Larry Surface Re-Releases Famous Night-Vision Screenshot of Bigfoot, Sets Up Legal Fund

In November 2011, Larry Surface released a night-vision footage of a sasquatch caught on tape in southern Ohio, near the residence of a senior citizen couple.

Since the removal of the footage, Larry has received tremendous support from friends in the Bigfoot community. Others like Matt Moneymaker, president of the BFRO, have been critical of the footage, suggesting it's probably a man (or possibly Larry Surface himself).

Last week, Larry was informed that his video had been pirated and sold to a major cable network. For legal reasons, he did not mention the network's name.

"I hope that I might have some legal recourse in the future. This is a great blow to me. I was not aware at first of how valuable it might be, then after being poor all my life, I thought my ship had come in," said Larry.

Larry has now set up a legal fund to raise enough money to fight back and win back the rights to his own footage.

Read below from Larry Surface's blog:

I feel that I must break my silence concerning my Bigfoot video for two overiding issues.

First, it has been pirated by an individual, and reportedly sold to a television network. Since that network will not answer my emails or phone calls, I feel I should go public and try to make it known to as many people as possible who the rightful owner is. And that any misuse will be prosecuted.

My original purpose was not for financial gain, but now I hope to raise enough money from it to prosecute this guy to the limit of the law.

Secondly, it distresses me to hear of Bigfoot being killed, and being hunted for the purpose of being killed. I hope that by informing the general public that Bigfoot is almost like us, that people will be less inclined to kill them, and that a greater outcry will be made whenever it happens. They are not Apes.

I hope that my video will aid in this informing process. The greatest obstacle are commercial minded self proclaimed experts such as Matt Moneymaker who denounce it as a fake because it looks like me or some other old man. These people are displaying to the world that they don't even know what the various Bigfoot creatures look like.

Matt says take a good close look, well if he had done that himself he would see that it is not me.

For that purpose I will post some still frame shots. Apparently the video itself moves too fast for the "experts" to see.

I have still not received the cleaned up version of the video.

  1. Pirated film? I'm telling you that the Bigfoot world is becoming more and more like Willy Wonka. There are Slugworths and there are Verruca Salts and in between a frenzied crowd tearing off candy bar wrappers right and left. I found that footage to be absolutely ridiculous, but if someone is going to be in the right place and the right time to capture BF, it is not going to be in those circumstances and looking that much like a person. I believe he thinks he got something valid, but I am honestly extremely doubtful. Oh, and Larry should have gotten a picture of himself looking down-it would be quite identical.

    1. You must know nothing about anatomy, because the creature in that video is not a Homo sapiens sapiens, no matter how close it looks to a human. There are several points to that creature that are not consistent with H. s. sapiens. It would not be identical to him or any other modern human, looking down or not. There are simply too many points of anatomical detail that do not match up. Anyone with even cursory knowledge of modern human anatomy could see that. What ever it IS, it ISN'T a modern human (Homo sapiens sapiens).

  2. I don't know how copyright laws work in the U.S.,but in Canada, any works you produce are your own property and protected.
The Gov. website does suggest copyrighting all materials because there is a paper trail. The fee is minimal and lasts for the life time of the owner plus an additional 50 years (if I remember correctly).
I think Larry can easily prove he is the rightful owner of this footage if he has archives and the original video in the camera.
It never ceases to amaze me how ruthless one human can be towards another.
Wasn't a copyright splashed across the video?
I would suggest anyone with good footage to put a watermark right through the middle of the video but have it just transparent enough to see what the subject is.
Document everything and if you can, copyright it legally.
Obviously copyrights over seas might be another issue.
So what now?Are people going to stop posting legitimate sightings for fear of them being stolen?
I hope Larry can sort this mess out.

