Bigfoots Communicate With Sticks? David Claerr Investigates Saquatch Use of Symbols

Does Bigfoot create glyphs to communicate information? Researchers in the field have encountered strange looking stick structures and arrangements that seem to indicated some kind of intelligence behind their creation.

Some believe that Bigfoots leave behind landmarks and directional signs by piling trees into X marks. The bending and shaping of spindly trees into arches are often found in the same area.

Yahoo contributor David Claerr recently published an article detailing these strange formations. It's an interesting read and he goes into the possibility that these symbols could be some sort of communication or a form of decorative art:

The discovery of these apparent symbols, along with the collateral evidence raises many questions concerning the intelligence and the ability to communicate symbolically amongst the Sasquatch. If these are symbols placed by a Bigfoot, were they directional indicators? Were they a signature of an individual and/or a territorial marker? Could they be decorative or representational art? Do they communicate information about a food source or meeting place? Only ongoing research, the collection of more evidence, and direct observation of these behaviors can even begin to answer these questions- unless we one day can communicate with these beings, and they are able to enlighten us directly on these issues.

  1. That's very interesting, very much so. I'd also like to see and hear more of Scott Nelson's findings of possible Sasquatch language because that's the real kicker in all of this, isn't it. If that's really true as it would seem to show, then how can there be doubt we're dealing with a human species of extreme intelligence way beyond anything most researchers happy with their ape lore, could ever have dreamed. All of that, combined with Dr. Ketchum's study findings will build a very powerful case indeed.

    1. TRANSLATION: "I believe every piece of garbage the so call Bigfoot experts throw my way because I have the critical thinking abilities of a fruit fly.."

Seriously? Any of you walk in the woods much? There are dead trees, sticks in piles, snags...etc These occur naturally. Without Bigfoot sending messages. (not to mention that with all of the discussion of family groups yet limited populations, the odds of there being strange squatches to read said message is remote).

None of this makes sense, it's attempting to create behavior out of thin air to rationalize the existence of something yet proven to exist.

    2. Yea...What you said Nick

    3. I believe 99% of the dead tree stick piles or snags are naturally occuring, but there is still that 1% that isnt. Keep and open mind. Must be awful to go through life so closed minded.

    4. Nick might be rationalizing away something he doesn't understand... There are almost perfect blow-down "tree structures" in my back yard right now... I can see them from my couch!
Not everyone is an "idiot", "retarded", or otherwise incapable of telling the difference.
There are unnatural designs that could be made by people, but not by coincidence.

PS- I can also tell the difference between a bear and ANTHING ELSE!!! I'd have more difficulty identifying a BF... maybe, I'd think it was a bear.

    5. What evidence is there that 1% of these stick figures are made by bigfoot?

    7. I read the article. There's not any reason to believe these are made by bigfoot, other than the author's wishful thinking.

  2. Is everyone in the "bigfoot community" absolutely retarded?

  3. I have to admit, whether there is anything to this notion or not, I find it extremely hilarious that humans with IQs, some of them with genius-level ones, cannot seem to figure out BF and his communication skills, tools, or hiding places. BF is seriously smarter.

    1. Autumn seems you are another one so closed minded except for your supposed sighting and your ghost theories. Or things from people in right places that will get you exposure. Isn't that right?

  4. From my research, it's obvious to me that Bigfoot likes to play tic-tac-toe.

  5. don't discount the possibility that BF does use such symbolism. It is worth investigating.

    1. Don't discount the possibility that its leprechauns or ghosts, either. It is worth investigating.

    2. There are no leprechauns, only ghosts are seriously worth investigating.

  6. Whenever I go hiking I often set up a rest area to take a break. Ends up leaving an imprint exactly like these "sasquatch nests". And sometimes I'll mess around with twigs, making weird little shapes. It's hilarious to think that other people come across these and think its evidence of a cryptid.

  7. As far as i remember, a hut was found in Vietnam during Vietnam War. If i recall correct, some primitive tools were found in that hut, too. I presume that these belonged to "Rock Apes". I haven't researched the Prehistory of Vietnam. So, i can't say if we are dealing with Homo erectus or another sub-species.

  8. Once again some of the muppets have missed the point in the discussion and just choose to throw out everything because their intelligence cannot allow for possibilities. One of his points is that the area is unlikely to be visited by humans and secondly the patterns do not appear random. He just raises the question that maybe there is more to the patterns. A pretty good basis to START a scientific inquiry; it is NOT his CONCLUSION and he does say as much. We see unusual things often in our lives. Some just refuse to look deeply and actualy engage the brain before opening the mouth. What a sad little uninquiring world they live in that THEY feel compelled to denigrate those that do inquire, think and have the grit to say what they think.I suppose they think Steve Jobs was just a dork.

  9. Unless you find Bigfoot manipulating the sticks, there's no way to prove they aren't naturally occurring. That being said, I find it fascinating to speculate about these formations being used symbolically by Bigfoots. How do they find them and what do they need to tell each other? By the way, there was a fossil found last year that led one researcher to speculate that giant prehistoric squid were making art with bones. Fun stuff.

  10. I have to agree with those that say it's ludicrous to assume Sasquatch made any of these twig symbols or tree formations or stone piles or....anything else.

The "beds" look like deer or other critter bed down spots. I've seen them and I've watched deer make them and lay down in them. That's what they look like.

The "tree formations" are in all woods both urban and rural. It's called weather, wind, nature. No bigfoot babies swinging on them or bigfoot crypto-symbology.

    Twigs as sasquatch markers??? Please

  11. Often during long hunts I will sit in a great vantage point and when bored, play with or break twigs/sticks. However, if someone finds this (i.e. MM) then "This had to be a squatch! Look at how smart it was to sit right here on this ridge line to watch both sides".

I seriously don't get how the BF community believe in contradicting things so blatantly. Belief 1: BF are fairly/very scarce, Belief 2: BF leave trail markings for all the other ones who come through. Someone's trying to put the square peg in the round hole again.

I'm not saying that the either belief is wrong, but it is just ridiculous to keep making up beliefs when so many don't go together.

  12. Naturally, being the historical Ape Canyon weirdo here, the first that the first thing that comes to mind is the historical significance of the traditional name of "Stick Men" or "Stick People" of the NW Coast.

  13. of course they communicate with sticks & stones, lots of proof and videos that support this, i bet if the government wanted to find BF and put him on display and make $$$$ uhhh they would.
