Finding Bigfoot Town Hall Meeting: Quotes From Witnesses At Shaver Lake's Community Hall In The Sierra

The Finding Bigfoot crew just finished shooting in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains . On Tuesday, they held a town hall meeting at Shaver Lake's Community Hall where more than 100 people showed up.

Fresno news station KMPH Fox 26 was there and they wrote down quotes from witnesses who shared their story with the team:

SHAVER LAKE, Calif. (KMPH) -
The cast of Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot" travels the country, investigating possible sightings. The crew's latest adventure is in the Sierra Mountain range.

"If Bigfoot's real, this is the place he should be," Ranae Holland, member of the "Finding Bigfoot" team, said.

They came to hear stories like Ken Gentry's, who says his crew had a huge rock hurled at them while hiking near Three Rivers several years ago.

"This very large rock, one of the athletic guys on our crew, Billy, he picked it up and tried to throw it. He couldn't throw it 25 feet. Brother, it did come from 300 feet away on top of this ridge and I saw it. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I'd have a hard time believing it actually happened," Gentry said.

About 100 people packed into Shaver Lake's Community Hall, anxious to hear and see the evidence.

"I wanted to know if I could be persuaded into believing. And there's some interesting stories I hear from a lot of folks. It's hard not to believe," Mat Crane, who came to the meeting, said.

They heard howling from recorded audio tapes.

"It might have been a mountain lion or something. It couldn't have been Bigfoot," Ryder Sprague said.

"The howls, they sounded like monkeys to me when they're playing in the woods. And there's no monkeys out there," Lanae Lane said.

"I've heard that exact noise before. But I figured it was just a coyote or somebody enthusiastically yelling," Shaunna Curtis said.

They were also shown an imprint of what they believe to be the creature's foot.

"It was huge and obnoxious, kind of cartoonish," Curtis said.

"I tell my kids it doesn't exist. But the footprint was definitely scary," Amee Criswell said.

"I think someone could've made that because it's awfully big to be an animal," Chassi Gaston said.

The "Finding Bigfoot" crew already finished shooting in the Sierra.

No word yet on when the episode will air.

  2. Another thing why won't you guys address the Sierra kill on air?

  3. The "Sierra kill" doesn't promote the BFRO and their agenda.

  4. For them to go all the way to the seirras and not even mention or look into it seems pretty stupid to me. One thing people keep forgetting is if Justin's lying the whole DNA study we have been waiting on is a lie too because it confirmed the story.

I saw on Facebook Justin invited them finding bigfoot out to the sierra kill site and I know Justin and no money was involved he would of done it for free to help make restitution. The guy can't sleep at night.

Seems like if something doesn't promote moneymaker the bfro acts like it doesn't exist.

  5. There is something up with MM and the sierra kill,
Bobo was there on the search and he believes it happened.Cliff was quick to change the subject when
    someone asked about it.

  6. Seems like a waste of a trip to bring the whole crew to CA and not look into it. Obviously people are interested in it. Who needs another rock throwing story

  7. HAS MATT ALWAYS BEEN THAT FAT?

    1. It is one of the dangers of his occupation. If you want to study bigfoots you have to live like bigfoot and EAT like bigfoot. If he keeps it up he will need special shoes to accommodate the mid-tarsal break that his feet are developing right now.

    2. He ate all those donuts they laid out for Bigfoot, resulting in a sighting of Bigbelly.

  9. So matt doesn't believe in the DNA study?

  10. He is mad because he was not involved. Personally, the whole DNA tale is getting more unbelieveable every day. Somebody please shoot one of these monkeys and save the entire body. Thats the only way it is ever going to be proven.

  11. I have this fantasy of Ranae wearing a dress..........

  12. Matt is either halfway through crapping his pants, or is reminiscing on the lap dance Cliff gave him last nite. Probably both.

  13. I really want to see Ranae with some long hair, contacts, a tan and a nice dress.

  14. Eh, I like her myself and she is the only reason we watched as long as we did. However, we have shut this program out of our lives. Too painful to watch and nothing new is ever presented. Simply put its a waste of time.