  3. Man, I cannot believe I am saying this but MM is right this is not a Bigfoot and I think its Larry. I am bumbed to say it..... If you look at the shape of the head and the shading contrast of the Bigfoot in question it has the same shape of Larrys head with what appear to bee ears on the Squatch I honestly think its Larry in a ski mask with his head down and chin tucked in. Especially in the mouth and nose region the color in that area is very dramatic which supports my idea of him wearing a ski mask. If you have Adobe copy the images rotate them and put the proper shades in and at an equal zoom its the same size and shape.
Im sure Larry is a good dude and all but I'm just not buying this one.

    1. It certainly resembles Larry but it's difficult to say because the "Bigfoot" is so blurry.
The issue I have is one person taking another person's property.

  4. This is the clearest proof since the Patterson-Zapruder film. In both we clearly see a male Wood Ape moving from left to right and ironically (if irony actually mean coincidence)both beasts have lips, a brow and a conical-shaped head.

I have not seen such compelling organic evidence since the Bill Clinton/Fawn Hall scandal.

    1. The video from the kentucky site - the "pancake video" was posted back in about 09 or 10 for a few weeks. Matt Moneymaker owned it (the owners of property have a story to tell) and sold to Ep for about $25K...and he filed against Woolheater for posting on net (Woolheater had not signed any NDA)...and Craig countersued in Cali....the case dismissed voluntarily .. but you know someone has it as it was on net for a while..however, like larry's the res on net is less than original. So, same with Larry's....I don't think this will effect him or value of higher res vid/story.

  6. If this is bigfoot, then this squatch had all of its hair burned off, perhaps in a forest fire or campfire mishap.

  7. It isn't just the BF world on this one..it's the internet and the ability to steal almost anything. Copyrights, identities, anything... and the pursuit, the suing, costly and uncertain, and lengthy..really lengthy..and often judgement proof losers at the other end.
If they are International firm..I am really sorry. If US there is hope Larry... a temp injunction might be the first step...at least get it shelved until you have some funds...once they release then it will multiply and be out of your hands.. so an emergency temporary restraining order because it will cause irreparable harm to release to you.. just get alocal guy...or find the "agent" of the thieves and go to town...if it truely has value. If it doesn't have real serious value? You may well spend more than you get back and will of course expereince the legal systme in a way no one wants to or should. Of course someone having a pirated version doesn't prevent you from selling yours, say to a firm with more resources..and assign them the copyright to follow up with the deadbeats? good luck

  10. I actually know someone who had a fairly good thermal of a BF who now discredits the same because someone stole it and published on the net to exploit for themselves. not enough value to sue, and so it goes... the guy trying to steal now left with no good backup witnesses. From the comments here if the low resoution version was pirated it should not matter because they will have to get someone to endorse it..or it is junk right? a blip in a stupid homemade Bigfoot movie...cable what...so don't Panic..

  11. Sure doens't look what the preception of a bigfoot is. Patty looks big and bulky, and like an animal. The latest string of videos look a lot smaller, and a lot more human like. It's getting real hard to figure out what could be real, and whats not.
If I were Larry, i would not post that picture of himself in conjuction with the alleged BF. It looks a LOT like him.

  12. People seem to forget that Larry had in the past submitted a photoshopped Bigfoot picture to a magazine.

  13. I agree with the this being stolen. Seriously some people need to get freaking lives or a job. I did the image comparison at work today, and if I remember I will try to get it to Shawn. No promises, I'm actually supposed to have a busy schedule tomorrow, but it never works that way.

  14. HI NATURALIST, NICE TO SEE YOU BACK!!!!

My question is this- Why would someone fake a Bigfoot photo or picture with something that looks entirely different than the preconceived notion of what Bigfoot looks like???

I cannot figure that one out.

  15. I don't think Larry is faking the video...I think it is just a misidentification...Yes it looks like just a normal man...

  18. It's either Larry or the old man living at the "site"... Larry goes on quite a bit about being poor, but the "legal defense fund" might keep him in cheese and crackers for a while longer. What's this about him submitting a photoshopped pic to a magazine? Interested in the details of that...

