Listen To This Intimate Interview With The Most Interesting Man In Bigfootery, SnowWalkerPrime

Short of rescuing puppies from a burning building, SnowWalkerPrime is probably one of the most interesting people we've gotten to know. On YouTube, he calls himself SnowWalkerPrime, but in real life, his name is Michael Merchant. Michael was one of the contestants on Discovery Channel's "Out Of The Wild: Venezuela". He has multiple degrees, one of which is a degree in biology. He's also a survival expert. He can make orange juice, out of apples (OK, we made that last part up).

Bigfoot Evidence contributor, Damian Bravo was able to finally hunt down Michael and landed an interview. It's an hour long interview, but it's pretty darn interesting to hear Michael's opinion on things. In the interview, Damian and Michael talk about everything from Rick Dyer, to the Melissa Hovey Bigfoot photo, to Justin Smeja, to Dr. Melba Ketchum.

This is the first installment from the series of recorded interviews that Damian will be presenting to the Bigfoot community. We hope that you will enjoy this as much as we did.

When you're done listening, you can click on this link and subscribe the YouTube channel. The channel will soon include short documentaries, educational videos and news on our favorite "Big Guy".

  1. Oh sure! But can he make a Mai Tai? I ask you ... can he make a Mai Tai? And I'm not talking the crappy ones with pineapple juice in them; I'm talking the original Trader Vic recipe here. Yeah ... like he's all that.

  2. Listen to an hour interview and then decide if you wasted your time, because this blog doesn't summarize. Never any evidence, only kooks.

  3. Well im just glad he shaved the hair off his ass,or is that his face?

  4. Very interesting interview..Who would have thought that SWP actually has serious moments.
He has got to be the funniest guy on youtube

  5. I used to believe in Bigfoot, actually had a brief witness myself, or so I thought.
Until I cam here, and I saw the light, I must have been insane.

  6. I'm sure there is a place in the community for a chatty character. He says somethings I jive with, but I'm not sure what his contribution actually is. In other words, he's a vague commentary figure who talks a lot, but doesn't seem to say anything with substance. On another note, he has potential to be a kind of say-it-like-it-is shoot-from-the-hip commentator in the BF world, but I'm not sure even he knows quite what he stand is.

    1. I believe that is called a politician.

    2. I agree. He's not a researcher, he's not contributing to any stuides, is this just the little niche in life he found so he can feel special? Plus, he keeps mtalking and talking and talking and won't let the other guy get a word in edgewise, hardly.

    3. It was billed as an interview, not a conversation. If he feels special, that's great, because TeamTazerBigfoot is exactly what this field needed -- a sense of humor and fearless approach in calling out the clowns of the community.

  7. Why should anybody definitively say what their "stand" is regarding a species not yet proven to exist? He's wisely keeping an open, but still scientifically skeptical mind.

The unbearable aspect was that annoying background music throughout. What was the point of that? Hardly the marker of any type of serious interview.

  8. After 5 minutes I turned off because of the music. Too loud and not at all fitting.

    1. Annoying background music is the bane of 80-90% of online videos. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

    2. OMG! I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that awful music. Absolutely no point to it other than annoying listeners.

    3. 7:50 in I had to stop listening.

    4. It sounds like the horrible spawn of a mash-up between Fasano and BillyJack videos.

  9. I'm glad to hear he actually has a degree. I'm glad to hear he's skeptical, yet willing to keep an open mind.
I do think Michael is just another voice trying to speak loud, within a community that is known for loud talk. the difference is that he does so as a skeptic and not a "true believer". Morgan, Biscardi and Moneymaker have set the stage for the many, pontificating "Experts", that are continually trying to "one up" each other in the community.
Yes he steps on some toes. Yes he plays devil's advocate to "established" names and opinions.
To be taken seriously, the community needs to be able to embrace the skeptic rather than rail against them.

  10. Damian: Good interview. Just a note: it's very important, as an interviewer, to NOT interrupt your guests when they are speaking. Keep them coming, though! I like your articles, too!

  11. Overall, I thought this was a very good interview Damian. You asked some great questions.
I do agree that the music level should be turned down a bit or omitted altogether.
I have no problem sitting through a long interview, and I found it to be more interesting than Finding Bigfoot.
Snow Walker is far more diverse than I originally thought and I had no idea that he has a degree.
He's a funny guy and it took awhile to warm up to him. He has some great stories and good insight to the BF community and nature.
Keep it up Damian, I really enjoyed the interview.
I also subbed your channel. Good luck!

  12. As a side note, since SWP has mocked Rick Dyer, Rick has once again deleted 30 videos. I had a gut feeling and downloaded the Canada videos for my own records.
It looks like Ricky Bobby doesn`t want to be caught in more lies.
