New Footage: Colorado Bigfoot, Woman Sounds Somewhat Believable

This footage was filmed near Castle Rock, Colorado in 2009. The woman filming sounds, or tries to sound fearful of the creature when she realized what she was really looking at.

If that were you, would you drop the camera and run away?

  1. Can anyone please get closer when they see something. Run towards the creature!

    1. it isn't walking on all fours.. it is waving it's arms as it is walking lower behind that ridge..

And that isn't a bear that is clear enough to tell

    2. It certainly seems to be walking on all fours to me. Or I guess it could be walking upright yet hunched over at a 90 degree angle. That makes sense o.0

      Delete
    3. Oh yeah, "obviously"... sheesh, you say it's on all fours and dismiss it, another guy below dismisses it because it is swinging it's arms like a guy pretending to be an ape. You have proven one thing for us... it's so damn blurry and indistinct no one could ever, ever, ever be sure what is in this video based on the clip alone. It's a blobsquatch, and that is the only thing we can be sure of based on the film!

  5. Looks a bit on the small side to me, but maybe not. She sounds convincing, but I really dont think I would be freaking out like that if I saw something that was so far away. How did she even know what she was seeing? It sounds like she is seeing the devil himself. Oh, and dropping the camera, that part was particularly good.

  6. Interesting pic for sure. Appears to be upright at first, the last section passing a bush to the next tree it goes down to all four.

dunno.. but it looks good. Does not appear to be a bear.

  7. It's not a bear, it was walking upright at first. Not sure it quite goes to all fours. One could get a rough height estimate if they had measure the distance between the two large trees as it is slightly taller than this space. Thats what I see anyway.

    1. Bears can walk upright.

    2. Bullshit. Maybe a circus bear. Bears can stand up and a rare few can take a few very awkward steps on hind feet. They can't walk stealthily bent forward like this subject.

      Delete
    3. You're right, how absurd of me to think that it's a bear taking a few upright steps. That's ridiculous. It's obviously a mythical unknown primate. That makes much more sense.

      Delete
    4. Watch the clip wise ass. And if you consider this stuff to be "mythical", why are you here skepticizing? Not much else to do but read/post at forums on things you don't believe in?

Besides, it's not THAT blurry. You can see the figure walk very clearly on hind feet. You have seen a bear walk before, right?? Watch Animal Planet much?

      Delete
    5. No, no, you're absolutely right. It's much more reasonable to think this is an unknown North American ape than a bear who managed to take a few upright steps. You've convinced me.

  9. Another one that's difficult to tell what it is, I'd say the movement is somewhat human so it could be a guy in a suit, could be a bear too. I'm leaning toward a fake sadly, her "oh wait" bit sounds rehearsed and then she lets it all out with that planned monster screaming at the end. Her big moment. Probably a local actress.

  10. I don't believe it drops to all 4s, it just looks like that as their is a small hill/rise behind right as it comes out behind the bush. It turns into the hill/rise slight so from behind it "looks" like its hands are touching the ground.

  11. I would guess that she could see it much clearer in person and may have seen details that made her freak out like that. No doubt her eyes' perception was clearer than the grainy footage appears. She certainly can act if it's fakery..

    1. I think there are special bigfoot cameras you can buy. The lens is always plastic and they are perpetually out of focus. It is also a prerequisite that when you run you must keep the camera at your eye so you can record the ground at your feet.

    3. I certainly don't know if what is shown in this film to be real. However, I grew up in this are in the 70's and 80's and have seen similar animals and have heard noises that I have not heard before other than noises similar to those heard on shows like finding bigfoot. I will say this, in those years you would be a fool to be running around in some sort of costume. In rear windows of most every pickup truck in Castle Rock, most of those men had at least one high power rifle and maybe a shot gun too. Had one of those things been bagged, I doubt they would come forward with it. In those days you just didn't talk about things like this. Animal mutilation at the time was a real problem. And those who spoke out on that were looked at strangly enough.

  19. With modern cameras, when you see an out of focus blobsquatch like this, you can already dismiss this kind of footage as a staged hoax.

