Todd Standing preemptively attacks 'Finding Bigfoot' before team debunks him on TV this Sunday
The Animal Planet website currently has a preview clip of the Canada episode that's airing this Sunday. The clip shows the Finding Bigfoot team doing an investigation on an alleged Bigfoot footage filmed by Canadian Bigfoot researcher, Todd Standing.
Back in September 2011, after filming in Canada, the Finding Bigfoot crew released a statement that was posted on the BFRO forum. They said they basically debunked Standing on camera and said his tales were full of contradictions and couldn't stand up to their questioning.
According to a post by forum user Bossburg, the crew had this to say about Todd Standing:
The wildly overblown, self-serving assertions made by Todd Standing in those Canadian newspaper articles are quite misleading. We interviewed Todd Standing, as one of several witnesses in Alberta. He used the opportunity to drum up publicity for himself in Calgary papers. That's what he's all about -- he's a publicity hound. We interviewed him and basically debunked him on camera. His tales were full of contradictions and couldn't stand up to our questioning.
Usually the four investigators are not unanimous when some of us feel a witness is not credible. In Todd's case we all came away feeling that he is not credible, and we said so afterwards.

The show hasn't even aired yet and Todd Standing is already on the defensive about the investigation. One comment posted by Standing a few days ago on the Finding Bigfoot website tells us he wasn't too fond about the ways the investigation was conducted:
Well congrats to the "Finding Bigfoot' team and producers. After being on hundreds of newspaper, radio and tv interviews and shows, the finding bigfoot production is the worst I have EVER seen. Their production company is Called"Snake oil productions" for a reason. They have no intention of finding bigfoot and they couldn't possiblly be stupid enough to believe they could. They literally filmed me in a spot they choose where cows are grazing all around. And they couldn't even sneek up on the cows! That is what the morons are hearing "in the Candian wilds" that they cannot identify. They are right when they say it is not coyotes making that sound. Its cows they are hearing. That is what happens when you go bigfoot hunting by a ranch you idiots. I could right a list of 500 reasons these people will never film a deaf three legged moose in live action. Never mind Bigfoot.

DeleteMoneymaker is the biggest crackpot ever, i watched an episode that clearly had coyote calls and hes was adamant that it was a Bigfoot. also i live in Utah and am very well versed in the forest fauna. and he claims it was an excellent place for Bigfoot. I have to disagree there is not enough edible plant life in the high Utah mountains to support groups of Bigfoot Utah is unique in that most of the animals would come out of the mountain and down in the valleys during winter. they can no longer do that as this is were we have built our cities. I do believe Moneymaker's crue could not sneak up and spot a slow moving turtle.

DeleteHis videos may not be the real thing, and that's bad enough of course when he claims it to be authentic, but at least he's trying to get the species protected. That effort is good. However, both he and Matt are wrong on one thing; this is not an animal they're chasing. Bigfoots are human, just a very different human, but still human. And the more they keep saying they're animals, something you can basically just shoot, the longer we'll have the goons with guns out there. The best guy in the field is Robert Morgan, that's who Todd should get together with and stop all this action man crap. In other words; get serious.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Todd refused to take the BFRO team to his BF site, and they got pissed. I think Todd comes across as more credible. He is right about video footage. With desktop publishing being what it is, no video will ever be credible. DNA samples are the minimum standard of proof.

Why would anyone allow their work to be associated with this group? Their methods of "attracting" bigfoot, their inability to find DNA evidence and the amateurish approach to the topic are an embarrassment to any serious bigfooter. No surprise here that Matt continues to attack anyone not associated with his center of the world.

But, for MM and his group to call anyone a "publicity hound" is the ultimate hypocrisy. I would love to get a petition going to stop "Finding Bigfoot"...it has enthralled many to go out, crashing through the woods in search of their own "Bigfoot". This species is getting even more harassed and it will only be a matter of (short) time before someone gets hurt or more BFs get killed.

