New Footage: Mr. Blurrycam Films Pacific Northwest Sasquatch (Updated)

Thanks to Paul for sending this our way.

This video was uploaded yesterday by a YouTube user named designperfxion who claimed this footage was taken during a hike somwhere in the Pacific Northwest. "I was startled by a noise then saw this step out from behind a tree. I stumbled for my cell phone camera & took this video as it was walking away from me," says designperfxion.

Update: Flickr account suggests uploader (designperfxion) is really into costumes.

We have a poll now!

What does it look like to you?

  1. Ummm no way first off the guy is not scared to death and is chasing it come on second the guy in the suit looks at him and just walks normal BS the big guy would have run they are scared of us people....

    1. Looks to me like it reacted exactly like Patty did.

    2. The Good: At least someone had the kahoonas to go toward the squatch, like Roger Patterson.

The Bad: He was chasing after his friend in a bigfoot costume.

  2. Maybe I've seen so many hoaxes that I wouldn't be able to recognize the real McCoy, but I have to lean toward the gorilla suit hypothesis on this one. Mainly something about how it looks like someone trying to walk in oversize BF fake feet, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Wow... That is either a really bulky costume or a sasquatch. I am leaning towards costume, though.

  4. Kind of close to the "sasquatch" to be thinking about getting out your cellphone... then when he does why does it take so long to put the camera on the subject? all you do is press a button to go into camera mode on a cellphone, it doesnt require shaking it and looking at the trees for 5 seconds, kind of like he added that to try and make it seem real, but went too far.

    1. I thought it was The Blair Witch Project for a minute. He should have turned the camera towards his face at the end so we could see the snot bubble.

  5. Definetly a fake i would say. The walk doesnt look remotely like what what weve seen in good videos. And the costume looks saggy and fat in the rear end and skinnier up top. Then their is the completely human walk. Then the guy says it stepped out from behind a tree, but you can clearly see that the thing would have been in the clearing basically standing on top of him. A few seconds transpire as he gets his camera and when he does, the animal is just barely inside the woods walking away. If that were real that thing would have been about where the video ended when he got his cell phone out.
But above all here we have to look at the guys screen name who uploaded it........DESIGNPERFXION. Design perfection, hmmmmmmmm, a bigfoot costume, Design? Perfection? Costume? I think this is debunked at this point. I think someone wanted to test out their bigfoot costume and see if they did a good job or not.

  6. This could be real guys. Patty didn't "run", neither did the one on the Freeman video. Just walked deliberately to some cover and in both took a sideways glance at the person they were walking away from. In these days of hoaxes it is so easily dismissed as another one. We really need to take some time to consider all the facts. That's why Id like to know more about this video before I dismiss it entirely. :)

    9. Incidentally, both Freeman and PGF are real Bigfoots and whatever this is is hard to tell. Still I'd say, given the piss poor cell quality it's actually a decent fake if that's indeed what it is. It's just too short and blurry and shaky to know either way.

But it does look huge and there's a head turn which could be idfficult inside a fake long body, the arms are long and some of the steps like the way the right leg moves is not what you'd normally see in a hoax with that odd inward primate/Bigfoot gait.

It looks quite longhaired too which is a sign it could be a big fat fake suit, there's absolutely no muscle anatomy visible anywhere so unless the video guy comes forward for an interview it's another questionable something.

    10. I kind of think hoax, yet there are some intriguing things about it. I can't write it off 100%, and think that if it is a hoax, he did his homework on motion and behavior. It's so hard to judge when we have a very small sampling of footage we believe to be "real" in the first place. And the cameraman's behavior cannot be used as evidence of a hoax, as we have no idea how a given person may act in the face of this situation. Everyone is different.

  7. I dont think it is the Big Guy...Anyone I believe that had an encounter would be scared to death, and saying something. It seems that when he turns it is like really fast, to make sure he is being followed. I think It is someone with a buddy trying to catch 5 minutes of fame...Have Steve Kulls analyze it

  8. look at the name of the uploader....is that a clue?
    maybe..maybe not

  9. "Ummm no way first off the guy is not scared to death and is chasing it..." I'm merely pointing this out because the opposite of this statment is usually used to "debunk", as well. It usually goes a little something like, "No way, why would you not run after it to get a better video? Sounds like he's acting as if he's panicked too."

Keep in mind that each and every one of us would likely react in a somewhat different manner (bell curve of reaction to the same incident).

I haven't watched the video so I'm not weighing in on the probability of real/fake, as of yet.

  10. To me it seems like you can see the bottom of the feet, much like the Patty and much like "thinkerthunkers" video breakdown.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_profilepage&v=SRi1VLBxtZc

As far as the "bulky costume", I think the fact its a very poor quality video with the walking movement might make it ssem like a bulky costume.

