Odd Theories: Is Bigfoot a Troll?
There are many theories about Bigfoot and what it could possibly be.
There's the feral human theory where some researchers believe are a lost tribe of wild hairy people. And then there's the Bigfoot-Giganto theory, where researchers claimed that Bigfoot, also called Sasquatch, Yeti or Mawas in other parts of the world is probably a surviving pre-historic giant ape which lived during the Middle of Pleistocene age. Another theory is that Bigfoot may be a Giant Ground Sloth that is thought to be extinct only 10,000 years.
Here's another theory we heard recently: Bigfoot could be a troll.
In an article published in Occult View, a website about "THE ESOTERIC, THE PARANORMAL AND BELIEFS OUTSIDE THE MAINSTREAM," they have three explanations about why this think Bigfoot could be troll.
First, what is a troll? (Note: The trolls we're talking about are not some Anonymous internet commenters) :
A troll is a giant that is never entirely in our world and as such can never be clearly photographed or videotaped. Any image taken would necessarily be blurry. Even if a troll stood 10 feet away their picture would be an indistinct blur. Our visual perception of trolls depends not only on our optic nerves but also how our mind interprets them. Trolls are creatures of our imagination, 90% mental and 10% physical. In our mind we perceive the troll more clearly then what is actually present. A troll can best be described as a vibration.
The first explanation says that trolls are Blurry Beings: a troll cannot be clearly photographed.
Ever wonder why all Bigfoot photos are fuzzy/blurry? The fact that all Bigfoot videos and photos are hard-to-make-out reinforces this concept...
The second explanation: Physical evidence of trolls vanishes.
Why don’t we have any Bigfoot DNA? Physical troll evidence is also mostly in our minds. What appeared as evidence at the time later turns out to be an illusion. For example, suppose we’re lucky enough to get a hair sample of a troll. The next morning we’d discover the hair we put in our backpack turned out to be straw instead. We’d swear we put hair in there. Tales of troll’s gold turning into stones is universal in folklore. Just as our perception of a troll is halfway in our imagination, so would be our perception of evidence collected during an encounter...
Third explanation: Trolls vanish without a trace.
Bigfoot hunters have tracked Bigfoot footprints only to discover the footprints inexplicable end. Suddenly there is nothing as if this giant man/ape just vanished. How can an 800-pound creature walk around without a trace of prints? This elusiveness is the signature of a troll. Trolls can dematerialize. Trolls co-exist in our world but mostly another. What brings trolls into human interaction is unknown but contact is brief. This explains why we can never find Bigfoot, but they can find us...
According to the Occult View, this explains why Matt Moneymaker and friends won't be able to find Bigfoot, ever. "I’d suggest the TV show Finding Bigfoot include a shaman in their team. Not a pretender, a poser, or a celebrity wannabe shaman, but a genuine Native American shaman. The Finding Bigfoot team might have better success at detecting Bigfoot then they currently do howling in the night," says the author of the article.

All I can say is wtf
ReplyDeleteTrolls and Bigfoot or Sasquatch are from different world that coexist among human, interesting theory.
ReplyDeleteI like how the author just assumes that trolls exist
ReplyDeleteI would like to know how the author ascertained these "facts" about trolls. It is much more likely that a troll is a mis-perceived physical bigfoot or "wildman." The author seems to be right about one thing: it is 90% in his mind.

Some people in this field are just NUTTIER THAN SQUIRREL SHIT!!!
ReplyDeleteIf this article had been about the folklore and legends handed down from antiquity regarding trolls and attributed them to Sasquatch, then maybe you could have something. Not conclusive by any means, but interesting. But the other dimensions and being inherently blurry...c'mon man!
ReplyDeleteWhat if BF has downy, splintery, translucent overhair that makes a cloud and blurs in pictures
ReplyDeleteSo the new suggestion is that bigfoost pa-rouse the internet and make comments on discussion boards?

Trolls in Norway Mythology- covered in hair bipedal creature, that is seen only in forrest and mostly at night,it stinks, and its big and powerfull but not so inteligent.
DeleteDont u see? that is describe of a bigfoot.Troll is just another name for bigfoot that was used often in Europe mythology.OFC All the magic of trollls is just a folklore, but its based on actual creature Europe Bigfoot- troll
I would have to say that back in middle times if bigfoots lived in europe then people back then would have called them trolls and that would be where the myth of trolls came from. None of this mythical being blurry beings or vanishing.
ReplyDeleteIt's like where did the myth of dragons come from. The myth came from people finding huge dinosaur bones and the bones must have come from something, so they called them dragons. Now these days they are called dinosaurs. It's the same with trolls. Back in the middle ages BFs were called trolls. These days they are bigfoots. It's that simple.

