Live Blogging and Commentary of Finding Bigfoot: "Holy Cow, It's Bigfoot" Episode

Please join us for our live blog of Finding Bigfoot: "Holy Cow, It's Bigfoot" episode. Blogger Autumn Forest of Ghost Hunting Theories will be joining us tonight to commentate on the Utah episode live at 10pm PST:

A mysterious video and reports from Utah State University help the team to determine that bigfoots have lived in the mountainous state for decades. Hoping to corner a squatch, they invite a witness to help in their final night investigation.

Live blogging done. Read below.

[10:00] Shawn - The team is in Northern Utah

[10:00] Shawn - This is the Sobe Bomb Bigfoot episode.

[10:03] Autumn -  NE Utah- Skinwalker Ranch territory.

[10:03] Shawn - This place is loaded with deer and elk says Matt.

[10:03] Shawn - The Sobe Bomb Bigfoot first came out a year ago.

[10:03] Shawn - The latest break down by The Crypto Hunter shows the Bigfoot to be a guy in a T-Shirt. Let's see what Matt and his team says.

[10:03] Autumn - Let's look at the setting--loud kids, fire, explosions, and a kid in a white tee gets up and gets away from the craziness, not a BF. He was smart and hiding from that chaos. But, it brought them to Utah, so I guess I'll forgive them. Looks like a cool setting.

[10:04] Autumn - Bobo is sounding intelligent and skeptical. Want to kiss him on the cheek.

[10:04] Autumn - Ranae is sounding intelligent, but then she always does.

[10:04] Autumn - Cliff just said "bigfooty shape" I want to kiss his cheek.

[10:04] Autumn - You know the local, he's wearing a tee. The team is wearing heavy coats.

"Biggest Sobe Bomb video Still shot with zoom - showing it's a kid with a white shirt and blue shorts."
- The Crypto Crew

[10:07] Autumn - The partying teen in the woods was able to account for all his friends and where they were?

[10:07] Autumn - Matt says "haunted" means a reputation for sightings. Now, Matt believes Bigfoot also haunts.

[10:09] Autumn - Bobo dropped a cup of gas on the fire and then squatted and got up and walked away and is smaller than Bobo. A teen, hmm?

[10:09] Shawn - Bobo: It could be a Bigfoot. Ranae: It's a dude. Dude: Don't know. Matt: It's a squatch.

[10:09] Autumn - Matt says it's probably a Bigfoot and they should stay the night. If he throws gas on the fire, I KNOW he hates the forest following the fireworks, torches and driving over saplings.

[10:11] Shawn - Matt and Bobo teamed up in night investigation.

[10:11] Autumn - Bobo wants to be like a squatch and act like a squatch. So, basically, be himself?

[10:12] Autumn - They sure know how to get coyotes to howl back.

[10:12] Shawn - Commercial break.

[10:17] Shawn - Bobo and Matt finds a little hut made out of sticks.

[10:18] Shawn - OK. They found a fire pit near by. Matt says the hut is something that could have been made by a sasquatch.

[10:18] Autumn - Matt-you gotta quit smoking the sticks, baby. He' says this hunter's stick structure could be used by a BF, so there is reason to believe BF might be there. There's also a Wendy's a couple miles away, but I doubt he's getting a burger at the drive-thru

[10:20] Autumn - Matt--Bigfoot will know he's asleep because he snores. Snoring is a good thing, apparently. Hey, Matt, it's also a sign of sleep apnea.

[10:21] Shawn - Town hall meeting. Cliff is speaking and asking people to raise their hands if they've seen a sasquatch.

[10:21] Autumn - I'm trying to hard to figure out Cliff's height. If Ranae is 6-foot, I put him at about 5'7", 5'8?

[10:22] Autumn - This dude in the town hall seriously knows how to make animal calls.

[10:24] Autumn - This dude in the town hall seriously knows how to make animal calls.

[10:24] Autumn - Apparently, at the town hall meeting when I was listening, I should have looked frightened and they might have filmed me.

[10:24] Shawn - Autumn was at the filming of season 3's town hall meeting in Arizona.

[10:24] Shawn - Commercial break.

