The Animal Planet website currently has a preview clip of the Canada episode that's airing this Sunday. The clip shows the Finding Bigfoot team doing an investigation on an alleged Bigfoot footage filmed by Canadian Bigfoot researcher, Todd Standing.
Back in September 2011, after filming in Canada, the Finding Bigfoot crew released a statement that was posted on the BFRO forum. They said they basically debunked Standing on camera and said his tales were full of contradictions and couldn't stand up to their questioning.
According to a post by forum user Bossburg, the crew had this to say about Todd Standing:
The wildly overblown, self-serving assertions made by Todd Standing in those Canadian newspaper articles are quite misleading. We interviewed Todd Standing, as one of several witnesses in Alberta. He used the opportunity to drum up publicity for himself in Calgary papers. That's what he's all about -- he's a publicity hound. We interviewed him and basically debunked him on camera. His tales were full of contradictions and couldn't stand up to our questioning.
Usually the four investigators are not unanimous when some of us feel a witness is not credible. In Todd's case we all came away feeling that he is not credible, and we said so afterwards.

The show hasn't even aired yet and Todd Standing is already on the defensive about the investigation. One comment posted by Standing a few days ago on the Finding Bigfoot website tells us he wasn't too fond about the ways the investigation was conducted:
Well congrats to the "Finding Bigfoot' team and producers. After being on hundreds of newspaper, radio and tv interviews and shows, the finding bigfoot production is the worst I have EVER seen. Their production company is Called"Snake oil productions" for a reason. They have no intention of finding bigfoot and they couldn't possiblly be stupid enough to believe they could. They literally filmed me in a spot they choose where cows are grazing all around. And they couldn't even sneek up on the cows! That is what the morons are hearing "in the Candian wilds" that they cannot identify. They are right when they say it is not coyotes making that sound. Its cows they are hearing. That is what happens when you go bigfoot hunting by a ranch you idiots. I could right a list of 500 reasons these people will never film a deaf three legged moose in live action. Never mind Bigfoot.

DeleteHis videos may not be the real thing, and that's bad enough of course when he claims it to be authentic, but at least he's trying to get the species protected. That effort is good. However, both he and Matt are wrong on one thing; this is not an animal they're chasing. Bigfoots are human, just a very different human, but still human. And the more they keep saying they're animals, something you can basically just shoot, the longer we'll have the goons with guns out there. The best guy in the field is Robert Morgan, that's who Todd should get together with and stop all this action man crap. In other words; get serious.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Todd refused to take the BFRO team to his BF site, and they got pissed. I think Todd comes across as more credible. He is right about video footage. With desktop publishing being what it is, no video will ever be credible. DNA samples are the minimum standard of proof.

DeleteFew of these Sasquatch Questers have relevant or even reputable credentials, but all seem certain they are experts in something. At looking foolish all around I reckon.
Why would anyone allow their work to be associated with this group? Their methods of "attracting" bigfoot, their inability to find DNA evidence and the amateurish approach to the topic are an embarrassment to any serious bigfooter. No surprise here that Matt continues to attack anyone not associated with his center of the world.

ReplyDeleteStanding should have taken the high road and just kept his mouth shut. His silence would have spoken volumes. But, for MM and his group to call anyone a "publicity hound" is the ultimate hypocrisy. I would love to get a petition going to stop "Finding Bigfoot"...it has enthralled many to go out, crashing through the woods in search of their own "Bigfoot". This species is getting even more harassed and it will only be a matter of (short) time before someone gets hurt or more BFs get killed.

ReplyDeleteI have not watched any of the finding bigfoot episodes. I will not support it by viewing it. I don't know Bobo or Ranae, or Cliff, This has nothing to do with them, but they are judged by their associate.
I had a friendly relationship with Matt Moneymaker in the past. It soon reverted to Bullying, Lying, and theft. All on Moneymakers behalf.
I refused to deal with matt in any format from that day forward. Too bad for the other people on the show and the producers. They should have investigated Matt's character and his dealings with others before signing contracts with him.
He is about rewarding loyalty to his people regardless of character, it is about what he wants regardless of right or wrong.
His [roducers have asked me for video's and pictures and reports of activity, I have politely declined their questions.
I have heard other peoples experiences with this louse, and that is their's to share. My experiences with him are my own and [paint a picture of a thief and a liar and a master manipulator.