A few things on trolls in scandinavian folklore: Trolls are usually described as wearing clothes, furthermore they are commonly described as rich and therefore carrying lots of jewelry. The most common tell tale sign of a troll is its tail, the tail is always an important part in tales of trolls because it distinguishes it from humans. Another very common caracteristic is a large nose. Trolls in tales and legends range from the sice of mice up to 10 kilometers (!) tall. Sometimes they are very similar to humans and only the tail and the nose stand out as different. All together these caracteristics are not that of a Bigfoot as far as I have understood the matter. (Sorry for the spelling, English is my third language).

I would love to square off against a rich European Bigfoot troll with a tail and a big nose. This battle would occur in the Middle-ages.
DeleteI can imagine myself swinging a broadsword or battleaxe at the incompetent big-footed oaf and taking it down with one swipe.
What most people don't know is that Bigfoot isn't much of a brawler. Its pretty much a big, hairy coward and that's why it's always running away from people.
Cowering animals piss me off to no end. I could just see myself losing it and decapitating a Bigfoot for standing there and sniveling.
Why won't Bigfoot stand up for itself and fight? Bears are extremely aggressive and usually take two or three shots from a high caliber weapon to kill properly.
All I know is, bears are extremely dangerous and Bigfoot is a big p*ssy.
Yet there are many dozen incidents and stories from hunters and farmers who've encountered Sasquatch and fired a pistol/rifle/shotgun and swore they hit it, but having hardly any effect, except it made it scream and run off. Sometimes a blood trail, most times not.
DeleteJacques Vallee is famous for interpreting UFOs and alien abduction as not being what they seem to be, but as something else.
ReplyDeleteFrom Wikipedia: “Vallée proposes that there is a genuine UFO phenomenon, partly associated with a form of non-human consciousness that manipulates space and time. The phenomenon has been active throughout human history, and seems to masquerade in various forms to different cultures. In his opinion, the intelligence behind the phenomenon attempts social manipulation by using deception on the humans with whom they interact.”
Why is Bigfoot not part of these same phenomena? Instead of trolls and ogres, we now see sasquatch. I suggest at least an open mind on the possibility.
Would not Grendel from the epic "Beowulf" or
ReplyDeleteEnkidu, the wild man in the "Epic of Gilgamesh"
be candidates for early Sasquatch?
All those old stories of Giants, Half-men in the forests, Wendigos, Cannibalistic Forest Monsters/Demons, trolls and ogres would make so much sense for ancient times that had limited knowledge of science and confusion of Sasquatch.
yeah, there is trolls in scandinavia. we got a forest just an 40min away in central/northeast of skåne (south sweden) with troll history. i think its a protected area (no houses and no hunters). as young we would all travel to these woods with our school-class and hear weird stories from our oldschool-teacher. pretty cool stuf.

I was recently on the Appalachian trail with two of my friends and my dog. Big dog cane corso. We were about fifteen miles into the hike and we came to a camp . Like a three walled lean to. It was starting to get dark so I said I was going to do some squatching. lol. My two friends( one who is a psychologist and the other works for the hartford ) started to laugh. I said whatever and proceeded to give three load taps on a tree. Nothing happened . So then I gave to load yells uuuuuppppppoooop. On the second we got a response . My friend Mike ( the psychologist ) said hey I just heard something, people are partying out there. Then we heard it again a yell back in the distance. So we were like whatever went sat by the fire and it got dark. Fifteen minutes or so pasted and we heard an owl go hooo. Then about ahundred yards from that we heard another owl go hooo. And we laughed and said listen to the owls communicate . Then suddenly we heard a load bang like a gun shoot but not load enough and close. Almost like a bolder fell. We were like wow wtf was that? Then a minute or so later it started hoo hoo ,hoo hoo ,hoo hoo all down bellows us about twenty feet down a hundred yards across. The dog got up started growling , my friends now turned to me and said why did I do this ? I thought to my self why did I do it, have I just made my final mistake? I don't scare easy and I was shitting my paints. Then they started banging on the trees bang bang bang, bang bang bang. All of this lasted for about three minutes. I have a farm coyotes, bears ,fisher cats have been around at my back door this was no pack of normal animals. We thought about running for it but no way we would have made it. Who would have thought I would actually attract a clan of Bigfoot ( Trolls?). Absolutely insane experience. So we re thinking of going back this time with weapons and cameras . Not sure if I want to tempt fate though it was very real. Next time we might not get so lucky.