  19. Why would anyone think that this clip shows a sasquatch? Since when does bigfoot not look anything like bigfoot?

  23. The creature in this enhancement looks 'just like' Larry Surface about as much as the Patterson creature looks 'just like' a man in a fur suit.
I cannot fathom how people are myopic enough to actually believe that Mr. Surface would be stupid enough to hoax a video (with himself as the subject) and then use a photo of HIMSELF as a comparison!
As the young people would say, "Wow. Just ...wow."

  24. Bigfoot is so boring. It isn't real. Is this a fake site? I was looking for my capital one online payment service and it took me here for some reason. Are you all a bunch of kids? every picture ever taken of it is totally fake, and it's extremely obvious. Is this some sort of furry site? Do you guys meet and shack up? Look at the pictures on the right; it's a bear or an ape. What a stupid pastime. Some of you really believe in this thing? How embarrassing. I'm sure this is some sort of hoax site, this can't be adults can it? Everything larger than a beetle is accounted for in N. America. my cell phone takes better night pictures than any of these photos of Bigfoot. And i bought it in 2004. Is this for real? There's no way anyone can believe in Bigfoot. It doesn't exist. There is absolutely no evidence that it does. Is this some sort of fantasy site? Do you all have some type of cards like Magik: the Gathering or what ever it's called? Is this like a Bigfoot D&D type blog? You can't convince me this is real. I don't believe for a second a normal person would be duped by the Bigfoot stuff. Is this a comic blog meant to get bill-payers like myself caught in some candid camera like Bigfoot web? Are you all jobless? Is this an online video game or something? You're school children, right? some of the comments read as practical joke like stuff. Is this a practical joke site? Am I being X'd? Bigfoot is fake, don't you know that? You'll waste an entire life and never see one. They'll never find anything because it's all so fake. Move on. So dull. Shadows of guys in suits and burlap flapping on a branch. Nothing there. it must be incredibly frustrating being a Bigfoot follower. never anything new. never a video worth seeing. all lies. everyday. day after day. nothing interesting except when you pretend to believe something. For years that classic video was studied and all the experts said no human could walk like that and "look it turned it's head and shoulders at the same time," it can't be a human. It was a human in a suit. Exhausting. Every footprint looks like a deflated football with deflated tennis balls for toes. blughh. always the same. never a shred of real evidence. boring boring boring. why would you choose such a phony topic to dive into? once you've spent a day or two looking into it and realize it's fake, don't you just get bored. Hey a new photo or video! oh, it's a suit or a monkey or a lady dress that blew away and was poorly recorded at night. all fake. Can't you see that? don't you know. Are you all doing this for shack up reasons. Is this a love site?

    1. You are obviously nothing more than a dull hypocrite. Talk about getting a life, but yet you have time to ramble on and on about paying bills. Also, why would anyone value what your thoughts on any subject would be when you were unable to even find the right website for your Capital One payment service. How in the world do you attempt to get to the Capital One website and manage to end up here. You, obviously, are not a very smart person, and your opinions matter to no one but yourself. When you develop the knowledge to at least find the correct website for your credit card, then maybe, just maybe someone, not me by any means, but someone may listen to what you have to say. Hell, they may even put some slight semblence of value to it, but I seriously doubt that as a possibility.

  27. Hey Mr. Online-billing, what is your problem? Do you have no respect for anyone? I'm sure you have interests that would make sense to no one but you and a couple of your 40 year old buddies that live with their mothers. You are extremely rude and have no right to criticize people's "beliefs". I'm sure you're the type of person who makes fun of everyone's thoughts and opinions. Please, just don't comment if you have nothing enriching to say. If you really looked into it, you would prabably find it a very interesting and plausible topic. I don't care if you think this is a stupid thing to care about. I hope you have a class-A encounter soon. Good luck Mr. Online-billing.
