Last October, when Finding Bigfoot visited Ohio, the Deerassic Park auditorium broke the record for the most number of people to attend a Finding Bigfoot town hall meeting. The crowd exceeded 160 in numbers, more than any other Town Hall meeting Finding Bigfoot had ever held, according to Bigfoot Field Reporter Sharon Lee.

You can read Sharon Lee's article about the town hall meeting here.

An Ohio news website recently published information about Finding Bigfoot returning to Ohio for a second time to film a special episode for their upcoming season. The meeting will take place at the same location on January 21st, and they expect people to arrive between 11 to 11:30 a.m.:

  1. Matt looks like he's lost weight. I still wish this show was done more like Unsolved Mysteries.

  2. @Blondie-I believe that is an older photo. If Matt keeps expanding and continues to do this type of work,he could end up having a heart attack.
I'll tell you one thing,it isn't fun at all.

  3. Thanks SasquaiNation,Oh I hope he doesn't keep expanding. I can imagine it's hard work and apparently very stressful too. He is fun here on the boards and it would be sad to lose him...

  4. This episode probably isn't for Season 3, but rather a finale or last show for season 2. Sort of like the Bigfoot and Beer episode 7 at the end of Season 1 in which they took questions from the audience and talked about the episodes.

  5. Bigfoot and Beer? Does life get any better?

  6. The same old, same old, is apparently becomimg yet the same old crap. Why not film everything once and simply dub in new audio? There is no evidence that will stand scrutiny and this ridiculous show will certainly never provide any. This is mindless 'entertainment' and nothing else.

  7. It would be hilarious if they actually found bigfoot, and bigfoot beats the tar out of the cast.

  8. I'm sorry, I can't think straight--I have that damn "Back to Ohio" song by the pretenders stuck in my head now. I'm thrilled about the new season. I love this show and the team makes it fun.

  9. no what would be awwesome if moneymaker was a squatch female and it turns out he was only on the bfro team because he had an affair with bobo,ho is not only a stand in squatch but also a juvenille swquatch thatd be so joke wouldnt it.

Ummm that's exactly it's purpose. It's not being made for scrutiny. It is for entertainment and those who do not frequent bigfoot websites, etc. It's for the average person who doesn't know that much about Bigfoot. That's my impression anyway.

  11. Well put Blondie, you nailed it! ;D

  12. I THINK THEY FOUND OUT AFTERWARDS THAT THE VIDEO THEY SECURED FROM OHIO WAS FROM SOME REAL NUT JOBS AND THEY NEED TO GO BACK AND GET SOMETHING WITH LESS BAGGAGE AND HOAXING POTENTIAL.

  13. @Anon above, get a LIFE....Doesn't suprise me there coming back here. Salt Fork is a hot bed for activity. Probably found found some good evidence last time they were here. (See Sasquatch Triangle)

  14. Salt Fork Lake area is a hot bed for Bigfoot as is the entire Wayne National Forest. One of the most intriguing videos I have seen was filmed by Bob Daigle outside of Coshockton , Ohio in the early 1990's. It has never made the internet, and I would love to see it enhanced with modern tech. Unfortunately for me this area is 3 hour drive from me, as I am stuck in the dull flat farmland of Western Ohio. I would like to get a piece of property over there for weekend getaway, however the Wife isn't sold on it.

  15. The eastern US is now reporting more sightings than the Western states. Either the bigfoot population has migrated more eastward, or more people are simply willing to report their encounters.

I'm guessing probable the latter because of shows like Finding Bigfoot, websites like the BFRO and this one. People are finally getting the courage to come forward because of the popularity of the topic.

I have hiked alot of the "Wayne" and never really found anything squatchy. Not like Salt Fork. Seem's like everytime I go there, I see lots of "impressions" (some are very definative)that are very large. I have taken several picures, but pictures (phone) don't do them any justice. Also, lots of tree snaps/twist. Let me stop here and make this CLEAR...I AM NOT a researcher. I AM just a hiker. I'm NOT screaming sasquatch. Just sharing what I have seen. I don't plaster cast or do any calling stuff. I'm just an average "joe". Curious by nature. Salt Fork IS indeed an unusual place. There is also alot of Rock croppings and formations. Great places to hide.
    BTW, property is reasonable here....

  17. Ohio has one of the deeper and older BF research communities and independants (at least one with a sample in the DNA study). Without including some revelations from that community, Finding Bigfoot is more like a "Searching for Bigfoot" kind of tour group, including groupies via townhalls. Very Biscardiesque.

  18. Thanks for the reply Samuel 64. You are lucky to have this in your backyard. To me the best part is just hiking with my golden retriever, who always takes point, and taking in the glorious wonder of the forest world, and from time to time I will do a few knocks. I have driven through the Salt Fork area several times but have never hiked it, as it was always on business. I do plan on getting out there this year. Best of Luck

Golden Retriever???...Hmmm..You ought to meet "Samson" (say it slow and you'll get it..haha), he's my 130lb Golden. He's also my hiking companion. Never forget one time when we was hiking the backpacking trail in Shawnee State Park. That place is really Sasquatch creepy. Samson showed me sense's I never knew he had. Kinda like Autumn's West Virginia'a experience. We left the campsite almost on a dead run. We were being stalked, and miles from anyone. Samson was my eyes and ears.
Anyway's the last time FB came to SF I made a day out of it and done a bunch of hiking. I found some huge impression's, photo'd them to show the FB cast. I went to the hall meeting with the intention of sharing them. But after the meeting people swarmed the crew, and I didn't want to wait for hours. So I left.
It's cool when you get back in on some of the trails, there are old wagon roads, and some old foundations and such. Oh, and this huge pine forest........Can't wait to get back there. To many people there now for gun season...arg...
Better leave off there for now...
Oh yea, have to tell about pissing off Renee...another story, another time....hahaa

  20. I'm from Coshocton (right spelling Alpha Dog : ) )

I have heard some stories about Bigfoot being in that area. We have an AK plant outside of town and when I was in highschool/college in the early- mid 90s there was a report of a woman who saw one cross the highway- Route 16- near AK.

I was just in Salt Fork in Sept. I took a short hike and there are soo much wooded area something could be living there.

    ReplyDelete
  21. To armedohiocitizen. Sorry about the spelling. I know of the AK plant your are talking about. Unlike were I live, outside of Dayton, Oh which is nothing but rural, and some of the most fertile farmland in all of the country, Eastern Ohio is the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and forested as far as one can see. The rivers, creeks, tributaries, and total watershed abound due to the 40 plus inches of rain per year. In this area the Bigfoot is called the Ohio Grassman, and is spoken about from the day that the Native Americans first told of this magnificent Hairy Man of the forest. Our ancestors witnessed our cousin as did the early white man and it goes on to this day.

  22. To Samuel 64. I would love to meet Samson. He must be a truly remarkable beast. A Golden Retriever at 130 lbs is a monster of love and affection, and there is no better dog to have as a companion.

I have had a personal and glorious relationships with five goldens and every one has had a unique and personality. However they all had one thing in common, and that is to be an integral family member that is loyal, happy, and what can we do next attitude.

I love your dog's name Samson. My dog is named Rush and was a Christmas present from my wife 4 years ago, and is the most wonderful present I have ever received.

When you talked about Samson's senses I know. One time he listed to the Sierra Sounds Tape and went nuts. I think it is so neat to be able to have an encounter. I have found much evidence, mostly in Michigan, but have never encountered a Bigfoot by sight, however I have had vocalizations that have rocked me.

I would love to hear about pissing off Reane. Please tell me as soon as you can.