ReplyDeleteI have not watched any of the finding bigfoot episodes. I will not support it by viewing it. I don't know Bobo or Ranae, or Cliff, This has nothing to do with them, but they are judged by their associate.
I had a friendly relationship with Matt Moneymaker in the past. It soon reverted to Bullying, Lying, and theft. All on Moneymakers behalf.
I refused to deal with matt in any format from that day forward. Too bad for the other people on the show and the producers. They should have investigated Matt's character and his dealings with others before signing contracts with him.
He is about rewarding loyalty to his people regardless of character, it is about what he wants regardless of right or wrong.
His [roducers have asked me for video's and pictures and reports of activity, I have politely declined their questions.
I have heard other peoples experiences with this louse, and that is their's to share. My experiences with him are my own and [paint a picture of a thief and a liar and a master manipulator.

DeleteCome on, I have watched episodes of the Finding Big Foot TV show myself! The four of them were so clueless, going out with no plan, unfamiliar with tools that they used in the show, contradicting themselves (they said something at the beginning of the show as if they were experience with certain tools and it turned out that they were completely wrong by the end of the episode and they had never used those tools and seen those kind of images before) and showed their lack of experience. I don't understand how Moneymaker could claim he had been hunting bigfoots for 15 years. He just came across as so clueless, inexperience. And they were half hearted and not even serious about the hunt. Oh so they thought they could stay one of two nights and Bigfoots will come say hello. They were so bad that it was not even funny. I thought they were four actors hired just to do the show to be honest. This Todd guy seems to be much more serious and more experience. The four bigfoot hunters look like bad amateurs compared to him in my opinion.

ReplyDeleteI don't care if I had to sell my baseball card collection, my bicycle, my tablet pc, or just about anything. I would buy at least a 10x optical zoom 1080p videocam or still cam with blur reduction so when I take my photos or vids they will be clear. You can get one now for under 200 dollars. That is why I feel that 99% of these photos and vids are a hoax just like the UFO ones. They are blurry, grainy, zoomed in using digital zoom, far away, or just plain bad. If you are a serious bigfoot researcher there is no excuse for not having a good camera. The photos and vids that Standing took are fake. His so called bigfoot photo's don't have any ape characteristics at all other than fur. He should have spent his money on serious research instead of costumes and make up.

The paprazzi who photograph celebraties from a distance, never have difficulty in getting reasonably good shots that allow you to recognise someone from half a mile away (topless no doubt) so I just can't understand why bigfooters can't use good equipment. A great photo taken with a DSLR and telephoto lens is much better than some crappy footage taken with a movie camera. Its as if most people don't want the to take the "great shot".

Of the four FB people, only Bobo has seen more than one Bigfoot. And Bobo thinks that the video is of a real Bigfoot. Notice how the Bigfoot uncharacteristically faces away from the camera, just like in the Hovey photo. This indicates that it wanted to be seen and perhaps photographed, but not recognized. Which indicates a change in their agenda.

There is nothing in Todd's video for Matt, so he clearly discredits it. The only Bigfoot that Matt has ever been around, was witnessed by his girlfriend when he was on top of her in the woods. She saw it clearly and had a Class A sighting, but Matt did not because he was facing the ground at the time and grunting, if you know what I mean. True story.

What ever people think about Todd Standing, we know that the group from Finding Bigfoot have made a living out of never ever finding a bigfoot themselves. If anybody in their right believes that the Finding Bigfoot crew is legitimate then you are sadly mistaking. These guys have signed so many contracts and NDA's that they have to perpetuate the lies. Tod like us(KX) work for ourselves and don't have to answer to anybody. All screaming hoax and conspiracy have absolutely no proof of claim whatsoever. The Bigfoot community has to find others to look up to fore they just don't know enough about the real history to fully understand Bigfoot and who they are and where they come from.

Just saw this guy on an episode of surviorman and his video evidence and footage is as good as anything I have ever seen on finding bigfoot or anything else connected to bigfoot.
