The Bigfoot Community At Its Finest: "Letters From the Big Man" Home Video Distribution Will Get Funding In April

We love it when the community comes together to show their support, especially for a critically acclaimed Bigfoot film. After launching the KickStarter Project in hopes to get funding for the "Letters From the Big Man" home video distribution project, director-writer, Christopher Munch will have a lot to be thankful for next month (April 1st at 8:12PM EST, -- this is when the project will receive its funding from money pledged by backers).

With nearly 190 backers (as of this writing), the Bigfoot community has shown its support through donations, and word of mouth on blogs and social network sites. The project has well exceeded its original goal of raising $7,500, and there are still 7 days to go.

To show their support, here's what some backers wrote on the project's KickStarter page:

I'm looking forward to watching the movie on DVD. I've made my pledge and I'm doing my part to help spread the word. Thanks for making this movie!!!

I have had the great fortune of seeing a screening copy. The careful pace allows you to absorb every subtlety of the haunting musical score, the perfectly woven story and the phenomenal acting. It is a movie, so natural, it carries you, keeping you curious until the the very last scene.
And yes, it happens to have a Sasquatch; the likes, the cinema world has never seen. The Sasquatch portrayed by writer/director, Christopher Munch, is true-to-life and believable in every way. If you don't get this for yourself, this is a perfect gift for someone you know.

  3. Does this mean we can now buy a copy w/o having to jump through hoops? Not that I'm against assisting struggling artists or anything...just wary of the method to get a copy. And, this looks to be a really COOL movie.

Anyone? Will it be available on the usual channels?

    Thanks,

  4. Great news. I heard the writer/director on the Bigfoot Show podcast just a few days ago. His sincerity is obvious even via satellite.

  7. Great job everyone! Donated my $50 the moment you posted this a few weeks ago!
SasGirl, I do believe this will fund everything needed to make it available to the public as well. You can go to the kickstarter page and ask Christopher via message just to be sure tho.

  8. SasGirl, for future reference, Kickstarter is safe. It's run by Amazon.

  9. That bigfoot suit does look better than the costume used in the Patterson footage.

  10. I'm one of the 188 backers! Can't wait for the dvd.

  11. I think that this is more a combination of a costume and make-up. The Patterson costume didn't have make-up.

  12. I see some footer on the BFF claims to have found the P/G suit.