[10:27] Shawn - Matt is currently out on a solo investigation.

[10:27] Autumn - ...and the team is celebrating.

[10:28] Autumn - I like how Matt knows what squatches like. Given Matt's judgment, I'm really glad he's not my tax dude, my insurance adjustor, or my Merrill Lynch advisor.

[10:28] Shawn - Matt smelling grass.

[10:29] Autumn - Grass smells like grass--Matt, I knew there was a reason you had your own show.

[10:29] Shawn - Matt says it smells grassy.

[10:29] Shawn - He says it could either be a mountain lion or a squatch that laid on the grass.

[10:31] Autumn - My gosh--Bobo is sounding very intelligent this episode. I am thinking that he's compensating for Matt's paranoid decline.

[10:33] Shawn - Matt found a jaw bone. He says it could be a mountain lion or a squatch.

[10:33] Autumn - Matt is finding bones--had to be a squatch or a mountain lion--couldn' t have died naturally. Man, I'm glad he isn't CSI.

[10:33] Shawn - ... and he finds a "Bigfoot kill"

[10:33] Shawn - Commercial break.

[10:37] Autumn - Yeah, Matt, there's no scavengers in the woods that picked it apart. He said the kill had been there at least a year but it still had its hide and fur on it--I think not, Matt.

[10:39] Autumn - Wow, Bobo is sounding smart again about the thistle catching BF hair.

[10:39] Autumn - Okay, can I stray--Matt has the prettiest skin I've ever seen on a man.

[10:40] Shawn - Cliff picking Matt up to meet with Joe.

[10:40] Autumn - BF on a guard rail.

[10:40] Shawn - Joe says Bigfoot was looking right into his eyes.

[10:40] Shawn - Commercial break.

[10:46] Shawn - Joe saw a medium brown colored Bigfoot.

[10:46] Shawn - It cleared the highway in 3 to 4 steps.

[10:47] Autumn - Ranae--is a natural rain machine. Why? She continually rains on Matt's parade.

[10:47] Shawn - Matt has no doubt Joe saw a Bigfoot.

[10:48] Shawn - Joe knows a guy who owns a couple of snowmobiles.

[10:48] Autumn - Matt--EVERYTHING is a Bigfoot and all kills in the woods are Bigfoot and all calls in the woods are Bigfoot and all tamped down grass in the woods is Bigfoot. I'd hate to ask him what is the cause of eclipses...earthquakes...

[10:51] Shawn - They're at Hardware Ranch.

[10:51] Shawn - The Bigfoots purportedly comes here.

[10:52] Shawn - Matt is doing a loud whistle.

[10:52] Autumn - Matt is wanting to sound like an Elk to attract a BF. Why do I think he might get stampeded?

[10:52] Shawn - They caught a deer on thermal.

[10:52] Autumn - Funny how they only get deer on thermal and coyotes on howls.

[10:52] Shawn - Just heard a new word: "therming"

[10:53] Autumn - Nope, Bobo often says "therm"

[10:53] Shawn - Matt is now doing a howl.

[10:53] Shawn - ... and heard a return howl.

[10:53] Shawn - Cut to commercial. Damn you guys!

[10:54] Autumn - Haha. First time Matt ever howled and got one back--only it ain't a chick this time.

[10:54] Shawn - Commercial break.

[10:58] Shawn - Matt looks so happy. He has a big smile on his face. "That was cool!"

[10:58] Shawn - "That was a squatch."

[10:58] Shawn - "Ranae, you just heard a squatch response."

[10:58] Autumn - Gotta admit, that howl was cool, but even Matt said it was a man-like howl.

[10:58] Shawn - Ranae: That is fantastic Matt!

[10:59] Autumn - BF vocalization was top night of the year according to Cliff--baby, you need to date a redhead.

[10:59] Shawn - Top night of the year says Cliff.

[10:59] Autumn - 37 squatches.

[10:59] Shawn - Show's over.

Cheers to Paul in Canada:

  2. I'm prepared for the squatch count and the antics.

  3. The return call sounded more like and elk baah.

    1. Definitely not an Elk they have a much higher pitched tone and rarely bugle outside of the rut. My first thought was moose. My second thought was Bobo and I say that because after a call they always show the reaction of the other team and this time they didn't.