How often do you see very blurry vacation footage?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Okay. Go to where ever you have you camcorder. Now, take it out of its case. Walk outside and start filming. Now, quickly pan in on something at a distance while running backward or horizontal to the object. If your video comes out much better than the one on this site, I will place salt and pepper on your camcorder and eat it after buying you another one. My point is this. No one (I don't care how modern or high tech the equipment is) owns a run of the meal camcorder/ camera/ cell phone, etc. that is designed to shoot video on demand while running or quickly panning. These cameras have auto focus that immediately causes the device to find the object closest to the camera and focus on it while usually blurring out the rest. That is what they are designed for; Slow movement, staged pictures or family gatherings, etc. Not a chance encounter with a bigfoot, mountain lion, whatever.

Only high tech, professional equipment will produce the type of results that you are looking for. Most people do not own these because of cost and no real need for them.

    1. Right. You say that until it happens. I didn't believe in bigfoot until one came onto my property. I hunt, fish, camp, and I have been in law enforcement for my entire adult life. I have used deadly force in the line of duty, made numerous undercover drug buys.....I thought I was "da man" when it came to "No Fear" until I had one of these so-called "mythical" creatures come onto my property and start screaming/howling at me. Another started yelling and wood knocking back at it. This all happened withing 70 yards from my house.

I almost crapped myself and sucked my thumb. I had several digital recorders within ten feet of me. I had a digital HD cam corder, digital camera, etc. All I could think of was, "holy crap, I'm a dead man." I ran in the house and locked my doors while retrieving my pistol.

This shook me up so bad I didn't go back into the woods for nearly two hunting seasons.

Trust me. I understand this womans fear. (This may be a hoax, but I understand the reaction.)

Mine was the fear of the unknown and realization of the power of these creatures.

    3. Right. I remember feeling the vibrations from the first howl that literally sent shock waves through the air. When the creature scream/howled then growled the second time, another one, (or two) started yelling back at it from across the hollow. I could see a faint outline of an image on the bank across the road from my front porch. I initially thought it was a huge bear coming in to a dumpster I had on my property. (This happened during a perfectly clear, full moon night.) I clearly heard the creature walking through the woods and I saw its outline in the crouched position. The crouched position is what led me to beleive that it was a huge bear initially. The creature watched me for well over ten minutes.

When the animal stood and began walking, I then realized that I probably wasn't dealing with a bear. Once it started making those nightmarish screams, that is when the other started yelling. I realized that I had been watched by atleast two, maybe three of these; surrounded on both sides.

I literally panicked and reverted back to the "run and hide" technique that a child would do.

Later, (over a period of two years) we had several wood knocking incidents, and I obtained a photo of a track apparently 18inches by 8inches. My wife had a daylight encounter (she even sketched the creature) but she will not admit this to anyone other than me.

This encounter truly changed our lives. Totally changed the way I view the woods and our idea of man being the apex predator. The power this creature displayed made me realize that it could easily walk right through a 40cal. shot like being bitten by a mosquito.

  25. Interesting, but ultimately no evidence of anything. Toss it on the pile with all the other "maybes".

But don't judge it based on the reactions of the people filming. You simply CANNOT decide what is realistic or not for a person other than yourself, and probably not even that if you have never been in the same situation. Some people have reported irrational fear, others a calm assurance they were not in danger. So who knows what someone filming one would "really" do? Any reaction is posible, and no indication of reality/hoax.

  28. The folk who say they would run after it are the ones that end up as Darwin Award nominees. Fear is a natural reaction to the unknown, especially unknowns that are much bigger than you. But please, chase it.. the herd needs thinning. :P

She gets a pass for shaky-cam because of her fear. For those who dismiss it because it's daylight... WTF. I've seen bats during the day. Nocturnal animals don't explode in daylight - stop watching vampire flicks.

But as for evidence, no. Such a short video open to so many interpretations. So I say it is a tree shaking its branches. Yes the famous Costa Rican walking tree. It's clearly a walking tree and you are ignorant of tree physiology if you can't see that. :P

    1. Agree. I really can't tell if this is a man wearing dark colors or someone wearing a gorilla costume but the woman seems genuinely scared.

I also agree with the bat anology. If you enter the forests enough during daylight hours, you will see many animals that are considered nocturnal. I don't know about you, but I will sometimes get out of bed to go to the bathroom, or maybe retrieve something to drink from the fridge, etc. Just because an animal is nocturnal doesn't mean that it becomes invisible during daylight.