Not saying its real, just adding a couple points.
Would be nice to contact the uploader, and have someone do a size comparison at the location. Could be simply answered.

  11. I'm guessing that this is Cell Phone footage 240 resolution. If it's video camera then why did you post the lowest res ? Did your camera die as you ran after him. If this is the best he's got then it really doesn't matter if it's the real thing we will never know from blob squatch films. It looks alot like that white squatch costume with the black face that I have seen on those comedy bigfoot films.

    ReplyDelete
  12. If they were really trying, they should've had the guy in the Bigfoot costume a little farther away from the camera. Also, it's too bright, so they should've waited for things to darken a bit. Is there a tutorial out there about how one should go about making a fake Bigfoot video? I think we need one.

  14. let imagine how many bigfoot suits are sold... probably quite a lot... now if you buy a bigfoot suit whats the first thing you do... yep you film a blurry shaky video in some woods and post it on youtube

    1. I really think if it was perfectly still people would debunk it for being so still. I think no matter how one is filmed people are going to say hoax.

      Delete
    2. There's no reason for most of these videos to be so shaky other than it being done intentionally to cover up an obvious hoax. The circular twisting really gives it away.

      Delete
    3. Yeah, but don't forget most people are scared during an encounter and if you have to hold a camera steady at the same time you will to mess it up, nervousness and filming the two just don't go well together.

  15. Freeze frame on the footprint at the end doesn't help his cause either. Funny, you can almost hear the clump, clump of the hollow feet. If that is a bigfoot, he needs help getting around judging on how clumsy he was clomping around. A bit over weight too, too much beef jerky is my guess.

His recent activity shows the snowqualmie bigfoot footage!? Weird! He just maybe got footage of a bigfoot in washington, and he was checking out another video from the same state.

And I love your theory "he has an interest in bigfoot, so it must be fake"!? Seriously, wtf!?

    3. Weird, he has since erased the bf video from his recent activity. Hmmm. Beer-Man before you attempt to comment on another persons view, please understand that the creature he is attempting to portray has been eluding capture and video for hundreds of years. In the amount of time it took for this joker to fumble around and get his cell phone on, this creature waited for him, leisurely clopped up from roughly 40 feet away, looks back and takes a slow right to get out of camera view? Really? On top of that the costume was horrible. If you would like I can go on...For goodness sake his upload name is designperfxion. Design Perfection (in case you need help). That is the retired Chewbacca from the first two Star Wars movies (his cousin actually played Chewbacca in the third movie and all of the prequels). I'm surprised that they got this footage without getting injured. Chewbacca is know for pulling peoples' arms out of their sockets when they get too close. Two one armed reporters and an autograph seeker have lawsuits against Chwebacca.

  20. This is fake. This is so fake that it's beyond question. The fact that anyone thinks that this is an actual sasquatch shows how naive some bigfoot believers are.

  23. Lots of people just seem to *KNOW* that this is fake immediately. If so, why even bother looking at the video or any other alleged sasquatch video if your response is already predetermined. Skepticism has its place as long as it does not take place of an open mind or a strict adherence to a mental rigidity. I'm just saying it's a site geared strictly towards the existence of bigfoot. And btw if it is fake it's a good one.

    2. I agree. I wish I could have gotten a few of these people to set on jurys when I presented criminal cases. I wouldn't have had to work so hard to prove someone was guilty. Simply, "Nah, look at them, its obvious they are guilty. Your honor, we don't need to hear any evidence, we vote Guilty".

I beleive that everyone who immediately states, "hoax" are no different than those who immediately state, "sasqautch."

      What is the difference?

  29. It looks too good to be real in a way... but the walk is done well and the head turn is alot like Patty. I have never seen a Squatch so lightly colored, though. This is the lightest shade of brown I have ever seen on a Squatch if this is real. The bulk is right and the size looks convincing, but the guy who shot this is a bit shady and his story sounds a little fishy. I just don't know... It's 50/50 to me whether its real or fake.

    1. When you are wearing a bulky costume, your eyes are unnaturally inset and you have to over-exaggerate a head-turn like this to see anything.

The bulk is right and the walk done well? Bigfoots have pear-shaped bodies and have the gait of a depressed couch potato headed to the fridge for another beer?

      Delete
  30. Oh that's a real Bigfoot all right. I've seen many of them up close and this one matches most of them. Just look how huge it is and how different it's gait is from humans. The way he looked back at the guy was so creepy too. I bet he had to change his underwear after this encounter. THAT is the real deal no doubt about it.