    2. The reason I thought it was an elk is that from a distance the baffaling effect of the trees will knock the pitch down or it could be BoBo.

    3. Could be, also that could have been Moneymakers echo since they said they were surrounded by hill sides. I don't know just a thought.

  4. That was not a season ender quality. But, they managed to get a howl that was not a coyote--wahoo! I am going to miss them. What will I do until next season?

    1. Was that really the season ender? I thought there was an episode where they had a silhouette of a Bigfoot sitting on a rock. I remember a sketch of this creature in one of shawns posts.........where they had it on thermal, it showed movement.......
      Maybe that was next season?

Good work tonite AF and Shawn!

That last pic was really tasty btw!

    2. You probably won't have to wait that long Autumn, I would imagine season three will be out by the end of the Summer. The Howl sounded legitimate, and Cliff thought so as did Matt (no surprise), but it will have to be unknown. Are there Moose in Utah?

  6. So no new episodes for a while?
I was at the shaverlake filming and met them all.
only met Cliff and Renae, talked to Bobo maybe 5 min.
Talked to Matt for a while.
Here is a scoop, I'll take the blame for what solo camper Matt doesn't find on the episode. They were having a problem with a lack of grooping (sightings scattered all over) and the weather. I put him on a spot that was likely do to migration corrodors, yet accessable with the weather. I told matt there was no known sighting's there, but his hand was forced by weather and its hard to escape people, even in the mountains ---in cali. He didn't tell me that night that he was going there, but i found out later that he had, and no luck on the solo except for filming an xxxxxx , you'll have to watch!

    1. Geepers Leon w - Matt not finding anything is not much of a scoop. However I'm happy that you were able to be of service to the group. You must have talked of your encounter and I hope this makes the final cut. When they are doing three months of production, it seems the producers could have better spent the time in other regions and waited for the later shows for the snowpack to melt in the Sierra's.

    2. No Alpha, my story was very simple and to old to be followed up on the show. they may show me talking in the audience, but my story wasdn't featured at all.
It was a lot of fun though and they did come up with some great sightings. That was like the first thing I told Matt, Why didn't you come here in the spring or summer. Our cluster area is under snow.
They were all cool. Matt is foooocccuusssed, he will listen to person as long as you bring reason, keeping in mind we are dealing with a crazy subject.
Good point about the scoop! ha ha ha

    3. Now that you mention it Leon, I would have to agree that Matt is a very focused person and this really comes out in the show. Everything he sees is being processed as to how it might relate to Squatch. Even though some ideas are really out there, many are based on a lot of years of Bigfootology research from reading and field work. I personally do not harbor the ill feelings about him that so many folks do, and I sure as hell would not deny him the opportunity to make as many $$ as he can.

  7. I love how these howls are definitely something other than another person fucking around. Honestly, if these idiots are on in the woods, why wouldn't there be other idiots in there with them? MM is fool. He should be embarrassed of what he promotes and says. "This indentation was made be either a mountain lion or a Squatch". I believe it was made by an overweight founder of an organization that is nothing more than a charade and scam. MM = toolbag.

  8. You need a better glass. One with a "B" on it...

  9. I only got through less than 1o minutes of the show. When Matt said he thought it was, or could be a "squatch", I turned it off.
Unless something changes with the formula, I don't think I can watch any more Finding Bigfoot.
I'm still going to follow Cliff and his blog though.

    1. 100% agree, they are doing an excellent job of turning skeptics into absolute non-believers. They are only hurting the cause. I wish one of these groups would just say we have no definitive proof of bigfoot, but we are going to do our best to find it in a legitimate way.

  10. I have to admit myself....This was really a horrible season. I remember seeing a preview months before the first season aired and was BESIDE myself with excitement. I credit that moment and my kids for propelling me into this. But the lack of ANY evidence other than a footprint and a maybe howl at the 2nd season ender does not constitute a successful run. Those guys I hope really take in the reigns and formulate a system that will work.....I think being slaves to producers in search of rating and paychecks are a problem, but I bet some re-working could be done to help this show.....It was a real let down I must say.
