors in certain cases replicate themselves in different clusters
  • Exposing cases involving missing children that aren’t on any national database
  • Unusual behavior by bloodhounds/canines involved in the search process
  • How storms, berries, swamps, briar patches, boulder fields and victim disabilities play a role in the disappearance
  • The strategies of Search and Rescue personnel need to change under specific circumstances

Here's what Henry May thinks about the book (even though he hasn't read it yet): Video Removed, watch retraction video below...

Update: Henry May retracts from original statement about Paulides making connection with missing persons and Bigfoot:

    1. Wow, Dave figured out some people go missing in some of the more dangerous national parks (and maybe more in some parks than others). Plus, he's not saying bigfoot had anything to do with it (fingers crossed hint, hint, wink, wink). What a load of crap!

    3. Gigantic cluster, but Robert didn't do it, it was Bigfoot. Robert has an article all about it, and it's confirmed by 12 unknown sources. They all have DNRs.

Unless, these are alien abductions, that would explain no evidence.

  12. Why is this possibility so hard to swallow? For one thing, "Bigfoot" has become a generic term for every Hairy Biped reported in the U.S. Crypto-Zoologists have eight different creatures as a possibility based on eye witness descriptions. But all reports get jumbled into "Bigfoot"

Native Americans also have different legends for large hairy Man-like creatures that range from benign, to mischievous, to malicious to out right predatory and craving human flesh.

In the area of Washington that I live, the Native lore was that they stole fish and would abduct women and children. They would know they were around by their smell... Yet the same people told of giant cannibals that lived up on Mt.St.Helens as if this was something different.

Most Bigfoot believers want to believe that all HB reports in the U.S. and Canada are all the classic Sasquatch. But some of these eyewitness accounts do not fit the description. So the chalk up "Dogmen" as misidentified Sasquatch just as skeptics will chalk up Sasquatch sightings as misidentified bears. So believers are doing the same thing skeptics are doing lol.

I live in Washington now, but I grew up in North Texas. In stead of Bigfoot, we had "Goat-Man" aka The lake Worth Monster. This thing was grayish white, had green scales on it's face and chest where the grayish fur was not and had a goat-like head. Like Bigfoot, it walked Bipedal. Unlike Bigfoot, it had a mob of witnesses including most of the Police Department all at once as it threw tires at them. Shots were fired at it, and it screamed and then jumped in the lake (As it was evidently part fish as well lol) And was never heard from again. But despite the police report, and multiple eye-witnesses this too was a misidentified Sasquatch with a deformity and a disease. The green scales were actually a type of melanoma or some other skin disease. (According to Bigfooters)

If you are going to take the stance that something is out there, you can't close off the possibility that many things are out there or you might as well take the skeptical stance that nothing is out there.

But look at it like this, people are missing, but it does not necessarily have to be from "YOUR" Hairy and The Henderson's version of what Bigfoot is. It could be the other things, it could be bares or wolves.

And FYI Pogo, or Pogoa was a mythological creature that was killed in 1847. We call it the gorilla now.

      Delete
    8. Interesting how we were able to acquire a corpse of a gorilla from a remote area in 19th century Africa, but we aren't able to obtain the same from the 21st century United States.

      Delete
    9. Yes and no.. They were "confirmed" in 1847 yet at the same time they were not confirmed. A skull was found by accident. Specimens were taken, but most did not survive the trip to Europe or died shortly after. Most people did not know exactly what a gorilla looked like, so chimps and different apes were being toured around Europe and America as "gorillas". Concurrently to this people in America were reporting "gorilla sightings" (Bigfoot was not yet a known name.) And one such "gorilla" was captured by the Canadians "Jacko". (But that may have been a media hoax.)

Gorillas were not a concrete find until the early 20th century. But like now where you have a "Bigfoot Craze" you had a gorilla craze back then whit different researchers trying to be the first to find one while slandering each other to do so... Just like now.

But it begs the question "If Americans were not seeing gorillas, then what were they reporting back then?"

  13. Many missing people simply get lost, think they are better outdoorsmen/women than that are, or simply run into trouble. I had a friend who is an avid hiker, wilderness rescue trained, and yet still almost lost his life in the GSMNP last year. He tried to do one of the many "man ways" through the park and ran into some bad circumstances. This could be the case for many people.

Bad run-ins with wildlife are a possible cause too. Mountain lions and bears could be responsible for some.

Drug cartels (mainly in the West) could be responsible for many people not coming out. There are areas where some rangers won't search because they know that they will get shot at/killed for "trespassing" on illegal growing operations. The same goes a little for the East region (mainly Southeast) because of meth makers doing it off the beaten path in the woods of the parks.

Still it would be an interesting read although it will have a good deal of spin on it.

Notice how he starts everything he writes as "all the old bigfooters got it wrong" he or nabs (really just him, b short & r huckelbridge) are the first to declare bigfoot is human theory. Gimme a break, Thats funny, i recall alot of researchers bitching both about bigfoots as humans or apes as if anyone cares. As far as im concerned the damn things probably dont even exist. Not to mention paulides continues to push this bluff creek massacre theory. Heironomus is still alive so who did they massacre lol

    3. Orcarain6-You are part of the issue in this world, continue to push hate, erroneous information and twist the truth, it's non-stop!!!! As someone who has read Pauledis' books and followed their group, Cryptomundo is the one who claimed Pauledis was involved in the Bluff Creek claim, wrong, not even partially true and nobody has EVER pointed to where he was involved. It's part of the miscommunication that is perpetuated by the old guard.Pauledis never proclaimed bigfoot were humans, another misstatement, he asked that people look at what Native Americans claim and look at what every past DNA test result proclaimed (Ohh, lets forget about science, that doesn't fit into an allegation and demeaning conversation). At least Pauledis' group really did find bigfoot, apparently over 100X per DNA samples, something the "Not Finding Bigfoot" folks failed to find in 8 years, hmmm, that sounds like interesting discussion, or, let's talk about how successful they are on their show....Whoops, that's a short conversation...

  20. Not nice to pick on someone for being fat. Some of the comments are so rude and crude. Can't folks stick to discussing the issue and not make personal attacks? How about civil discourse?

As for the possibility that BF may abduct humans, remember Ostman? And Native Americans have such tales, too. I think BFs are a lot like us, with differing personalities, good and bad. There are also tales of BFs helping humans.

Of course most of the missing cases would likely be death by exposure, by wild animal, by bad humans, by getting lost and hurt, etc.

It's also worth remembering that May didn't put this video up here, I'm guessing Shawn did because it's public on YouTube anyway. Unless May asked for it of course, which I doubt. It's merely a response for subscribers on May's own channel, so for trolls here to go apeshit is as meaningless as their own lives already are.

  26. For myself, the jury is still out as far as Bigfoot is concerned. I never ridicule anyone that says they believe in or have seen one. I have never seen anything like a Bigfoot like creature, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. With that being said, missing 411 has some exceptional points. I am an outdoorsman and truly believe that there is something to these cases. Some of them outright defy logic. While I don't believe Bigfoot is to blame, something is happening. Some of these cases just can't be explained with any logic. The area I live in has had people vanish in our woods. There is no explanation for it. They are just gone with no trace at all. Some of them have been accomplished outdoorsman and hunters who knew where they were and what they were doing. Nothing was ever found. It does not happen often, but it happens. As I said some of these cases might be able to be explained, but not all of them. It would be similar to Bigfoot. Some of the cases might be miss identification, but there's no way an accomplished outdoorsman mistook a bear for something like a Bigfoot. We can all make a lethal mistake in the woods. It happens. Most of these cases however, are something else. Just my humble opinion.