After all, when we enter the woods, we are walking into the animals home.

Sadly, the video is too short and not enough detail to say one way or another if its real. It can be very frustrating trying to get good footage, but the woman in this clip does sound frightened, of which many of you have said, it does scare the crap out of you, especially the first couple of encounters. I can't make a judgement on this one and I've been trying for a fews years now. I always wished I could find out who filmed it and talk with them, but that rarely happens.

  36. By the way, I also realize this video is years old. It was up and down very quickly back then because we (us stupid bigfooters) figured it out in about a day. Myself and several others above where disscusing the FEAR responce. Not the validity of the footage, it was a hoax.

Here is the point though. This woman got pranked by a NORMAL size guy in a costum, and she freaked! it took her a second because she was OVERLOADING THE FEAR RECEPTORS. First she saw something, her mind tried to analize something completely unexpected. Whithin proabably 10 seconds total, she was MOVIN out! She had her husband, or whatever there with her, still freaked!!!
Had we seen the next 5 minutes, there was probably anger, relief, then laughter, all because she realized she had been pranked.

    Now--------------------------
    Imagine your alone.
maybe out in the woods walking.
Lets say it's dark, with a good full moon.
Something 9 ft tall steps out onto the path and completely blocks out the moonight down the path, size is no qustion!
You and it freez and you can feel this thing peering at you!!!!!!
You hear huffed breathing from and enormous set of lungs!!
The giant cocks his head and you get a flash from two Giant sized, gold to red, reflective eyes, 8 inches apart.
FEAR HAS ALREADY SIEZED YOUR BODY, You want to move, but the adreniline rush is like you just mainligned a serious drug.
Your mouth sucks so dry in an instant, that you'll remember it later.
THEN, Old furball gets tired of you not stepping to the side of his trail so he can pass, so he decides to move you.
    How you ask?
Now he cuts loose with a scream so intence, you cant fathem without the experience.
You just get your second masive shot of adreniline!
At this point several things may happen.
If you are a thrill seaker as myself and expose yourself to the adrenal hit, like skydiving, you might hang and watch / wait on the next move.
Most likely, you'll do what i did, ---RUUUUNNN!

Others at this point may feal a warm sensation runing down thier legg. This would be them peeing on themselves and still locked frozen.
Proabably the ANON'S here who saym, I'll run at it.
    Yah, sure you will!

Another group will simply faint, wake up later and convence themselves it didn't happen.

Besides the fainters, Those who have seen---know!
I highly and politly recomend that you sceptics go to the BFRO.net and start reading sighting reports. It is the very best way to get an education on the behavior. Also a sight called bigfoot behavior actually list hundreds of WIERD BEHAVIOR sightings. I'm sure there is some B.S. on there, but you will be amazed if you spend some hours over a few months reading. Then you may come and contribute something besides hatred!

I personally don't need to believe in this footage to believe in Sasquatch. It doesn't shake my faith knowing there are going to be hoaxes.

And for the record: One of the biggest annoyances in any forum is a person who fails to pull a real argument up so instead attacks spelling.

If you're such a nit-picker, you that the hyphen you placed between "high" and "IQ" was unnecessary, but my hyphen between "nit" and "pick" is optional, as "nit-pick" can also be written out as the compound word "nitpick".

  39. I don't believe it. Blair Witch. Not hard to sound hysterical...Sasquatch wouldn't likely move in the direction seen in the clip (getting closer to the couple). Classic daytime sightings are usually of the animals moving hurriedly away from humans. The behaviour of the blur in the clip just doesn't seem conducive with the movement of an animal that is a one of the great masters of avoiding human observation.

Archer1 you are still da man as it takes a strong man or person to come to terms with new experiances such as this subject without wanting to kill it to prove it with a dead body. I take your word even if the uneducated don't. Believe it or not these are real spirited creatures and they are not bears or apes; even if many believe they have this need to call those who are willing to state their experiance as fake or dumb asses. But it has it mental effects when someone like me is begged to give my experiance and I find out later I was filmed and used on a sasquatch documentary and completely takened out of context and made to look like a fool. So to all those who don't believe, so be it you have a lot to learn... you uneducated pink monkeys.
