The proof that the Sasquatch is not only the closest living human relative but is actually a contemporary living human. Also discussed is nuclear DNA testing performed on the same samples and the variations found in various genes including MC1R gene RUNX2 and FOXP2 as well as other targets genes involved in the perception of sound, transmission of nerve signals, the production of sperm and the lactase gene. Also discussed is how testing has ruled out ape cross and any ancient contributor and that Sasquatch is indeed a modern human with some genetic mutations accounting for their physical appearance. 2. (Assuming this is legit...) Note the registration date: 2010-09-16. This was Ketchum's thinking and expected date of release as per September, 2010. I suspect things have changed a great deal since then. Don't hold your breath for a Feb film.

  6. It's really nice to see you on here again apehuman!

  7. What grabs my attention is where it says the DNA shows a fully modern human with no ape cross or ancient contribution of DNA.

Not an ape, not a relict "prehistoric" hominid (ie neanderthal, Denisovian etc).

Cool stuff. I'm ready for the biggest dupe of my lifetime or the biggest discovery in biology since the double helix!!

  8. Protect them now.
Is there any initiative in place?

  9. I would hope a murder charge would be a bit of an initiative.

  10. The reason her "DNA testing" is showing only modern human genes:

She is setting things up so as to be able to claim inadvertent human contamination when her fraud is eventually exposed.

There are other portions of her DNA samples that will eventually be tested by other scientists. Those samples will be shown to be from known animals or from regular Homo sapiens donors ... and it will all start looking very suspicious. And when there's no other explanation but fraud, she'll come forward to admit that "mistakes may have been made" during her DNA testing. Of course, that will be after many hundreds of thousands of dollars will have been directed her way.

If she does not set up that faux mistake right now, then she could be charged and arrested for fraud later, or at least sued by her sponsors.

Melba is a female con artist. She's going to use this book/film project to attract more optimistic backers for this DNA project -- the goal being a scientific journal article that will never make it through any scientific peer review (because its a scam).

  11. Go away pretend skeptic and eat crow, mister. lol And yes, let's oficially protect this species now, and I do mean right now. Maybe it's already done, or under way as we smalltalk here. Surely if Dr. Ketchum has the good, she will eventually be that caring and foreseeing also.

  12. Anonymous- Wow- what a statement, you certainly have a sourse right. Would you please post your source, or is your statement about Melbas' atricle(s) being fraud just your own opinion. ptangier

    ReplyDelete
  13. I still suspect it isn't true, but I also stand by my statement that I will change my mind if presented with sufficient evidence.

If it happens will I "eat crow"? No. I have no reason to believe in bigfoot now. The default position is disbelief. Anyone who DOES believe without adequate proof is wrong. Of course, you could have had an experience that convinced you. You must realize that anecdotal evidence is not enough to convince someone else. Or it shouldn't be.

I'm reminded of that scene in The Life of Brian where all the holy men are spouting various nonsense. No matter how weird their claims, they get followers.

Give me evidence and I will believe.

  14. Typical holier than thou trendy Atheist talk, show me and I'll believe. lol How about some common sense applied once in a while, these beings both could and probably do live according to both study and historic/present reports. There has to be reality before discovery. The Bigfoot skeptic really is no different from the old Columbus skeptic, time always prove them wrong. The people with the ridiculing attacks will have to eat crow, and big time it seems, whether that's someone like you Fundy only you know yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  15. As a natural skeptic and student of science, I find it to be bad practice to dismiss the proposed evidence as a hoax without having examined said items. As a claimed atheist I would think you should know this. I do not believe in bigfoot, but I can asure you that noone will risk their Ph. D name over something they know to be a hoax that will be easily disproved. Even if they made it out with their title it would be worthless. You sound as if you are have a emotional response rather than one of informed skeptisism.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Wow, if what she claims is true than this will be quite a game changer, i agree with the previous post, i cant imagine someone risking their entire career and reputation on a hoax. She would be ruined and have no shot @ being taken seriously ever again, i look forward to seeing published results

  17. i don't know if the readers are getting the point here. ketchum proposed a movie that she claimed would prove her claims about the "bigfoot tribe" well BEFORE she had any factual data to back up these claims. then she apparently later conducted a scientific study that somehow also came to the same conclusion. (we can only guess here, since we haven't read the paper yet.)
instead of enthusiasm, readers should be feeling the earthquake tremors. This makes her look like a fraud.
i can't understand why people aren't getting this.
i am a bigfoot witness, and i seriously doubt that anyone can capture or kill one of these beings, because of the behavior i witnessed.
ketchum has had previous problems with reliability and professionalism in her regular dna testing business. it was asked why would she damage her credibility? she already has damaged credibility in the "real world." the bigfoot world is beyond issues of credibility. here anything goes. some people hoax, prevaricate and delay. why? i don't know.
but knowing she had a media project planned well before her study was conducted makes the whole thing smell. bad.

    1. What kind of behavior did you observe?? Very curious. If I could ever get funded I would bring one in regardless of behavior patterns.

      Delete
  18. Yea right...

    Usually a sagittal crest observed, sometimes a massive sagittal crest/cone peaked head;

Canine fangs observed, sometimes larger than Gorrila & Orang... sometimes even in females.

"no neck" above shoulders nearly always reported so whole body has to turn when turning the head to look sideways.

    "Black" prehensile tongues; no arch of the foot, large male sizes of 9' to 16' height reported, weights approaching a ton or more;

Likely underhair/underfur as in a monkey if origin is Yeti/Abominable Snowman. Hair patterns as in gorrila or chimp, Coat shag length often exceeding orangs.

Even the most archaic Homo Erectus has none of the above features.

And mind you this is even the reported appearance of Bigfoots even after human DNA is introduced into their genepool making a hybrid due to their satyr tendencies toward human Homo Sapiens females.

  19. if it is homo sapiens could be sapiens idaltu instead of sapiens sapiens

  21. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP!!! Where is the DNA source from?? If you can't verify the source then it doesn't matter what you have!!! What a bunch of idiots!! WHEN squatches are proven to exist by a specimen THEN DNA studies can be performed. IF THEY DISCOVERED DNA THAT WAS HUMAN-LIKE BUT NOT A KNOWN PRIMATE THAT WOULD BE COMPELLING!! Claiming to have some Sasquatch DNA that is human DNA is complete BS. Obviously "Dr." Ketchum (what is she, a vet??!!) doesn't understand what DNA is or what it does otherwise they wouldn't make this ridiculous human claim. Last time I checked there weren't any humans running around entirely covered in hair, seven to eight feet tall and weighing 600 plus pounds with 18" feet!! IF THIS IS WHAT Sasquatches ARE THEN THEY MUST HAVE DIFFERENT DNA MORONS!!!
