David Claerr Compares The Melissa Hovey Bigfoot Photo To His Current Anatomical Illustrations Of The Upper Torso

The Melisa Hovey Bigfoot photo is getting interesting as more experts come forward with their analysis. Bill Munns and M.K. Davis are still not sure what to think about the photo, but both agreed that if the photo is a hoax, it's probably one of the best ones to come along in a while.

David Claerr, who writes for Yahoo! Contributor Network, wrote an article about "Bigfoot Bones: Sasquatch Skeleton Analyzed and Compared to Human," where he constructed a visual 3D model of Sasquatch based on photos, video imagery, and possible physical skeletal remains of the creature. Claerr says Melissa's photo actually resembles the latest series of anatomical illustrations he was working on:

[...]
Although there is a possibility that the photo is the product of an artfully crafted hoax, there are number of characteristics in the appearance of the figure that oddly and coincidentally resemble the latest series of anatomical illustrations I was working on when the photo was released.

Like Munns and Davis, Claerr isn't ready to completely dismiss the photo just yet. He's going to wait for the "series" of photos to come out (if it ever comes out) before he makes any judgement. He admits there are a few "anomalies" in the photo that could suggest a hoax:

[...]
There also is an area with the appearance of a bulge and a depression below on the inside of the upper right arm that is contrary to typical anatomical aspect of the underlying muscles (triceps brachii) in that region. These anomalies are the perhaps the most questionable elements in the photo, although there can be plausible explanations for the apparent disparities. Perhaps more of the purported photos in the series will be released to help clarify these issues.

  1. If his depictions are based on available evidence, the hoaxer's costume or whatever could be as well. Intriguing, but certainly not proof of anything. I am wondering why, if there are more photos in the series, they have not come out. Was Hovey not given the others yet, or is she not releasing them? It's all kind of suspicious either way.

    1. Yup , the story about the mystery man who sent the photo is worse than the photo.

  2. A word of advice; stop going in the wrong direction on this. Find the source of the photo and you will find the answer. Attach an identity to it and all the questions will be resolved - or maybe not but finding the source must be the very first step in any investigation. Without that, nothing else matters.

this kind of energy misspent is typical of Bigfoot Researchers. Without a witness to the photo it is worthless. Unfortunatley a costumemaker has claimed it as his,so now what?
Forget it and move on, until the witness steps up this is such a waste of time.
Are we on the 7th or 8th entry on this?
Let's get another opinion before we leave this. How about Fasano or Biscardi's too?!

    2. To Comment + 1. Who was the costumemaker that has claimed the photo as being a picture of their costume? I have heard a lot of people making allegations about who/what/where/when. Some anonymous poster has stated that he/she helped work on this costume...but I will use the above "burden of proof" to call that person a hoaxer. No name, not specific information, no nothing. Only smoke and mirrors.

  3. by now photo's 2&3 would of gotton her some cash! that's why i'm 99.9% sure this is a hoax. money talks and bullshit walks. hope she has comfortable shoes?

  4. Whatever. Ooh money talks and bullshit walks? You should copyright that, it's pretty catchy. What is this 1987? And the question about whether or not Hovey has the photos, why don't you read first and you might know the answers to simple questions. She doesn't have any other photos dipshit. I know it's tough, but reading is fundamental.

  6. I'm glad David Claerr weighed in on this as I respect what he did a few weeks ago with his skeleton. He confirmed the only thing I posted originally about the muscular trapezius and deltoid area, and short neck which fits his model. I do not like the amount of underlying skin exposed in order to keep a Bigfoot warm in the winter, however if it is a southern Bigfoot or costume then it makes since. All in all their are some aspects that look good, and their are others including lack of other photos and the context of the whole situation that smells of something different.

  7. MK Davis is the same guy who reads massacres, blood and imports all sorts of nonsense into the Patterson film. This Hovey Hoax is nonsense, and Bill Munns said he thought it was fake.

  8. To even mention this single frame (which looks staged, frame and as much of a Hollywood rendition of a creature as I have ever seen) to the Patterson footage is laughable. This photo is a hoax, and the story behind it seems a little too convenient for Melissa Hovey. Think about it: It is the perfect kind of story a person would make up to absolve themselves of any hoaxery, yet it allows themselves all the benefits of the publicity. If public think its a fraud, just blame the anonymous source, if the public thinks its real, you get all the publicity and glory for yourself. You cant loose in a situation like this. I ain't buying the bullshit she's selling.

  9. This bigfoot has an ear. If this is not a hoax, then the Patterson bigfoot is a hoax. Sasquatch either have an ear or they don't.

My money is that this latest photo is BS. Have you ever seen a gorilla or chimp or any other primate with an external ear?

  11. Melissa Hovey should have enough discernment to tell that this photo is an obvious fake. This should shoot her credibility of a true bigfoot researcher. She should also have enough sense to have asked a few people about this photo if she wasnt skilled enough to authenticate it before making a big production out of releasing this photo. At best she doesnt know what she is talking about and should be discredited by the public as a person who truly doesnt have a clue what they are talking about. At worst she is a hoaxer hiding behind the anonymity of the alleged person who supposedly emailed her this. Whatever the case may be, I think this entire charade is proof we need not pay attention to her nonsense in the future.

    1. You're pretty much full of shit. Most sensible people are saying if it's not real, it's a really well done hoax. So saying she doesn't have discernment is pretty much retarded.

    2. Calling people names MELISSA will get you nowhere. So called experts should be held to a higher standard, and if you yourself cant tell that its a hoax, dont judge others who actually can.

      Delete
    3. People make costumes, props, busts all the time at this level. It is good on the costume level, but just because something is well done, doesnt at all mean it is believable. Watch any monster movie, (like Clawed which this was taken from) The costumes are well done yes, but believable they are not! This story is just another hoaxer trying to drum up publicity.

  12. You people who try to make all bigfoot hoax C@*p into a real bigfoot are gullible. This is a fake, as is every clip/photo on this site. There is nothing here that in any way shape or form appears to be legitimate. If you want to prove bigfoot's existence, put a body on a slab for science. There has been so much hoaxing s$!t with bigfoot that there is zero credibility for this type of "evidence."

  13. Fake, FAKE!!

    Enough of this silly pic!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Well, whether it was faked or real, it's absolutely of not use as proof. The fact is, if this person (Mr. Anonymous) really took this shot and did not share it with the community--why the fuck did he take the shot in the first place? It makes no sense. He's trying to prove BF and then he hides it? So, it's absolutely useless. Then, throw into it the law of averages. How many times have campers been in the woods and never ever saw a Bigfoot much less got a straight on shot perfectly centered and posed? Hmm....

  16. I dont know who is more full of shit, Melissa Hovey and her goofy story and photo, or this guy who draws bigfoot art, presents it to us as FACT and tries to lead us to believe that it is somehow true.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The thing in the Hovey photo has large differences in anatomy compared to the Patterson Gimlin Film. The Hovey subject's head sits way above the top of the arms, whereas Patty the top of the arms almost cover part of the head. Hard to explain, click my name to see the diagram on my blog.

  18. I want to believe, but this article is just filling up space on the site. It is just another way for someone to try and make a square peg fit into a round hole.
Questionable research is done via the skeleton of bigfoot and then poof. Here is a picture that fits! Please!!!!!!!

  19. Man its a shame how some folks are so quick to make judgement when they live most of their lives on concrete. In this day in time a photo will always be 50/50.Get out in the woods and find out for yourself.

    1. I dont think where you live has anything to do with a hoax of a photo. You just dont see anything in nature that looks like this photo, because it is a fake. Not saying bigfoot aint real, but this photo certainly is not.
